So many choices!! If you are looking for a gift for someone or some snacks for yourself, this is a great place to support local and get something yummy.

We've always loved this downtown classic, but they went above and beyond today to help me get gifts packaged and shipped for clients in time for Christmas. Everything we've ever tried is delicious, but I'll go back for the Thai Chili Peanuts every single time. :)

I can’t recommend this place enough. The best nuts! I can confidently say the maple bacon cashews are the best vegan bacon snack EVER! I became addicted to these when I lived in Boise to the point where I’ve had to order a massive amount to Florida so I won’t have to live without them (so worth it 😂)
They are great to work with and the quality can’t be beaten. I ordered these on a Saturday morning and somehow they got to Florida 2 days later! WOW! I’m so thrilled and so impressed! The customer service and product are out of this world, and I will definitely be a lifelong customer!

My husband and I receive a gift box from here every Christmas from his aunt and uncle. And I can’t rave enough about the honey roasted peanut butter, my daughter and I love it especially on some honey crisp apples! Will definitely be ordering some more jars of the peanut butter and the maple bacon cashews are out of this world too!

I'm nuts for these nuts! I feel like Jim Carrey from the hit movie The Mask when I walk into this store because I have to yell "somebody stop me... from buying all of these delicious varieties of nuts, and popcorn, and great novelty items such as a bottle opener made out of a bike chain". And when they ring me up I always say "sssssmokin'", but I feel like that's just because I like the movie The Mask starring comedic legend Jim Carrey, and not because classic lines from that movie align with whatever I'm doing in the peanut shop itself. Either way, watch The Mask then go to this store and buy gourmet nuts and popcorn and go home and watch The Mask again, and again, and again. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got to fire up my VHS and get my mask on and eat nuts.

Not a whole lot to say about City Peanut that hasn't been espoused already; but just thought I should say how happy I am that they have been able to take such a niche business idea and keep the doors open.

We buy the spicy/sweet pecans and the sambal cashes almost every time we have a party or make a large charcuterie board.

Customer service is always top notch and the selection is fresh and tastes great. We also try to purchase directly from the shop to cut out on middleman price increases at grocery/specialty shops. One of my favorite places to stroll into anytime I am near 8th street, and I almost always leave with a lighter wallet.

Very friendly staff open to teach all about the nuts and flavors. I'm sitting in Cali with my souvienor and enjoying every bite. Highly recommend you check out this shop! Definitely try a paring of beer and nuts. They do a good job!

They have so many awesome products here. We were like kids in a candy store. The employees were friendly and helpful and offered us samples of everything. We happened on to this place because we were doing a tour of local breweries and we noticed some ghost pepper peanuts and we had to go find this place. It was so awesome and I am so glad that we just happened to stumble upon them.

City Peanut Shop is the perfect personification of Boise's heart and soul. I can't say enough good things about this amazing local spot. Dan the owner is one of the most genuine. kind, enthusiastic, and caring people I've ever met. His shop holds a mouth-watering selection of nuts, candies, popcorn, beers, wines, and ciders along with some awesome Boise inspired goods like cups with etched maps of downtown Boise, pint glasses with bikes and beer on them, and his easily recognizable Peace Idaho t-shirts.
If you've never been to City Peanut do yourself a favor and head in! It's welcoming (and always smells AMAZING) and full of fun.

This is my favorite shop downtown, and a favorite place to bring visitors. The stay are always helpful and more than willing to provide samples, and the candies, sauces, and gifts available are nearly as great and unique as their selection of truly gourmet nuts. I cannot resist buying a bag whenever I pass the store, or come across them in a brewery. They are ideal snacks for beer,ice cream toppings, salad garnishes, among many other settings.

Saw a stand for the City Peanut Shop at the Saturday Market (set up on corner of 8th and Bannock) handing out yummy samples of their Honey Peanut Butter. Soooo good! Staff is great, friendly, answers questions and passionate about their brand. Highly recommend this PB and can't wait to stop in to visit their little shop! I paid $7 for 16.8oz container, but worth it's weight in gold for deliciousness 🐝. The MAGIC is in their small batch production. This honey specifically I can say is a little crunchy with a great honey flavor but not overwhelmingly sweet and syrupy. It's thick and has a great bite with a little salt, it's truly fabulous!

I love this place. We bring all our out of town visitors here when we come downtown. They have some amazing and delicious peanut flavors that you have never even considered combining. They have samples of most everything to try before you have to commit.

I Ordered the reaper nuts. As a fan of extreme heat, I was not dissapointed! You can tell that care was put into making these. As far as heat goes they have a tasty good amount.

I wish they were in my city and will for sure be a returning customer. Keep up the good work!

This is my.favorite store.in downtown Boise. A lot of standard and innovative choices. I highly recommend the pickled cucumber popcorn! Literally the best popcorn I've ever had. I know it's a peanut shop, but it is what it is.

Great little find in downtown Boise. Perfect place to pick up a relatively healthy snack or gift to take home. Owner is super friendly and all staff were very helpful in making choices, answering questions, etc. Definitely worth a visit!

This is a fun place. It's hard for me to spend lots of money on nuts, but they have some amazing flavors here. I had the bacon flavored nuts which were great. Just be careful about getting the spicy ones.

This special shop has the tastiest nutty treats that I have ever found. Their choices are fantastic and too numerous to mention - from Maple Bacon Cashews, to Ghost Pepper Peanuts, to Brown Sugar Hazelnuts to dozens of even more delectable nutty treats, to several forms of fresh brittles, to delicious and unique chocolates, to excellent and knowledgeable recommendations for how to use them with the finest to the most fun meals. This little place has fun and unique and scrumptious additions to every diet from vegan, to Mediterranean, to South Beach, to Paleo, to Steak and Beer, imho.

Although parking can be limited, this place just seems to ooze happiness and a nutty and funny approach to enjoying a gourmet approach to life. The owner also has a simple yet very enjoyable approach to some of the finer aspects of life around Boise, and has an obvious love of his craft.

I cannot recommend this tiny establishment highly enough, imho. As a visitor from Phoenix, I would welcome a branch of the business in my neck of the woods. I plan to order from Boise, until then. Big smile right here!

Loved this place! Peeked in the window after closing and started walking away and a nice lady yelled after me and asked if I wanted to come in. Very nice of them! Such a variety of flavors! A must see
