Had a lovely time visiting this spot. No trouble getting a reservation- I'm surprised it wasn't busier! Food was excellent, we were really surprised by the flavor combos - very well thought out and perfectly seasoned. Service was also really good - they paid attention to little things like clearing plates and silverware between appetizer and entrees. They even included a special treat for my partner's bday! We'll definitely be back.

I booked a table for two and a Dry January experience at Rasai Indian.

Right after entering the restaurant, I had one and only surprise for the night. The restaurant was smaller than I had anticipated and hence had no bar counter. My expectation for the Dry January "experience" was to be ordering drinks at the bar and the tender making these delicious drinks in front of me giving me the experience. Not a huge deal breaker though.

Taste wise, the Dry January drinks were great. My wife and I both loved the taste of 4 out of 5 drinks presented. We loved the taste of the food. In my experience, you rarely find such delicious Indian food at a restaurant in the Greater Seattle area. And the impressive thing is that they didn't have to use a lot of spices and masalas to make their food taste authentic or tasty. Dishes just had the taste from their ingredients which is a rare find nowadays.

Presentation wise, we loved the cutesy presentation of everything. The attendants were very respectful and attentive. The food was presented in an aesthetic manner and the drinks were all photogenic.

Along with the food, we also loved the portion. The size of each dish was in such a way that with one / two starters, one small plate and one main dish, you can have two people's belly be full. Of course this includes the 5 Dry January drinks. So if you're not doing that, maybe include one more small plate or one more main course dish.

Absolutely phenomenal dinner at Rasai. Food felt familiar but still inventive. Not a bad dish - and we ate A LOT. The standout though were the NA drink options (for dry January, but I hope they hang around). I went for a flight of 5 different beverages, each more interesting than the last.

A standout among the few Indian fine-dine options in the area. Every dish was perfectly cooked, and I appreciated the balanced flavors. Suresh, our server, took great care of us. The Rabdi Tiramisu pastry was incredible, the Heirloom Korma was nice, and the Chili Cheese Naan was a hit. A solid choice for a refined Indian dining experience!

We went as a group to try Rasai in Seattle. We were a fairly large group and ordered a variety of dishes. Rasai presents itself as an Indian fine dining and it does impress with its fare. We started off with 3 apps: the pani puri flight, duck tacos and the malai chicken kebabs. Out of all three we enjoyed the duck tacos the most! It was very flavorful and innovative. They described it as a combination of Cuban and Indian flavors. They used dosa’s in place of tortillas and made an excellent fusion. For our main course we ordered their goat biriyani, goat curry, shahi matar paneer, katsu ctm, chicken supreme and their bread samplers. Everything was impressive. Be advised that their portions are slightly on the smaller side so we ordered multiples of certain dishes to make sure we had enough to go around. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience and something I’m glad my dad pushed us to go to. It is slightly on the expensive side but the food and service very much make up for it. My only concern was that certain dishes did not come out warm enough - like the kebabs, which I attribute to the fact that they prescribe a certain value to how their dishes are presented.

Kinda pricey but definitely worth it. Their cocktail menu is one of a kind (and very tasty). The food was delicious, and the service was incredible. We were too full for dessert, though their dessert menu also looked great. Would recommend!

Great food, service, and atmosphere. The patio is nice too on a sunny day. The servers are so friendly! Love the cocktails too. The bao buns and tempura prawns are two of my favorite things to order. Love the raspberry almond cake too!

Food far surpassed expectations given the ratings. I believe there was a management or chef change recently. Everything was presented in an innovative and elegant way teetering on fine dining. Cocktails were amazing. Attentive service, nothing special but you could tell they cared. Finally the prices were very reasonable, you could get away with just $20-30 mains and be fulfilled.

Make sure you know what you are getting into, this is fine dining, expensive and small portion, you are here for the experience. The cuisine is “modern style” fusion Indian food, pretty far from regular Indian food (my Indian friend and I basically just asked the waiter to describe what each dish is because we couldn’t understand the menu).

Each dish is very well made, well presented, and showed me unique combination of flavors. We ordered appetizers, main, and desert. I was satisfied on all three. You will experience absurd but interesting modern cuisine items here, such as lamb that comes with a waft of wood smoke or a bubble foam of light flavors on top of the rockfish appetizer.

Given the staff mentioned that the menu rotates every now and then, I’d say this is a restaurant that can be revisited.

Pleasantly surprised with the menu. We had the 7 course meal for dinner.
Food presentation was pretty.

We enjoyed all the flavours, they were actually paired so well and you could tell the chef took the time to plan. I wasn’t that big of a fan of the tuna ceviche as I thought the taste of it was overtaken by the lassi(yogurt) but it was definitely different.

I would recommend this spot for a date night and someone that is looking for a unique food experience and good food. The was was amazing and it was a great night. Worth the price

Had a great dinner at Rasai last night. Loved the wine options available, and the staff were very friendly in taking us through menu options due to a nut allergy at the table. A few in our group identify as picky eaters and were a little worried about the menu being different to what they were used to, but everyone ended up really enjoying what they ordered. I had the goat biryani and it was delicious. I also tried some of my friend's lamb, which was very nice as well. It's a little pricy but I enjoyed our night out and think it would be a great place for anyone looking for a nicer-than-usual dinner out.

Everything about this place is 5 stars. Service was attentive, food was perfectly prepared and full of wonderful flavor. The drink menu is also impressive in the adventure of flavors. The tiramisu is worth a return trip!

Beautiful presentation, tasty food but a little pricey. The restaurant is nicely decorated and maintained very well inside.

The location is not the best and it is hard to believe what your experience will be until you go in and try them out.

The appetizers were very tasty and we tried the Shikanji drink with them. The rim was coated with a special spice that made it really great!

We tried the jackfruit steamed buns, dahi poori and chipotle paneer for appetizers.

For the mains, we went for the Fig kofta, black dal and the pheasant lababdar along with the bread sampler.

Dessert was the pistachio brownie.

Everything was amazing except for the pheasant that we confused for chicken (could not appreciate).

Beautifully presented high-end Indian food. Each dish was gorgeous; look at the photos! Nice level of spice in everything. I had the cauliflower appetizer and the chicken. Both were amazing. We ate in their outdoor dining space. It was nicely heated and protected from the breeze. Def not cheap but worth it for a unique meal!

Also kudos to them for actually verifying vaccination status before seating us.

Me and my friends tried Rasai breakfast and it turned out to be nice. The food was well presented and atmosphere was nice. The service was good. We ordered various dish to try and were amazed by the taste. It is definitely a fine dine restaurant. Mal pua was our favorite although it had mold oil taste. Chole-kulcha, Dosa waffle were also nice. Overall Decent option for Indian breakfast.

Rasai is a very cozy restaurant and with a quaint entrance and we loved it the moment we entered. What I like the most is their limited menu which is the beat considering we do not have to pour over pages debating what to eat so it was simple. All the food has a contemporary twist which was very interesting. Their Dahi puri was the best- I popped one it was delish. We enjoyed their cauliflower ghee roast, the grilled shrimp was amazing and another star of the evening was the jackfruit bao. The flavors bursted in my mouth. My friends had beers with their meal and also tried a couple of cocktails. The entree was a little dampening for me because I ordered the sea bass dish and the fish wasn’t done well( I should have insisted but it didn’t occur to me an Indian fish can be undone so I will be mindful to inform that proactively the next time ) , my friends enjoyed the lamb biriyani and the pheasant dish. We loved the presentation and the swift service completely. We will definitely return soon

The food was amazing and service is on point. They truly care about the experience. All the food was plated beautifully and seasoned to perfection! Thanks! Also, the low ratings on here are absurd. It is obviously Indian fusion (says so if you look it up before you go). If you want "authentic Indian it may be a miss for you. It is a great spot and I definitely will be back.
