Great orthodontist services and incredibly friendly staff who were able to help me very quickly and at a great cost even though I was from out of town. Also doc is a surfer so it's very laid back and I can imagine if you're someone who doesn't like going to the dentist, this would be a team that makes you feel at ease when you walk in.

This place makes you feel like family. Very professional, kind, and accommodating. Facility is always well kept and clean. Highly recommend.

They did an adjustment free, for a retainer that had bent wire. Very generous, while everyone else wanted to squeeze hundreds of $ for this.
I'll bet they get a lot of clients with this generosity, and recommend being one of them.

I have had great experiences with this office from day one. My daughter feels very at ease with the staff and Dr. Hedrick is not only kind and very professional but also skilled at his work. I would recommend this office to family and friends.

I had Dr. Hedrick as my Orthodontist for about 5 years. Throughout my treatment, I felt that Dr. Hedrick could not care less about the progress of my teeth. I would go in for my checkups and wire tightening about every 4 weeks and I would ask about my treatment plan. He was very dismissive and rather uninterested like he had better things to do. In my 5th year with him, I continued to see very little progress and ended my treatment with him. I will say I am a POC and I’m am not certain that played a role in my poor treatment, but I have sat back and observed him treat other POC patients in the office dismissively as well. If you’re looking for an orthodontist in the Santa Cruz area I would advise you save years of your life, and choose another, more professional orthodontist in our area.
