Just like Whole Foods but smaller and less selections. The deli has the staples of salads and hot foods but selection is limited. For a downtown business, they have a huge parking lot in the back which is very convenient. Great place to go pick up a quick bite.

This place has saved me more time then you could imagine.

Great little specialty grocery store. They have a nice selection of upscale items. There is a parking lot in the back of the store which has a back entrance. It's not very big though. The isles are kind of narrow and small so it gets a little tight during prime-time hours. They have a nice produce department, deli, and hot-prepared food section. It is a little bit on the small side so the selection is limited to, let's say, compared to a Whole Foods. They have an awesome department which is separated to the side of the store where they carry all of the body and health care products. Great selection of natural choices. The staff are friendly and the store is clean.

It's a well run store that I visit several times a week. You'd think, being in downtown Santa Cruz, that it'd feel kinda scuzzy. Somehow they deal well with the downtown drama that rolls in off the street, and keep it clean and friendly. Well and thoughtfully stocked. Not particularly cheap but consider the quality and the location.

New Leaf is a great place for vegans, vegetarians and meat lovers across the board. The hot bar and salad bar always have something for everyone.
There is a wide variety of items throughout the store from local businesses and from around the world.
The staff are always friendly and helpful

This is a wonderful small chain of healthy and organic foods. They have very nice produce, always local when possible. There is a deli with truly delicious sandwiches and salads. The downtown New Leaf is a gift to everyone living downtown as it is the only complete grocery store there. The store on the Westside is much larger and has a bigger selection than the downtown store, but the quality is equally as good. Both stores have free parking.

Excellent, Healthy Food & Products. A little bit pricey at times, Sr. Citizen Discount 10% on Wednesdays. Employees are usually well-informed & helpful, Fresh Fruits, Vegetables + Vitamins, some jewelry, & much more. Quick, easy, close free parking.

This grocery store in DT SC is small, but has really great options for quick meals. The sandwich counter is especially good--I tend to make my own on the sourdough roll, which is delicious. Great smoothies, nice staff. Love it!

New Leaf Pacific has the best quality and craftspersonship available for food with EBT downtown. They will heat up cold food for you too!

My sandwich guru Chris has led me on an enlightening journey of sandwiches, and makes each one a masterpiece work of art that looks and tastes great because of the care he takes crafting it.

The sunflower sprouts are life changing. Every single sandwich should be tried with the sprouts. They are delicious little morsels of sunshine and happiness in every bite. I forgot to double check and I cried when I forgot them today. Apparently one can go through sprouts withdrawal!

My ayurvedic healer and chakra balancing consultant yogi told me not to worry, that I can go back Monday and order double sprouts. I feel relieved now. Appreciate that the deli counter is consistent and creates the change I want to see in the world of sandwiches.

Additional shout out to Troy who is a great checker and opens every morning with a smile. His great attitude and contagious positivity can turn a stubborn frown upside down every time. Great customer service and outstanding attention to detail.

Great food. Great service. Excellent produce. A very wide and wonderful variety of items at competitive prices. I often find great deals at both 41st and Westside markets. Downtown is much smaller but still great. In fact they just did a special order for me for kombucha which was so helpful in that I don't have to drive out to the west side or to Aptos. So I would say three great locations!!!

They have the friendliest and most helpful grocers. Their deli food is always the freshest and their little cafe has yummy pastries. Plus a unique wine and brewed section.

Blessing to have such a great selection in the midst of downtown. A saving grace at times and reliable grocer always. Local beers and foods, deli, salad and hot bar. Produce and products from soap to water bottles and incense and much otherwise.

Seems like there veggies and other products look alot fresher. A verity of products that army at you other grocery store. Awesome deli products. A very friendly knowledgeable staff. They also have fresh milk in a glass bottles. Oh yeah..

Although the prices can be unwieldy, I can imagine that the cost of doing business in downtown Santa Cruz must be unwieldy too. Still, there no store in the downtown area that has a product line this store has coupled with the very important fact that I've shopped there many times without waiting in long lines at the cash register. Also, the opportunity to make up my own hot dish and have an immediately ready hot meal is very convenient.

Really like this place. They have a good selection — I feel like they do a better job than Whole Foods. That being said it is a little on the pricier side.

Love the healthy food at the salad bar! Thank you. I just grabbed everything I could fit into my box. Their salad bar has a good price and I always enjoy getting food here.

Awesome little shop. Little, though so not everything you need might be there. No deli, small deli selection. Hot bar, sandwich bar, and juice bars are great. Hot bar usually just has breakfast burritos. Great staff.

Great place and great people..that Dan Frank he's a swell kinda guy. Cooks up some of the best grub anywhere. Stop by and say hi to the guy..works at the hot bar creating cool concoctions of all sorts..the dude can cook let me tellya..
