Scotch Plains Tavern

We visited for lunch on Saturday and the vibe was very chill and quiet around this time. I assume it gets a fair bit busier for dinner and after. They have a really cool aesthetic inside on the first floor where we dined. It was comfortable and stylish. They also have an upstairs bar area and outdoor dining on a pretty expansive front deck.
The service was great and the food was really good! I got the fire pit burger and really enjoyed that with the truffle fries. The spring rolls and calamari I tried as appetizers was also pretty good. Everyone else in our party enjoyed their meals and it was a good time!
If you're out this way I'd recommend checking this place out for good vibes and good food!

My MIL and I grabbed a quick bite here while out and about the other day. We had an excellent experience! The food was great, the service was great, and the vibe was great. We will absolutely be visiting again in the future!

My wife and I went for dinner. We got the tavern chips to start which were great. The dipping sauce was amazing if you like blue cheese. I got the short rib burger and my wife got the pear and prosciutto flatbread. Both were delicious. They had a good selection of craft beers and a nice cocktail list. The atmosphere was nice and the staff were very friendly. Would recommend and will definitely be back

We had a wonderful lunch! Nachos, burgers, chicken & calamari was all top notch. Our server was fantastic as well. The space is beautiful. Downstairs for a more formal or romantic setting, upstairs is casual. Outside seating w fire pits. The menu is fantastic. Something for everyone. Did I mention how delicious the drinks are?

Great food and Expresso martini selection. Live music. Can't wait to go back when the outdoor dining is open

Loved everything about Scotch Plains Tavern! After trying a few other places for dinner, our hopes weren't high to get a table here. We walked in and were seated right away. The bar area upstairs is very homey and decorated so nicely for Christmas.

Highly recommend the short rib nachos. They were amazing. The burger and BLT were also so good!

Definitely make a stop at Scotch Plains Tavern when you're in the area!

On February 18th we had a family gathering at your restaurant for my mothers 90th birthday. Can't say enough about the service from Hope W. She was right there for anything we needed. Hope kept me on track with ordering from appetizers to the birthday cake. Everyone in our party raved about how delicious their food was. All the staff made my mother feel very special for her birthday. We highly recommend this beautiful restaurant!!

Came here for lunch after a local boat and train excursion. There were 5 of us in our party.

My nephew got the big pretzel as an appetizer. This was excellent!

Among our group 2 of us got chicken 1 person got fish 1 person got a Burger and I got the peach grilled salad with shrimp. We all very much enjoyed our food.

My niece got the cheesecake for dessert and she liked it very much.

It's a great atmosphere inside. It's decorated to kind of make you feel like you're in a medieval castle hall or banquet area. But with modern touches.

Staff was very friendly and attentive. Service was most efficient.

My Fiancé and I love this restaurant and we come here often. For the most part we've had wonderful experiences. I just have to say that tonight was by far the best experience we have had yet. The black walnut espresso martini was perfect (it hasn't been very good the last few times we came). Our server Anca was absolute perfection. She was fast, helpful, and just an absolute peach. We plan to come back and ask for her in the future. Such a great experience tonight!

An outstanding dining experience. A welcoming atmosphere provided by the hoste and staff. And, an obeance that speaks to you and your guests or family.

Our waiter Zakaria and the rest of the team was very attentive and very professional. The food order was delivered correct, served hot with a great presentation. I highly recommend making reservations which was so easy on line. Between 2:00-3:00 p.m. if you want to beat the crowd.

You will be able to make special requests and they will go out of their way to accommodate you and your guests. The menu online is exactly what you will receive when you arrive. So, it's easy to plan you meals ahead of your visit.

The food menu, beverage menu and dessert menu has something for everyone. This Tavern is built to accommodate many different types of affairs. We celebrated our 48th wedding anniversary here. I also reccomend the Braised Short Rib with Mashed Potatoes and Grilled Asparagus. All seasoned well and cooked to perfection.

The Pumpkin Cheesecake was to die for. Great parking and a very clean establishment. I highly recommend this establishment.

It’s a large restaurant with both indoor & outdoor sittings. We were there on Wednesday night for dinner. It was moderately busy. We sat inside as it was cold outside. Sittings are specious & not congested. They also have pool table and we enjoyed the live music. We had Argentinian beef barbacoa & plantains, SPT Mozzarella & Focaccia, Soup, Fish & chips. Food was very good. Even though Argentinian beef barbacoa & plantains were from small plates section, the amount was not small. Very large menu, plenty of options to select from. Our server Matt was very polite, helpful & friendly. I would come back & recommend this restaurant.

What an AWESOME place. Great beer and liquor selection and what a burger. Maple bacon, smoked gouda cheese. It was so good. Sit at the bar, you won’t be disappointed. Hang with Ted, great conversations.

This was my husband and I’s first time at Scotch Plains Tavern and we were simply blown away. Our server Anka was attentive and so kind. The service in general, was amazing and the food was great along with the drinks. We will most definitely be back, and have already shared our opinions about this place with our friends and family. 10/10 would recommend!!

Foo was excellent. We had Buffalo wings and Garlic Parm wing for appetizers.Dinner entrees rocked this world. Blueberry cider tssted Outstanding!

Great atmosphere, incredible service and spectacular food and beverages. We dined inside but outside looked like a phenomenal experience as well.

Good food and beer selection. Our server was super nice, even though we came in with a big work party.

I had the small plate with gnocchi and spinach.it was excellent! Our waitress was very accommodating. I will go back!
