The Americana

I have been going to the Americana barbershop for several years. Ike and his have staff have practically become Family. Not only are they great at cutting hair and beards but they have a cool vibe and environment. Every time I go to get cleaned up the topic of the day is either about each other’s lives or current events. It’s where guys can be dudes. I definitely recommend this place for father‘s sons and grandchildren. This is a generational business that is unmatched by any other place.

Great place for haircuts. Love the themed stations and relaxed atmosphere. It's off of Oakdale Road behind the Gas Station. I recommend it highly

Americana is in a cool part of town, and it has a welcoming feel. It was clean and the staff were on point as soon as I walked in. There was little to no wait. I got a nice haircut from Andres the Barber. He listened to what I wanted and did a great job. 5/5 will come back on a regular basis.

I've had excellent results here. I highly recommend Jasmine. She does an excellent job, she's very precise and does a stellar job of trimming my beard and hair, she's an ace with a straight razor too. Jasmine paid close attention to how I wanted my beard shaped, I have a thick long beard and she nailed it!
I'm sure the rest of the staff is equally mindful and skilled as she is. I have watched other customers getting their hair trimmed and everyone walks out looking sharp. I would highly recommend anyone who needs a skilled Barber to endulge themselves at The Americana, you won't be disappointed.

Drove by and saw this new barber shop decided to give it a try! Went to ike or issac i can’t truly remember.. wow 5 star service for sure! Clear communication very easy to work with and did a great job! Fade looked great, beard looked great! Most definitely will be returning! 10/10

My friend came in to cut her long pony tail off and transition her hair over to a short cut and Trevor cut her hair. He is awesome 😎 He did a great job on the cut, made her hair look great! In addition to the great cut, he is great to talk to. Such a sweetheart. Great guy! Nice guy! Great conversation. Genuine person. The whole Atmosphere there in the shop is homey. Me and my son (9 y/o) who is a little anxious about going to new places went in for a haircut and definitely enjoyed the vibe and conversation. Trevor was awesome and my son came home saying he made a new friend! Thanks for great cut and an even better experience, I definitely recommend this spot!

Fantastic service provided by Anthony "Joker the barber" really an outstanding guy, veteran, and barber. I showed up with a mop of a head and he left me feeling sharp, and ready for my date! Thank you folks are the Americana!

Best haircut and experience I've had at a barber shop.
Went here for the first time to get a haircut for my wedding. Yasmin cut my hair and beard and did a fantastic job! Not only that, she helped me choose what I wanted for my hair when I wasn't sure and was patient when I was indecisive about the beard style. The other barbers also seemed very professional and skilled.

Atmosphere is nice and simple, not too loud or annoying and they kept things tidy. Highly recommend.

I will say that this review is a bit overdue... I live in Sacramento and drive all the way out to Modesto specifically to get a fresh cut here. I’ve been going out that way for well over a year now, and it’s 100% worth it. I never leave the shop not feeling like a new man. Not only do they do an excellent job cutting hair, but there’s just a ton of life and personality in the shop which is always something I look forward to when I come visit.

I loved the shop from as soon as we entered the place. My son loved the music and wanted to dance lol. The atmosphere was very positive and a place where we enjoyed being. Our barber Ike was very welcoming gave my son red vine licorice, and did an amazing job ony son's hair while talking with him working with him and praising him for doing a great job he's two. I'll definitely be going back.

I’ve been going here for the past 3 months now and I have to say that I have really enjoyed my cuts here. I went to two other places prior to this one since I moved to Modesto, and this one for the price and quality is far and away the best I’ve experienced. For those of you complaining about the wait times, some of, if not all the barbers, have an app that one can access to schedule appointments. Personally, I’ve had Danielle for all three of my cuts and she’s been excellent!

Love this shop. The work they do is great. Nice atmosphere and the friendly staff. Went in today with a picture and asked if they could give me that cut and Jess got it handled. I love that it's a small local business. I heard today that they are expanding, which should help cut down the wait times. But I'll never go back to a chain haircut place again. The hot shaves are excellent, so relaxing.

Ike has always done an amazing job on my 2 year old son!! He also has the patience of a saint as my little one has not always fully cooperated. Very affordable & never a long wait either. Great place to go to get a hair cut and visit with everyone in the shop as well.

Glad I found this place. I liked the vibe, haircut and beard service. I had to wait a long bit because Saturday is first come first served. Their play list is same as mine. Didn’t hear any Elvis P. like the other reviewer noted; I don’t mind Elvis, but he’s not on my play list. Ike had me. I’ve been going to another place for a long while, but they cancelled my appointment and I had to scramble.

Great atmosphere and some really cool people. Jennifer trimmed my goatee and got me squared away. I will be back monthly.

The Americana is by far the best barber shop in Modesto I've been to. Their barbers always meet and surpass my expectations no matter what hair style i request. My wife who is ultimately the person i look to for her approval, agrees that they do a great job in terms of cutting hair. Before I started goimg to their shop, i was very disappointed with the other options in the Valley area, thanks to the Americana, not any more!

Great service, clean place, great music, free drinks while you wait. The two owners are awesome, down to earth guys. Got my hair cut and my beard trimmed at a super reasonable price and it turned out great! If you're not getting your haircut here, you're missing out!

This place is always awesome! I got my beard shaped by Morrio today and let's just say that I can add him to the select few that I can trust with my beard. This place remains busy at all times because they are all OG's when it comes to being barbers. I recommend this place to everyone that I talk to or anyone reading this place.
