I ordered custom cookies for my daughter’s baptism and the cookies turned out EXACTLY like the photos I sent them. They were so beautiful and also tasted great too. I highly recommend and will be ordering from them in the future again.
Side note: They also offer to bag the cookies but in this case I chose to do it myself.

BEST CAKE EVER!!! we ordered a Peanut Butter cake for my spouse’s graduation from a military training and it was absolutely incredible. Everyone kept complimenting it, a huge hit! I’m not even that much of a cake person but I kept coming back for more, one of the best cakes I’ve ever had. It was beautifully decorated and picking it up day of was very easy. I would definitely recommend Pursuit of Pastry for any of your baking needs, you will be SO GLAD you did!!

Needed a simple but elegant cake to commemorate my parents 60th wedding anniversary and Courtney at Pursuit of Pastry did an excellent job! Cake was delicious, beautiful, and perfectly sized. The shop is stocked with treats and party stuff too. Really great communication and product. Highly recommend!!

Love this bakery and so glad it's on Old Saybrook! We stop by frequently to pick up pastries for our AirBnB guests and they are always packaged in a lovely box. Recently purchased the carrot cake for my Dad's bday and the guests raved about! More gluten free offerings would be a great addition!

Bakeries like The Pursuit of Pastry almost seem like relics from generations past. And today we are left with fewer and fewer bakeries that have been replaced by processed bake goods found at the supermarkets. But, fear not, there are a couple of gems left and Pursuit of Pastry is one of them. We have purchased birthday cakes from this bakery over the years which have always been fresh and delicious. The other day was a quick visit to treat my son to sweet goodness which was a cinnamon roll while I got the peanut butter whoopie pie - both delicious! Highly recommend this gem of a bakery.

YUM! Peanutbutter bars, brownie bars and 7 layer bars are amazing portion controlled yummies.

I’ve now ordered for 2 business events and again for Thanksgiving from here (not to mention some trips in between). My customers were blown away by the attention to detail on the sugar cookies for both events and we have not had a single item as a family we wouldn’t recommend (a few favorites- morning glory muffin, cinnamon sugar donut, pumpkin cheesecake). Amazing service, amazing desserts!

After tasting the cake at one of my friend’s weddings, I knew I was going to be reaching out to them for my own wedding. After reaching out for additional information, I was connected with Courtney who was so flexible with all of my questions and concerns for the cake. She offered to provide a list of flavors to sample and offered to create a combination of flavors for the different tiers. The cake was so delicious an I’m glad I ordered extra for a second helping after the night was over! I could not recommend the Pursuit of Pastry enough!

Taste as good as they look! Amazing customer service and they really understood the assignment. Cake toppers were DIY only because we wanted to decorate them ourselves. More than happy with our order and will be ordering from here again. THANK YOU!

Order a cake and cookies for a baby shower. They were very responsible in the ordering and customizing a design and the treats were a hit. The strawberry cake is a must!

Pursuit of Pastry is AMAZING! This is my go to bakery, not just for last minute sweet tooth fixes, but for planned ones! I have custom ordered cookies and cakes on multiple special occasions and they are always beautiful and delicious. My absolute favorite are their custom iced sugar cookies! We have had these made for baby shower, bridal showers, weddings, birthdays, and more, and, no matter what we ask of them design wise, they always come out absolutely perfect and we get so many compliments on them at the event!

Baked goods are 10/10 here! Absolutely love the selection and the scones especially. Really cute shop and the staff is always efficient and friendly. Love that this is a quick stop down the street from me in OS.

Purchased a chocolate peanut butter cake for my brother's 50th. The frosting was wonderful, so was the actual cake part. Great to work with. Highly recommended. Will be going back.

Pursuit of Pastry has the most delicious VEGAN funfetti cake! My daughter has a severe egg allergy, so we are beyond thankful for this creation! Highly recommend!!

Absolutely delightful bakery! Tried PoP on a whim and so glad I did. I wanted to get something a little different for partners birthday and called ahead to make sure they had a key lime dessert cake available to pick up. I can't recommend this bakery enough. We ordered a vegan chocolate cake for our wedding and it was perfect, everyone loved it.

Wonderful pastry shop, wide variety from breakfast treat to cakes and bars to chocolates. The baked donut, loved it!, everything was fresh! The owner and bakers are talented and very nice. Quality of my purchases was outstanding! Highly recommend, Great Job
