Pet Club San Mateo

Great source for all things pets - and at really excellent prices. Big selection of items for cats, dogs, small mammals, birds, fish - food, fun, beds, meds, etc. It's a really big store with a huge selection of products.

Parking is easy - it's in the same small shopping center as Smart and Final.

Staff are friendly.

Not your typical pet store. Definitely with more local roots, they have a good selection for a lot of different animals, but I feel like they understand the pet customers here in San Mateo - which I can't say is true for the big-box stores. This is where I go to get all my dog food, and have a selection for my dog's other needs as well!

Pet Club of San Mateo is the best animal care store on the Peninsula. From my observation, I feel that the Pet Club beats out Pet Smart & Petco. The pet food prices, medicine, and equipment are competitive. The store offers a mobile veterinarian service on Sundays. I particularly appreciate the huge stock and clean store. I also appreciate the staff and managers who are always helpful and consistently nice. Whenever I shop, I learn something new about pet products because of the rotating product line. The parking lot for Pet Club is plentiful and seems safe. I recommend a visit. The Pet Club in San Mateo 5 stars is well deserved.

I feed multiple cats, so cost is really an issue, and the prices at Pet Club are the very best anywhere. Their merchandise is easy to find and the employees are very helpful. It is a warehouse with a wide array of pet supplies, and if you're lucky you will see many cute and well behaved pets! Love the place. It's worth a drive from Daly City to San Mateo to stock up!

MASSIVE stock and variety of cat and dog foods. Huge variety of small animal food, treats and toys (birds, rabbits, Guinea pigs etc) not to mention they also sell goldfish and other types of live fish and also reptile supplies. Prices are really cheap too compared to big box stores (target, Walmart, safeway)

Been shopping for pet supplies here nearly 30 years. Great prices, weekly specials, and most of all rarely out of stock on items I've needed mainly for cats over the years. Cat/kitten adoption fairs often. Also vaccinations usually on Sundays if I recall correctly. They have a lot to offer.

Great prices! My dog’s food is a full dollar per can cheaper here than at any of the other stores or even online sources. When he eats almost a can a day that really adds up.

This place has great prices. I love being able to find many healthy food and treat options for both my cat and dog. They have a good supply of toys available too.

Since the Pet Club by me in SSF closed I now come to this one on san mateo as they have the particular bird food I like to get. Friendly & helpful employees, animal friendly environment & good prices.

Even though the me is Pet Club, you do not need a membership in order to shop here. The prices for excellent quality food (talking Blue Buffalo, Blue Diamond, Holistic, Etc.) Are incredibly reasonable.

I paid 50$ at PetSmart for the two bags of dog food I mix for my dog, here it's only 34.98 (and that includes a treat for all 5 of my animals too!).

You can also buy live crickets and mealworms, not to mention they sell mice and rats for reptiles. They have a wonderful fish section, and they have a modest bird selection.

Also, they just started accepting credit cards, and also take contactless payments (Apple Pay, Android Wallet).

Honestly, give this small chain a chance, you won't be disappointed!

This place is GREAT! Centrally located with the best prices. They have the expensive brands as well as the generic. You can find just about anything you could possibly need. Pet Club is like Costco but your your animals... when you go in there things are self-explanitory. If you can't figure it out on your own, your better off going to Petco etc where they over charge you but the service is better.

Great Prices, friendly staff, and a huge variety of products. Plus, coupons are usually in all the San Mateo circulars to save extra $$$ and they frequently have samples.
