Current Silicon Valley Church

Nice church in the heart of the silicon valley, affiliated with the late Pastor Tim Keller's Redeemer church. A lot of international members and many children. A healthy and sustainable church.

Current SV is a beautiful community and a much needed piece of Silicon Valley. It can be tough at times to feel fulfilled in a place where it is easy to get wrapped up in work/school. The congregation is incredibly welcoming and supportive, and the leadership do a great job “getting out of the way” for everyone to form/develop their own relationship with God. Overall, this church is filled with very understanding and knowledgeable people. And as mentioned at each service, “You are welcome wherever you are on your spiritual journey.” I also highly recommend taking the Alpha group course which is specifically designed for for people with questions about Christianity or faith in general.

I love current! The community is so strong and everyone is so welcoming. The staff is so intentional about their outreach and they make sure to create a space that encourages biblical fellowship and growth. David's sermons are meaningful and theologically sound and he always manages to make the message applicable but not too contemporary as to take away the original context and meaning. Definitely come and visit on a Sunday and take advantage of the free visitor lunches!

We love Current! We felt welcomed and embraced by the Current community from the moment we joined. The journey of my faith was nurtured through their Alpha program, where I could ask questions without hesitation. Joining a Sunday team allowed me to serve alongside amazing people while building lasting relationships. If you are looking for a loving community that will help you grow in your faith... this is the one!! After being new to the area but unable to find a church due to the pandemic, we could not be happier to have found Current in 2021.There are so many great options of meeting new people and getting plugged in! The new space (located at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View) is also amazing.

I am so thankful for all the wonderful things God is doing at Current. It is incredible to see the way His love and truth is embraced in this community.

The pastor at this church is very knowledgeable and love listening to his sermons on Sundays. Many church sermons these days have become more “motivational speeches” and the focus is on the speaker but David really goes DEEP into His word and goes to the hard parts and makes us reflect. There’s no random “Let’s go” or “Yes” or cheers from the audience during the sermons which is nice for people who enjoy a more mellow / reflective Sunday service. Mixed ages and lots of families. Would highly recommend visiting!

I attended and served at this church for six months. It was great getting to be apart of a community of caring people! When I return to the Bay Area, I'll be sure to visit again!

This church has become a second family. We're not from the area so it was so important to find a church where we could get plugged in and have friendships built around Jesus.

Current is very friendly and welcoming. We love the relaxed feel (blue jeans are the norm - no need to impress) and great worship (plenty of Tommy Walker - haha - with some hymns too).

There are a variety of Current Groups (Bible study groups) for getting to know people and for following Jesus together. And a great Sunday school program and family-oriented events for those with kids. I think we average about 100 people on Sundays, but I'm bad at those "how many marbles are in the jar" games so I don't know :-)

I definitely recommend checking Current out if you're looking for a church, or just curious what a church following Jesus even looks like.

Current is a very welcoming place: my wife and I were greeted in a natural, friendly manner and connected with several folks after the service on Sunday. We joined a weekly Community Group where we apply and explore Christianity and, most importantly, build meaningful relationships.

Current is a great place to build a community, irrespective of your spiritual beliefs, and caters well to young professionals and families alike.

Current is a great church home! My wife, daughter, and I have been welcomed, plugged in, and involved in small groups. So many great friendships have been formed! Come join us!

Can you say "Coolest church ever"? What an incredible group of people. A snow cone machine for second anniversary!! I have been to a lot of churches over the years, but never have I felt more comfortable and accepted then with Current. Highly recommend stopping by -- everyone is truly welcome here.

I love how welcoming this church is. My friend and I went this week for the first time and we felt super welcomed. If you are looking for a Christian church I where you can get involved, I would try Current.
