Amerigroup Corporation

Amerigroup with behavioral health assistance has been wonderful for my family member. I think we were assigned a case manager- because the same person has been very supportive. Communication via email and weekly check-ins have been helping us navigate finding new providers that take WA Apple Health and Medicaid. Not an easy task. But when there is no other option, at least these folks are able to help.

So few physicians and specialists cover this plan. Good luck finding a dermatologist. Switching ASAP.

I spent all day looking for a Doctor to no avail. Wrong numbers on provider lists. When I call the Doctors office they say they are contracted and then Amerigroup tells me they are not, sometimes it’s because it’s a different address Amerigroup tells me, so that disqualifies them because the address is different. Long story short their list isn’t up to date. So they have you running around like a chicken with your head cut off. One Doctor said she doesn’t see male patients after Amerigroup assigned her to me, after they said they spoke to them, while they keep you on hold forever!! We were cut off our calls multiple times and the customer service representative doesn’t call us back so you have to start all over going through the prompts and entering your information OVER and OVER on the phone trying to get a live person to help you only to get disconnected again and again. The first doctor they assigned me was a pediatrician, what a joke I’m an adult!! Most of their Doctors are not board certified to boot. This is the most insane insurance company I’ve ever worked with. I am so stressed out over today and I don’t have an assigned Doctor yet!! They are SUPPOSED to help me Monday. Let’s see I will update you again. They deserve no stars.

I dont want to do your stupid survey. So don't call or email and don't send it to my house my mom's house my dads house or work. I don't have to give you my opinions. Or allow you to use my kiddos info for your insignificant study group. They don't do anything but waste money and time. Nothing we say or want to have changed, ever gets done. Ya'll should put that effort in to taking care of all the good Doctors nurses and specialists that you do have and get rid of the idiots that call me at all hours of the night asking me about your P.O.S survey.

Can't believe this is the only place I have to go because all I can afford is state insurance. What an actual joke they denied an appeal after asking for physical evidence needing it and sent it to a pharmacist to approve it. Even when the pharmacist approved it they denied it again

They don't consider being able to do basic functions of life to be medically necessary so they don't cover any care that would allow you to do those things.

Coverage is a joke. Don’t bother jumping through hoops to appeal anything reasonable, they don’t care. We are switching to someone else.

I've been trying to change pcp providers and it never works. I tried customer service and they are incompetent. SWITCH PROVIDERS TO MOLINA.

Wont let me pay for my evergreen appointment with my own insurance cause it’s not covered but also won’t let me pay self pay because I already have insurance. Total insanity, our health care system is broken

Please update your find a doctor list.. none of the dermatologists that you list on there accept your insurance or are not accepting patients. Thanks for wasting an hour of my day btw! Does any dermatologist accept Amerigroup for adults?!?!?

they pay for glasses...........i switch from united to amerigroup once every 48 months for 30 days then switch back to a reputable ins company like united

What a joke this place is. Horrible place to sign in for coverage. Unfortunately they assign this to people and nothing we can do!

If I could give this insurance company a no star rating I would. Smh at them lowsy and lazy
