Heart is one of my favorite grocery stores. They have everything you need, especially when it comes to Asian ingredients that you can find at regular American shops. Customer service is always friendly. This shop usually busy

All the best ingredients. A vast Asian market with all the good finds. Frozen foods, dried foods, fresh seafood, hot take out. This place has it all. Great for small snacks or all the staples. Asian + American products. Ample parking, even on busy days, speedy lines.

This store is huge! It is the Korean grocery heaven! Filled with different banchan and Korean dishes. I wanna try them all! There's a small Food area also with Korean restaurants selling authentic Korean dishes.

Huge Korean-oriented store.

H-Mart is comparable to Target if Target had bigger grocery areas. When you enter the store, you'll see a food court. There isn't much seating, but enough. If you go into the store area, there's a wide variety of food, including live seafood, cut fruit, and prepackaged foods. They also have kitchen equipment, sheet masks, and prepared dishes wrapped in plastic. The prices are very reasonable, although a bit higher than other markets and stores in San Francisco. However, everything is right here, so you could justify it as paying for convenience.

This is a great place to at least check out once. It's tucked into a quiet neighborhood and there's parking outside.

Fascinating Korean market.
Lots of speciality items to see.
My favorite is the section where you can pickup Korean side dishes to bring home.
They even have pre-marinated meats you can bring home to cook.

Insider secret: They have a section where you can take home freshly made sashimi.

You read that right, you can get items to assemble your own sushi dinner at home. Salmon, hamachi, blue fin, mackrel, and unagi.

Awesome Asian grocery store with an absolutely massive selection of produce, meat, seafood - fresh and frozen. Definitely the best managed, cleanest and most organized Asian grocery store I’ve been to in the Bay Area - definitely going back soon. Definitely seems pretty cramped when there are lots of people there - the carts are too big for the aisles when there are many people and many traffic jams occur - would just advise going in off hours.

We love this Korean Market... It has great quality and wide selection of fresh produce, meat and seafood. The seafood is so fresh that it's alive. It's pretty new and kept very clean, so it's a very pleasant shopping experience as everything is organized and neat. The price is also very reasonable too. Best of all, they also have a food hall with authentic and delicious Korean food and a bakery. This is going to be our default grocery shopping destination.

Yes it's a brand new mart so it's cleaner and probably more impressive than usual.
Still, I've never seen this diverse selection of unfrozen meats and seafoods in any other markets not just Korean (or Asian) ones around here. Oh, fruits and vegetables are the same. So many kinds.

We will see how it will look once opening day hype is settled in months, but it looks really promising.

I was so blessed to find this store open on Christmas Day. the store was extremely clean and the staff was Very helpful. In my experience, if the grocery store keeps the floor clean. That means everything else is fresh and in good order. very nice shopping experience.

It's a new korean supermarket, big and complete with couple of fast food stalls. There are a long line before you can get into the store. Some of the merchandices have a special discount like rice, meats. There is a long line to the cashier, but you get gift if you show the receipt outside.

H Mart is one of the only grocery stores in the bay area to properly have Asian groceries in order to make Asian American dishes, however, they have incredibly stocked isles which could make it less wheelchair accessible and it becomes very crowded on weekends. Some of the products are priced much higher than I would see at other grocery stores but for the specialty items it’s worth it. My favorite part of the location is that they also have a food court to get some great dishes like Korean corn dogs

A Disneyland adventure into Asian foods, specifically Korean. Every aisle provides thrills on new finds and old favorites. The selection is tremendous.

The produce and fruit sections are a riot of color, variety and freshness.

The meat section is a carnivore's dream. Cuts of all varieties, and typical Asian cuts that are rare to find elsewhere. Variety of marinated meats ready for grilling.
Live seafood section, like being in an aquarium!

Huge banchan section and selections. All types of appetizers/snacks to choose from, savory, spicy, nutty, seafood, vegan, sweet. Just a few items will provide you with banchan treats for days!

Reasonably priced, easy to get to location in San Francisco, too bad it's a long commute for me, but totally worth the trip.

We got there at 8am opening to find a long line if about 50 parties ahead of us. Doors opened 7 minutes late and first group allowed inside. Waited about 30 minutes in line before entering. There were still parking spaces in parking lot, but we opted for the parking garage, which was empty.

Despite having to wait in line to enter, next time I'll arrive closer to 10 am when more of the perishable, fresh-made items are stocked. The banchan items were being stocked around this time.

Fantastic market with a lots of stuff that you can’t find anywhere. Such as Chinese white wines, Asian sauces… if you do bbq, this place would be a must-come: the Korean style meats, marinated or plain; or fresh or even live seafood, fish…
Recommend a visit if you close by.

Went early Sunday morning so place was not too busy yet. Found what we needed quickly, and then picked up other snack and lunch items. Try the kimchee, so many choices, we love the cucumber kimchee. We managed to get lunch items just put out, fried gyoza, meat dumplings, seaweed salad, and a lunch box.

This is large Asian supermarket. Even though it is advertised as Korean supermarket, it carries many other Asian items as well. Vegetables are very fresh & all pack in individual packaging for grab & go. The plus is the BBQ & hotpot department with many varieties of meats already marinaded & plates of hotpot meats & vegetables. Seafood department is very clean with little station for daily fresh sashimi. More sections of frozen meals & microwavable & ready to eat (buns/gyoza/etc.) breakfast/lunch/dinner. Because it is grand opening, there are many great discount produces. Big box of Shin Ramen for $7.99. Box of 20 mangos for $8.99. This market has another section at the right side of entrance with dining areas & pastry. On site parking lot is available only if come early before 10:00 AM. After 10:00 AM, it's hard to find parking as many people come to shop during the grand opening for discount. Customer service is plus. Definitely see myself come back for shopping hotpot & bbq night.

HMart stores has been around the United States for a while and other bay area cities so when they finally opened up a store in SF, I think people were excited. Prior to them being at this alemany st location, there was a mess of a depressing Chinese supermarket that didn't want to spend money on renovations after they took over from Lucky's Supermarket that used to be there. HMart did the full renovations so the store looks great, plus they have Korean food stalls to the side of the store with a seating area that seems to always be filled with customers. There's a Korean bakery (Paris Baguette ) too where one can get hot or cold coffee, but probably skip the pricey pastries. HMart's prices are competitive but when things go on sale that's the time to stock up if you shop there often. There's always another Korean supermarket called KukJe about a mile or two away that's been there for ages and probably lost half their customers to Hmart.

The epitome of Asian grocery markets here. Huge selection of seafood fresh and frozen. Plenty of dried kelp and seaweeds. Nice looking veggies for a fair price and especially the mushrooms! Lots of pre-prepared entrees and sides in plastic single-use containers... Boo for the environment but convenient for those who don't give a damn. There was a huge line at checkout but it moved incredibly fast. Nearly all the lanes had a cashier.
