Dr Niyati is the best Endodontist in the Santa Cruz area. I work at a Dental office and all of our patients are always happy and comfortable with Dr Patel. I unfortunately needed a root canal and only wanted to see Dr Patel since she is known to be the best and spoken very highly of in the dental community! Plus she is one of the nicest people you will ever meet! She was able to get me in as an emergency since I was in extreme pain. She even stayed late. I can not thank her or her staff enough! Her staff is very friendly and knowledgeable as well! They all make you feel very comfortable knowing you are in pain or possibly scared. Dr Patel makes you feel comfortable and understand everything to expect from start to finish. She completely took me out of pain and did a perfect root canal as well! I can not say enough good things about her or her staff. If you need a root canal I highly recommend you see Dr Niyati Patel.

I am the world's biggest dental wimp and my root canal with Dr. Patel was a breeze. It was easier than having a filling and I was comfortable throughout the entire procedure. I laughed, during my second appt. because the banter between Dr. Patel and her assistant was funny. I strongly recommend her.

I recently had my first root canal treatment done by Dr. Patel and all I can say is she is among the best practitioners I've had the pleasure to encounter. Having done my own research on this procedure and procrastinated long enough where I was in a lot of pain Dr. Patel immediately put me at ease with her confidence, high level expertise & knowledge in this field and how patient she was with me throughout the treatment. I have complete trust in her capabilities and appreciate the level of care and empathy she demonstrated. While I hope I never have to have a root canal again as its quite an extensive process I will not think twice about visiting Dr. Patel and her practice. I highly recommend her!

What a wonderful team of people. This obviously comes from the top! Dr Patel went to great lengths to fit me in for a very painful root canal treatment. There was even angelic singing from her assistant. It was a fun visit and very professional.

Dr Patel is a real gem. She was so gentle and considerate with me and my extreme dental anxiety. She works very hard and is accommodating when you have an emergency. The office staff and dental assistants are awesome too. I would go back but I hope I don’t have to.

Dr Patel did my root canal last week. Obviously I’m not a dental professional, but by her account, my dentist’s warning and the images of my tooth and its roots I was shown, this was not your average root canal. I want to write because Dr Patel was remarkable for her cheerful good humor and her steady hand. I recommend her highly; I doubt you can do any better.

My experience at Dr. Patel's office has been a very positive one and I highly recommend her practice. The staff is very professional, the office is clean and beautiful. Most importantly, the work that Dr. Patel and staff performed on my rtc is phenomenal. She was very patient in working through my initial fears and ensured that I felt no pain during treatments. You're in good hands here!

Dr. Patel is awesome. She is patient and kind and seems genuinely concerned about her patients. I have zero complaints about her skills. She did a root canal for me last year and I have had no problems since.

After having ptsd from a childhood dentist, years of neglect followed. And a big fear of going back to the dentist, add covid, Dr. Patel and her staff put my mind at ease, and offered sedation for my dental work. So if your in need of a root canal rest assured that Dr. Patel and team will comfort and care for your needs. Thank you Dr. Patel & Dental Team

My son had a traumatic injury playing basketball late at night, rushed to Dominican ER right away - couldn't do anything except applying a 'cement'. He came home still bleeding and the teeth were totally dislocated when he woke up in the morning. Walked in at Dr. Patel's clinic first thing in the AM. I noticed she already had patients on the chairs but they attended him RIGHT AWAY! Gio performed a CBCT scan right away, treated/aligned/bonded his teeth when walked out the door in an hour! Praise God for Dr. Patel's amazing craftmanship!🙏🏽

I had a root canal by Dr. Patel, and was amazed that I had absolutely no pain at all afterwards. Totally eliminated the pretty acute pain I had been feeling and no discomfort at all from the procedure itself.

Dr. Patel called me personally about what happened to me and a failed root canal after several years. I very much appreciated that. They also were extremely accommodating and got me in right away before a big trip. On the other hand, for various reasons the root canal ultimately failed. Neither she nor my now ex-dentist thought there was anything wrong. I ultimately had to go to a dentist with a 3D x-ray and sure enough the tooth had abscessed and had been that way for some time. However, after her calling me personally to talk about it, these things sometimes happen. I believe she did the best she could.

I was unhappy with the lack of communication during the root canal. Things can become apparent during the procedure which require the Dr to change the plan. This happened to me and with devices in my mouth while I was waiting for her to resume I was physically unable to ask a question. She never told me what was going on. I thought from her and staff bustling about, taking me to another room and leaving me alone (for about 1/2 hour)that something had gone terribly wrong. I have had other root canals and something like this has never happened to me before. I am used to a dentist who is communicative, recognizing that the patient cannot ask questions when something is in their mouth. Kind of basic.
Only when it was all over and I could ask a question did she tell me that nothing was wrong but it took longer than expected and she needed to make me wait in another room while she started another patient. She became defensive when I, as nicely as I could, gave her the feedback that her lack of communication left me frightened in the room alone. She did not thank me for telling her and/or apologize, but basically blamed me for not trusting her competence. Clearly she was not curious to learn how to improve patient experience.
I need a dentist who cares about how I feel not just about my teeth.

I recently had a consultation at Micro Endodontics of Santa Cruz, and unfortunately, my experience was quite frustrating. Upon arrival, I was informed that Dr. Patel would only provide the consultation if I agreed to a $300 CAT scan, which seemed excessive for the symptoms I was experiencing – puffiness around my gums with no sensitivity in the tooth. I requested to speak with Dr. Patel before committing to the scan, hoping to discuss the necessity of it. However, after a prolonged wait, Dr. Patel insisted on the CAT scan before proceeding with the consultation. To my dismay, I later discovered that my insurance did not cover the additional exam fee, even though the office claimed to "accept" my insurance without specifying it was out of network.

Despite the mounting frustrations and the realization that I was paying an unexpected high fee, I proceeded with the CAT scan due to concerns about my dental health. After an extended wait, Dr. Patel revealed that it was a minor gum irritation, suggesting only maintaining cleanliness in the area. Following the consultation, Dr. Patel assured me that she would relay the information to my dentist. However, when I contacted my dentist two weeks later, they had received no communication from Micro Endodontics. This lack of transparency in addition to the lack of follow-through on their part has left me dissatisfied with the overall experience.

I was charged a whopping $300 for a consultation. Right at the beginning, the tech said they needed to do a CAT scan of my tooth and that it would be $150. Really? Yes, Dr. Patel needs it for diagnostic purposes. I reluctantly consented. Then after the examination, I was presented a bill for $300, $150 consultation fee and $150 for the CAT scan. Dr. Patel and her staff should let people know ahead of time that her consultation fee is $150 and $150 for a CAT scan (that she requires). Financial transparency creates trust.
