The Mill House Kitchen & Bar

We stopped in for the first time on a Saturday evening. My husband had the mill house chicken dish while I enjoyed a strip steak. I have to say I had the absolute best creamed spinach ever. Our entrees were cooked perfectly. Our drinks were yummy. Service was top notch. After dinner we moved to the bar side. Our bartender was attentive and sweet. Drinks were delicious. Great atmosphere, clean and inviting. 5 star from us. We will most definitely be back!!!

I don’t know how anyone can give this restaurant less than 5 stars! We just ate there for the first time and super impressed with the service and food. We got tacos, a burger, and a wrap and all were hot, fresh, an absolutely delicious! Our waitress Jaime was on point and super friendly. We can’t wait to go back for dinner. Exceeded our expectations, thank you!!

We were in the mood for loaded Bloody Marys and, Alissa at The Mill, came through with exactly what we were craving. The drinks were followed by a really satisfying appetizer of mussels in a savory red sauce that even the mussels enjoyed. Our entrées of choice were a sausage parmesan grinder and a crispy chicken spinach wrap w/sides of the best french fries I’ve had in a long while. For dessert we treated ourselves to a carrot cake that was beautifully presented well beyond our expectations. Overall, presentation of each dish was excellent, service was amazing and the atmosphere was top notch. Todays visit just made our day! Well worth the five stars, if ten was an option, they would get all ten.

Can’t say enough about this place ! I have LOVED everything here. The atmosphere is inviting and the staff is amazing. Amanda at the bar is literally the bees knees She was accompanied my Lauren who was also amazing. I love this place so much. Every item I have had has been just as good as the last I highly recommended the mussels, wings, steak, burgers, hell! I recommend everything
The only downfall was when I came last week and the bartender, Amanda, gave me a drink menu she had worked on for the fall and I was so excited to try literally everything on there. But tonight she gave me the sad news that her drink menu wouldn’t be the featured drinks. She was still able to make myself and my son amazing cocktails and recommended an amazing white wine to compliment my mussels.
Please try these guys out. Don’t believe the bad reviews from when they first opened. The kinks have been worked out. And your taste buds will agree

I was very impressed by the service we received, it couldn't have been better. Met with some friends for a late dinner. Had the Philly cheese steak egg rolls shared among all, everyone liked them. I had the tacos - I ordered two, and it was ideal for dinner. My friends had wraps and enjoyed them.

Food is delicious! The fresh baked bread is tasty like the old-fashioned Italian bread.
Service is not rushed, but if you’re in a hurry let them know. Overall I’m coming back for more!!

My first time at The Mill House was great. The waitress was so personable, super friendly, attentive and she immediately got 5 stars by simply bringing a jug of water to us.😃🥰🥰🥰I make this a big deal because for some unknown reasons many restaurants/ servers lack that detail. I do not feel like I should have to ask for water especially not in a restaurant. Kendra thank you so very much for the top notch service you provided us with. I will be going there again and would love for you to be my waitress🥰My dish was delicious. Oh yeah and the expresso martini was amazing. I pray for much success in your place of business.

On an impromptu date night we decided to try a newer spot in town, The Mill House Kitchen and Bar, in Torrington. We went for an early Sunday dinner and the first thing we noticed was the startling contrast as you walk through the doors. You are immediately ushered in to a hip space who's aesthetic is streamlined and minimalist with industrial undertones.

We were lucky enough to get to interact with the owner, Fred. It became apparent that not only was he dedicated to quality service and delivering a top notch dining experience. A staff member even told me the owner was so dedicated to the new location, that even amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and getting the virus himself, he decided to continue on with his project and finish the feature wall behind the hostess stand. A true testament to his lifelong commitment to service and hospitality.

It was nice to get a sneak peak of the private event room, which is set back to afford privacy. Whether a sports banquet, baby shower, celebration of life or a special occasion, The Mill House has the ability to cater to any need, and a gorgeous space to top it off! Much to my surprise, I even got a look at the industrial sized kitchen. Not only was it massive, but it was the cleanest restaurant kitchen I have ever seen!

From the moment we walked in, there was attentive service and a friendly face to great us, we were so glad we went and will 100% be back!

Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and worth the price. The waitress we had was super nice. Definitely going back.

Staff from start to finish, hands down 10/10. I had a great lunch, i took a peak at the bar and couldn't refuse the welcoming bar tender who offered me a new drink on the menu. This beautiful blue drink, which if i must say was the BOMB!!!! Me and my friends will definitely be back, can you say HAPPY HOUR 🍻

Went here with some work friends for a lil birthday celebration. The owner sent over food and and ice cream sundae. Excellent food, service and just an all around wonderful place!!

I went for lunch place was light with people but service and food were very good. Bar was a little on the loud side. But overall a great experience.

My husband and I both almost always get the stuffed sole. It's really very good, but we ask for it 'dry' which is not totally dry, just not swimming in butter. Their burgers and tacos are also good.

Lovely environment. The food is excellent 👌. I had the Lobster stuffed ravioli with shrimp and vadca sauce and let me say that I made sure I ate it all. DELICIOUS!!!

My boyfriend had the All American burger and he loved it. He said it's the best burger he's had in Torrington.

Affordable prices, knowledgeable waitress and very pleasant. Most of all I enjoyed that she didn't continue to ask how the food was, like many restaurants. She made sure we knew she was a short distance away if we needed anything. I don't know if most agree, but it irritates me when a waitress or waiter is constantly asking you how your food is while you have a mouth full of food.

I recommend this place to everyone. I know I'll go back more than once. Exceptional family atmosphere.

We had an early Mother's Day dinner out and had been wanting to try the Mill House. Eating out with 4 people who have very different food preferences is always hard. This is the first time in a long time everyone found something they liked and everyone enjoyed their meal. Pricing is comparable to most non-chain sit down restaurants. My daughter, the pickiest of us all, gave a 10/10. Needless to say, we will be back! Also has a large bar area that looked worthy of checking out as well.

OMG..the food is fantastic! All around best experience for a wonderful dinner in Torrington. We have been several times and have never had any issues. Food and service is consistently very good.

Excellent service! Alex was very friendly & helpful. Clams / Linguini and my husband's burger / fries were exceptional. The bruschetta alone was worth the trip!! Thanks for a nice evening!

We left after eating at 9pm, we walked in for dinner at 640pm. That's way too much time for pizza and burgers. This was our 2nd visit. The first time was a little slow but the burger and pizza were excellent. Nice crust with very good cheese and the burger was juicy and delicious. Tonight, after waiting for 90minutes plus, the pizza was doughy and burger overcooked and dry. It seems like they aren't ready yet so we will check back in a few months to see if there are any improvements. Wait staff were super nice and attentive but there's only so much they can do waiting for food to be prepared. Won't last long if this isn't fixed.

We decided to give this place another try and I'm glad we did! Food was really good and more importantly the service was Excellent. Went back a couple times after that with same experience.

Great little bar/restaurant! Stopped in for lunch & a drink. Would definitely go again!
