Burwood Cemetery

We went out today to put flowers for our dad and grandparents. Had a question about the flower cups in the ground so we ended up talking to Jeff. He was very helpful and also invited us to update our family contact info which we were glad to do, and he shared that we could add more urns to our grandparents double plot if we'd like to at some point. Very nice to deal with!

I showed up unannounced looking for my Grandfather's Grave-site based on a google search. It was 50 years ago that I was there for the funeral. The groundskeepers dropped everything, got in touch with the office, found it for me and led me there.

The cemetery is immaculately groomed and the staff unbelievable. Thank you so much for helping make a memory and bring back many fond memories.

Recently we barried my brother and everything went as smoothly as it could. R.I.P LITTLE BROTHER!

Peaceful place to visit family I never had the opportunity to meet.

They do not answer phone. They have a voice mail, but after leaving many messages over two weeks, I have not gotten a response. I also emailed them, no response. Maybe the manager is dead and buried here!

Update, after leaving this review, they finally contacted me and we got it all straighten out.

I'm a Fourth generation Escalonian and recently needed to open a grave in the family plot at Burwood cemetery.
No person answered or rang back even after repeated attempts. Including leaving messages. It took our funeral home to successfully reach an actual person. Other methods of connecting and conversing that regular folk don't have access to.
Needed a family viewing and couldn't have it at 9 because it was"a little too early" for them.
We are the grieving family and were made to accommodate them.
Our family was there from four different states as a family and three more for friend's that also made the journey.
Worst experience was needing a certificate of authenticity that no one else we dealt with had EVER heard of as a requirement of some kind.
Staff was unhelpful and lacking in compassion.
Greedy is the word I choose, finally able to talk after the checkbook was plainly visible.
A funeral service shouldn't leave living family members fuming.
Burwood cemetery has accomplished this perfectly.
I only went here because of the family plot.
I used to know the caretakers.
Now it's just business and greed is the way service is provided.
I cannot recommend this place. It was awful.

They Move things away that are around My Daughter's Headstone and don't put them back after the Lawn cuts for My 9 year Daughter that passed away suddenly in a car crash. Respect is requested.

I have been trying to reach the cemetery for two weeks and have left 7 messages. Another family member has also been trying to reach them. I have contacted the sheriffs department to do a welfare check as I can't imagine a business not responding to phone calls. The answering machine does not state they are closed.
