Always great! I used to live in Boise and this was probably my favorite shop to work at. I would call them a coffee curator, meaning they don’t roast their own coffee or use one roaster’s beans. They look for the best roasters around the country (and some outside the country as well!) and have many great options in stock to purchase and several different options at a time to try. Great coffee, great atmosphere, great location.

I really enjoy this coffee shop when I’m in town. They have an excellent latte with their “old fashioned” flavoring. I also got the apple fritter the last time I was there, and wow! Definitely visit if you are in the area, and you won’t be disappointed!

Felt an immediate sense of calmness upon entering this coffee shop. Not only was my cappuccino delicious and made just right, but my amandine (almond croissant) was fresh even at the end of the day. The service was attentive and kind.

This coffee shop is perfection, and it would be my second home if I lived in the area.

There is even a little free library about a block away where I picked up a book to read while I enjoyed my capp.

This is the kind of premium specialty coffee that you must enjoy seated at a table with people you care about. Carefully prepared and beautifully presented. A coffee experience that you might think about as you are falling asleep at night. I can't wait until morning.

Great selection of beans, including an exciting line of Appolon’s Gold roaster from Japan. Great espresso drinks and a nice selection of the filter coffees served. Knowledgeable and polite baristas.

Slow by slow is by far my favourite coffee bar in Boise. Yes there are other places which serve good coffee as well, but this one just felt like a second home to me. The venue is nice and there is also some art on show. The coffee, simply great and it comes with beautiful latte art. Also a great selection of coffee beans from around the world. And the people who work there, make all the difference. They are super nice and make everyone feel welcome! They always serve their coffees with a smile and are always in for a chat when it s not too busy. Spend 3 months in Boise and just loved this place, miss it already. Thanks slow by slow team for making my time in Boise even nicer. All the best to you all!

First experience Slow by Slow by this morning and it was perfect. I had a cappuccino…amazing! Snacked on a unique pastry’s & croissants. Atmosphere was comfortable & relaxing. Communal tables added a good vibe. Good place to hangout & have good conversation. Definitely will go to again. Highly recommend.

Opens early and provides a great macchiato! Sat outside and enjoyed the birds, squirrels and folks walking their dogs. Hubby had a mocha with beautiful artwork.

Great drip coffee - expressive and bright. Cold brew was squeaky clean. Haven't tried espresso drinks yet, but will be sure to in the future!

I needed a t-shirt but they were sold out at the time.

One of the best pourovers and espresso drinks I've ever had, and I go to a lot of specialty coffee shops. The mango notes in my coffee might be better categorized as simply mango flavors. Watching the baristas recalibrate their equipment mid-shift to get the best flavor possible shows the commitment Slow by Slow has to good coffee.

This is my new go-to place. I’ve loved every drink I’ve had so far (both teas and coffees), especially the coffee drinks with their various syrups and garnishes. Even the glassware is fun and sturdy. It’s a small, yet roomy place and I appreciate every time the barista brings my drink up the stairs to me. The pastries can be on the chewier side but I don’t mind as I understand their focus. Additionally, whoever plays the music there must have hacked my Spotify account because the tunes are always on point. 👍🏾

Welcoming, kind, creative and delicious. Is located in the heart of downtown, just a short walk away from the Boise Greenbelt, Boise Public Library and more! A great space for a first date or working from your laptop. Smiles all around.

Rogue rose so good! Chocolate croissant amazing! Matcha latte was soooo good!
The regular croissant was too big and not as fresh as could be.

My first time going here. I am newer to coffee, the barista helped me out by asking what I liked. I told him I like rich dark flavors with a fruity undertone, and he smiled and knew immediately what I needed. A pour over, and let me tell you, the drink was phenomenal. The environment I would say is a modern and brick lay theme. Very cozy but also very open. Will be back again! 😊

Slow by slow is one of my favorite coffee shops here! Some of the most scrumptious and creative cups of coffee I’ve had!
However ever since I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, I would really appreciate it if they had at least one sugar free option so I can order more than just a pour over!
Here is a picture of a delish latte that I had there (back when I could order yummy sweet drinks😂)!

Great coffee. Highly recommend the Heart Roasters Stereo espresso. The wife and I love a spot that you can sit down and have a drink in a real mug.

I love Slow by Slow. They have everything that I look for in a coffee shop: good atmosphere, great coffee, and friendly staff. They have really nice minimalist decor and furniture, with none of the surfaces being taken up by kitschy knick knacks like some cafes like to do.
They have a lovely rotating selection of beans, some of which are roasted locally, and often carry beans that you can purchase for home use that are also locally roasted. They’re very knowledgeable about the process, so if you’re ever worried about whether or not you might like something don’t be afraid to ask! Their always happy to help you find a drink you’ll love.
They also have nice locally baked treats available, though I have to admit I don’t generally get them myself.
Some other perks: free WiFi, numerous outlets, community seating or more individual tables/chairs, and the music is never overly loud or inappropriate, so it’s great for families.
Give these guys a try! Always in my top favorites in Boise.

This has been, by far, the best coffee I've found in Boise. Nate and Connor are super friendly and make you feel like you just walked into a friend's house (if your friends knew how to make a 🔥cappuccino).
