The store is like a Raley's vibe, I guess.

The deli is all I really care about there. I don't care about the employees attitudes and stuff lol.

I just want that delicious sandwich.

Not everyone can say that wonky or weirdo service gets my money. BUT in the case of this stores local legacy and whatnot, I'm willing to overlook the employee and service issues.

I mean look at the sandwich? $13

This is a smaller grocery store than others in modesto, but it makes it helpful as you will easily be able to find what you're looking for. I'm never disappointed with anything I get here, and it is always affordable. The workers are always kind and helpful.

O'Brien's is a family type store. With top of the line produce of a large variety for a med. Sized store ,great products, very friendly.

I love O'Brien's for a few reasons. It's a smaller grocery store which makes it easy for someone with anxiety to shop in without feeling overwhelmed. They have great prices even for being a smaller store, I would say better prices than Safeway for sure. Their cashiers and other staff are kind and helpful. I wish they had more pre-packaged beef and chicken options to choose from sometimes, but their meat department has good cuts and friendly staff so it's not too bad. I also wish they carried Kerrygold butter 😅

The employees here are great. Always quick with a smile, and ready to answer questions or help find something. The produce aisle looks like a farmers market, it's all so clean and fresh!

Great place to shop, the pastry products are fresh their coffee it's good and only a dollar. A single pastry is a dollar fifty you can't beat that price anywhere.

I ordered a full sheet cake for my husband's 50th birthday. I had my own decorations and I asked them to give me a blank canvas of white and they did a beautiful job. The cake was delicious. Very moist and the filling was very proportionate to the cake layers. The customer service at the bakery is exceptional. Always friendly and helpful. Best customer service in the entire store. Thank you!

Sweet place. Fresh produce. Great location. Clean. They allow you their restroom. Nice staff. A bit pricey but have a great variety of items. I can pay my electric bill a the kiosk there which is great. There is a nice atmosphere for family shopping. Very clam with a trail nearby and a Starbucks.

I love this little market! For being smaller than the average supermarket, they manage to always have a large selections of items and brands. Their bakery goods are amazing and their old school meat counter gives you the freshest choices. The store is always clean and tidy and the employees are super helpful and friendly!! In a quick pace, impersonal world, this market reminds you of the importance of personal interaction. And...if I need say more, there is a Starbucks inside with some of the best baristas! Every drink I've ever ordered from here has been perfect! Help support this little gem...its definitely a reminder that Modesto still has some old school charm!!

Amazing service. No line, checkers and crew very friendly and helpful. Sadly, Starbucks inside wasn't open...I look forward to the tea there....but refuse to go through stand alone Starbuck store drive thru or inside stand alone stores....but it was 8pm and tea wasn't a priority anyway, I was there for grocery produce. I was happy to discover that they upgraded their refrigeration aisle. Very nice improvement. More energy efficient and it makes other shoppers wait for me to make my decision in that section. I like that most from my visit. Once again, they get my business. (To say all of this and disclose I work for a very well known employee owned grocery company on the west coast is a lot) I appreciate you. Sometimes, it is not as easy going to a very busy store for a few things. Respectfully, of all the other competition-produce and meat is very comparable to my career position.

My favorite store since I was a kid. Have had many friends work here and worked with the family for years in other capacities. Great family owned store, with a quaint small town vibe still present at this store. Great selection and a great quiet location, surrounded by other great family owned businesses.

I really like this store. They have a really good, helpful, considerate staff who actually seem to enjoy their jobs. They have quality goods- From health and beauty products to groceries. And their deli makes very, very good sandwiches! I come here often just to get a fresh deli sandwich and they even have tables where you can enjoy your food, if you choose to. In a world where big corporations are moving in and there seems to be a diminishing value on the good, old fashioned, local, hometown sort of quality neighborhood grocery store, O'Brien's still retains those qualities and more.

The gluten free frozen pizza options are amazing. Just cause we can't eat gluten, doesn't mean we don't want junk food! Also try the gluten free flax cake! It's amazing!

We enjoy biking here for a quick shopping trip. They have a great butcher shop inside the store. The selection of specialty beers could be better, but we always find something we like. My mother really enjoyed her birthday cakes we got here.

Went there to put voting ballot in collection box. To my surprise it was so organized, I decided to pick up a few things. It's too far out of my way to be a regular shopping place, but if it wasn't, it would be my only place.
