Fuji Japanese & Hibachi Steak Restaurant

I had a wonderful time! The chef was funny, very skilled, & friendly. I had the steak & shrimp, which was amazing. I also have to say that the fried rice was the best I have ever had! We were seated immediately, it was 5:00 pm. All in all a great experience. If you are really hungry, you’ll be happy with the portions. I couldn’t finish mine (everything still tasted great re-heated the next day!)

I ordered takeout was really really good. I had à la cart sushi and a spider roll and some edamame and some mushroom soup. I highly recommend this restaurant after my first visit I will be back again!

One of the best sushi places in both value and taste. This is coming from me thats been all over the east coast in the last decade.

I always order the Lunch Special Sushi since its comes with a soup. It’s definitely a bit pricier than other restaurants, but it’s better in quality and is overall a better deal since the closest competitor for value is the grocery store chain across the street. Even on Fridays when the grocery store has their discounted sushi, the restaurant is still the better deal.

4* in atmosphere is really just personal preference. Its lighting is pretty dim inside.

I had the fried oysters with spicy Kani sushi appetizer, loved it! Deb had the Pork Gyoza, better known as pork fried dumplings, they were wonderful, love the dipping stuff. I had the combo hibachi chicken and lobster tail. Everything was perfect, hot and sweet Sriracha sauce made everything better for me. Deb had the General Taso's chicken with white rice, very good, huge chicken pieces. The vegetable stir fry was very good.. The fried rice and soup were awesome. The iceberg salad with that wonderful ginger dressing is so yummy. Great attentive service and the atmosphere rocked. I totally recommend!

Great spot away from NYC.

Recently moved out of NY and was truly grateful when I found this spot. Their food is great and would recommend it to anyone passing by!

The hibachi chefs are extremely entertaining as well!

Very good place for japanese food. If you are in the mood for a good show get into the Hibachi area and have a good time along with great food, or simply sit on a table end enjoy some good sushi or other plates. Great service and reasonable price.

This great establishment was recommended to me by a local from Torrington. And I am glad he did because it was great. I had the filet steak and chicken hibachi. The seasoning was to perfection, as well as the way it was cooked. The service was also splendid. You should definitely give this fine establishment a try you will be glad you did.

The food is always amazing and with the outbreak they do everything they can to meet contactless service but continue to provide excellent service!!! Love this place!!!!

Delicious food and sake I feel had the huge goldfish in the small tank however... but i will give credit where it is do and that's the food.

Have been going here for years, for special occasions or date nights, the food and atmosphere have never been disappointing.

Food is amazing never been to a hibachi before and the experience was so awesome here! We went with about 9 ppl and there was plenty of seats just not a while lot of elbow room. My kids really enjoyed it as well.. Definitely will be back there soon!

The spicy Miso with veg soup for 2 is the best Japanese soup I've ever had. The sushi was good too.

Food was good, service was friendly, definitely had a good time!

So this is a great place to eat, expect to pay around $16-17 a plate for the sushi. It is worth the price, the food is very good. My favorite is the godzilla roll with a side of tempura vegetables and miso soup. The service is friendly and very good.

I recommend going for lunch. The Habachi grill is a great show and like always, cooked right in front of you.

As far as atmosphere, they could use a little more glamor but I am not sure what.

Got take out for lunch, everything was super yummy and big portions!

The only two thing are that I wish the waiter/waitress was checking back to see if we needed anything like drinks, napkins etc.... And the rice and the filet could be a bigger portion. But other than that it's was amazing. I love the place and would definitely recommend it.
