We stumbled upon this shop by chance in our after dinner walk and our little one craved some sweets.
If you’re into European pastries, this place will be your paradise. Lots of fantastic stuff that are both eye-catching and tasty.
We ordered 3 pastries: chocolate cake, vanilla flan and coffee eclair. The eclair was a but too sweet to me, but I liked the vanilla flan. My son loved his chocolate cake and finished one whole slice.

Loved the taste, Loved the service, Loved the atmosphere. We ordered Signature Chocolate Tart and Paris-Brest pastries. These two items are out of this world. To balance the sweetness, we ordered Americano Coffee... It was a great combo. The atmosphere was lively even at 8pm the next day to black Friday when the Castro st was not that busy. Must visit this place.. on the expensive side though l.

This French pastry shop in Mountain View is renowned for its excellence. We adore visiting and indulging in their delectable treats. Their selection is impressively diverse. While the hot chocolate is quite tasty, it leans towards being sweeter than my preference. Additionally, the outdoor seating area is particularly pleasant in the evening, and the staff is truly delightful.

We called and they said they use fish gelatin (as opposed to pork), so we got their seasonal mousse cakes, which were tasty! The canele was not the best I have had, but I appreciate that they offer it!

Was recommended this place by a local and checked it out while visiting the area - it didn’t disappoint.

The patisserie were delicate and very flavourful and I really enjoyed the ham and cheese croissant - make sure you ask for it to be heated.

Coffee is not amazing but decent.

One of the best French patisseries/bakeries in Mountain view downtown at Castro street. We absolutely love coming here whenever we are craving for cakes or crossaints. Their cakes are not very sweet, which we love. Perfect sweetness - just like how you get in Europe!

Their coffee is not as strong but still love their cappuccino. You can always add extra shorts. Their hot chocolate used be our favorite as well but now we find it a bit too sweet (not as sweet as other places I've tried). If you haven't tried, I highly recommend it.

The best European pastry in the area!

I recommend their almond croissants and raisin pastry. The cake selection is spectacular.

Note their coffee is just ok, there's a coffee shop across the street with better coffee.

We loved this place when looking for a dessert to pick. The location is great where a lot of eateries are around. The parking was little bit challenging but we found a spot in a parking lot. The bakery has a European feel and the dessert selection was good. The pastries we ordered tasted great.

Update: after two years, we have stopped again and ordered several items as to go. The pastries are still very good and it was quite crowded

Maison Alyzée is an amazing bakery and I highly recommend them for your wedding cake needs. I'm French and my husband is American so we were trying to have some parts of both of our cultures represented and decided on a traditional french wedding cake called pièce montée (aka croquembouche). We looked around the Bay to find someone who would make a 150-choux tower and deliver it to our venue in the Santa Cruz mountains. We drove to Mountain View to try out Maison Alyzée's pastries and were really impressed by the quality and the creativity of the items we tried. We decided to go ahead and the chef patissier actually called us to talk about all the details of the cake and make sure our vision would come to life. The final cake was absolutely AMAZING! All of my French family was impressed with how authentic it tasted and everyone was baffled by how beautiful it looked. The staff at Maison Alyzée was easy to work with, very communicative, and willing to accommodate even as we decided to change the delivery time close to the event. Overall, it was a great group of people to work with and an incredible cake. Highly recommend!!

Had their harmony cake at a friend’s birthday party and it was out of the world. The crispy layer at the bottom beautifully compliments the gooey smooth chocolate cake. So far, the best chocolate cake I’ve ever tasted.

Edit:
We got to visit the store in person and tried out the chocolate almond croissants! They were great!

Our friends brought us here for breakfast. They said here has the best croissants ever. And I totally agree after I tried it. It was soooooo crunchy outside and soft & buttery inside. I had a classic croissant and my friend had an almond croissant. My husband ordered a cheesy egg bread breakfast with ham in it and salad on the side. It’s really delicious. It just took a while for it to be made. So if you want a quick breakfast, just grab a pastry on the counter. Their coffee is awesome too. Very impressive bakery!

I kept wowing because the desserts are so cute and exquisite like the ones I had in Paris. I liked their diverse selection of tarts. The pistachio tart was not too sweet and mousse was well balanced. Price was around $11. I love to try their coffee and pastries too!

Wow! One of the best pastry places in the Bay Area. The chocolate coffee based dessert I got here was amazing. It had quite a bit of texture in it and the sweetness was just perfect! You also get coffee here. I would suggest this place for dessert after your lunch or dinner at any restaurants in castro street.

Had the chocolate croissant and it was really good! They said that lavender latte is on the sweeter side so I just got two pumps of the syrup (normal is 5) and it was just right. The shop itself is kinda small, but the food is good. It’s sad that they don’t have matcha flavored food or drinks tho.

Best European hot chocolate in the Bay area with a dash of hazelnut. The chocolate is not too sweet not too bitter, just right.
We also ordered the lemon meringue tart- which looked like a dream and tasted quite alright- a bit too eggy for our taste

Modern interiors mixed with classic French cafe styles. Diverse dessert selections that look as good as they taste! We tried the lemon tart and noisette - both exquisite!

Indulgent and exquisite. Seriously good desserts but outrageously priced. Each pastry is $10+. I guess they’ve tried to be exclusive, but come on.. even the best cafes in Paris wouldn’t be this expensive.

I love this place. We went here on a Monday afternoon, so there wasn’t a lot of rush. We ordered the ‘Harmony’ and the Chocolate Tart and both were scrumptious. Harmony reminded me of the toffee that I used to have a kid, it being in melted form, along with a few other ingredients. Chocolate Tart was well, quite chocolate-y without being just over the top sweet. We also ordered a latte, which tasted great too.

The servers and cashier were polite too, and their service was prompt as well. They’ve tables and chairs both inside and outside. Ample free parking is available nearby. The place is located in downtown Mountain View. They’ve quite an extensive menu of what I gleaned were, quite delectable looking desserts.

Just some general trivia: Since I’m interested in French culture in general, I inquired what Alyzee meant while paying for everything. I knew Maison means ‘house’ in French. The person working there told me Alyzee is a name after Alicia, the daughter of the restaurant’s owner, and so the place is literally translated to Alicia’s house.

I’ll be back here soon.
