What a fantastic park! The grounds are immaculate and everything is well marked. Facilities are clean as well. The highlight is definitely the nature center. There is plenty to see and interact with and the staff is friendly and informative. Doesn’t matter the age, there’s something for everyone here!

Terrific state park! Large parking areas, a few EV spots are available too! The beach is long and relatively clean. Ample picnic areas throughout the park. Camping areas as well. Concession and bathrooms are easy to access. The boardwalk makes gettingf rom area to the other easy.

Great place! Not sure how much it costs on-season, free in the off months. A good little stop off if you're looking for little waves or a cute visitor center.

It’s a really nice safe place to bring the kids. They also have a lot of handicap parkings and bathrooms near the beach. Is big enough so everyone can get a good spot. The people that I met here are really respectful and nice we work together to keep it clean and safe for families.

Great place to visit, well maintained, the electric car chargers, even if not advertised (which can be a good thing lol) were available. They should fix the one at the end of the last beach parking as it doesn't work anymore.

Off season - camping would be nice -you can walk on thru the camping area in off season - the grassy lots are right over the sand dune - it’s just beautiful in the colder months. Different type of crowd gathers. The beach extends down to the salt marsh. They have a paved walkway from one end of the park to the other behind the sand dune. Even with decreased offering like no open stores or showers people that camp in the wildness understand this. Roughing it is understood and desired by many, because a certain type of people joy this type of camping.

This place is pretty big. Plenty of sites and space. Easy to find locations. Easy on and off of HW. The beach was very nice but unfortunately had a lot of debris wash ashore overnight. The crew that was there was very helpful and told us to be careful if we were to stay at the beach.

I love it here! It’s my happy place and it’s close to home. Beach is clean and they have some nice waves. There’s restrooms and a snack stand which is cool if you don’t have time to pack a cooler.

This state park has everything you want and then some. Even during non summer months! Parking is always going to be hit or miss but if you go early enough, you’ll be fine. Parts of park have walking trails, spots for collecting shells, and lots of opportunity for bird watching.

Be sure to check out Meigs Point as well as the actual beaches. Meigs Point has some great views and when i was there lots of Monarch Butterflies. I'm not a summer beach person but this time of year is ideal for someone like me just looking to get some photos. Park Ranger I spoke to was very friendly and knowledgeable. And as a CT resident, the free admission can't be beat.
