The Norfolk Pub

Great tavern feel, friendly neighborhood bar, always a lot of specials to choose from in addition to their regular menu. The bartender, Lindsey is the best! Pictured is the strawberry goat cheese salad with chicken off the specials menu, and it's definitely one of my favorites!

My husband and I were on a day trip when we passed this restaurant. The exterior looked charming so we stopped. The food was outstanding, especially the fried Brussel Sprouts, which had a chili sauce, bacon and Parmesan Cheese. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed

Every time we go to the Pub, Heidi and her staff make sure that we have a great experience. We often come with a 92 YO who needs extra help and without exception we are always invited to enter through the dining room (door usually closed to conserve heat) rather than the bar and everyone goes above and beyond. Great experience and food always. Thank you so much for all you do.

I had the pleasure of having one of the best burgers in my life. I requested medium and it came perfectly medium plus the total flavor with toppings was incredible. Popper burger with jalapeños, bacon, LTM, a cheese mix and Baja sauce blew me away! Every element of flavor came through. Also had the Calamari with sweet chili sauce and cilantro lime aioli dipped sauce. UNSUPASSED! Great atmosphere, service and smiles.

Delicious food, excellent service and a lot of fun! Plan to return as soon as possible and bring friends. We had a great time.

Excellent Reuben. The marbled rye was the best part. Nice stack of quality corned beef. The service was very good and the entire staff were into their gig. Cool bar ambiance and a nice local crowd. Great beer selection also.

Their food is my favorite in the area! Ask for that black bean burger with the sweet potato fries.

Dinner at the Wood Creek Bar and Grill turned out to be an outstanding dining experience. Fine food and warm hospitality make for an outstanding combination on a cold night, especially in a town as beautiful as Norfolk, Connecticut. We made our way through the crowd in the bar area, to be greeted by friendly waitstaff and our hostess/owner Heidi. The food was really wonderful; my girlfriend ordered the salmon, which the chef happily cooked to order, and I ordered the seafood over linguine, which was both delicious and so large we took it home and I enjoyed it for two more nights. We were so full we decided to skip dessert, although we have our eye on the Haystack Mountain Sundae, a local landmark that is visible from the large free parking area downtown. Next time! Consider Wood Creek Bar and Grill highly recommended.

Excellent swordfish! Loved drawing on the paper tablecloth with the crayons provided. Been going here since I was a kid.

The waiter we had was absolutely amazing and very kind. She made us a signature drink which was tasticious. Service was impeccable, everything was clean and the atmosphere was boisterous and inviting. The food was well plated and fresh. Come for the food, stay for the waitress kind of place. Exceptional service, that girl deserves a raise, 👩‍🍳 💋 on the food

My wife and I had a lovely dinner here. We ate inside, although there is a small dining area outside. The food was great (veal milanese and strawberry salad), the Sauvignon Blanc we had was tasty, and the service was even better. At least 4 different employees asked us how we were doing during the evening, and this was not due to our waitress being behind--it was just an attentive group of servers. I hope to return someday and try the Thai chicken wings.

Great spot to grab breakfast or a sandwich for lunch. Lots of options and specials. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There is also a gift shop inside with Norfolk-themed tchotchkes.

Came to Norfolk to work a season at an Inn. This pub is in walking distance and always on par. Service rocks and food never misses. Lindsey was amazing and has become a great source of friendship, as have Cassie, Monique, and Tina. Happy to call them family. I will be sad to leave. They've definitely left an indelible impression on my heart. Can't wait to come back!

Wonderful spot. Cozy, unpretentious and the food is awesome. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Great variety of dishes ranging from unpretentious bar food staples to very fine preparations and specials that would impress any foodie (I’ve had the duck and a number of delicious pasta specials). This chef would do well in any competitive restaurant city so we’re very lucky to have her up here. Service is outstanding and very friendly. Love the service staff! Worth your time and hard earned money!

Michael and Heidi do a phenomenal job, as do their very efficient staff. Enjoy the small hometown atmosphere along with delicious meals. Heidi has made an apple vingerette that is out of this world. She is in the process if getting it bottled on in stores. Come and enjoy you won't be disappointed.

We are new to the area and have been to the Norfolk Pub a few times. It has been a great experience every time. The staff is attentive, we were able to dine outside (which we prefer), and the food has been delicious!! They don’t rush you, they are friendly and seem to care about a good dining experience and make customers feel comfortable. Tonight, we had the pleasure to meet Lindsey and her two sons, Matthew and Christian, who were our waiters, and they have all been wonderful! We will be back!

Very friendly staff. Our order was taken shortly after being seated and served very quickly! Good pub food and generous portions. We will definitely be returning.
