Penny Lane Pub

Came for lunch with a friend. I didn't see any handicap accessibility to get into place. There is a step up. Have indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor in the front would be most accessible. Had a lovely waitress, and it was a pub atmosphere. A tad loud when everyone gets to talking. Had the Mediterranean salad n my friend had a mushroom omelet. Was very delicious. I left with limoncello cake with raspberrysauce, which was delicious. Enjoyed the company, and there was nothing I could say bad about my lunch.

Attached is their nachos and Alfredo pasta. Penny lane is a staple of old saybrook. If you are in the area it’s a must try. However, it can be pretty expensive so bring your big boy credit card. The food is excellent quality, staff is also amazing and the atmosphere in the restaurant is good too. Great pub vibes.

Loved it . First time here , Guinness draft with Roasted Beet salad topped with Cajun chicken - delicious , great looking seats at the bar , friendly service ,5 stars

Pleasantly surprised! Hubby said he would definitely come back for that burger. I had polenta with grilled vegetable melt. Delicious. Booths were perfect size- not squished in. A must to try.

I had a great experience. I have been seated both upstairs and on the main floor. I love that they have 2 floors. The food a good and the drinks are very well crafted. They have the best buffalo chicken wrap i have had around Connecticut. It is small, so if you are starving I would suggest ordering an appetizer.

So delicious. Got the prime rib. Delicious. Got the French onion soup. Delicious. Got the fish and chips. Delicious. Espresso martini. Delicious. Highly recommend

Dinner was super, drinks were delicious as well. We were a tiny bit early and squeezed into the downstairs bar. I wish that the hostess had told us there was an upstairs bar that was practically empty. Other than that it was a wonderful experience.

PSA- this place is 100% consistent and attentive to detail on delivery orders. Thats unheard of. They take the time to make sure ALL orders are up to their standards. Most places don’t care about the to go orders. We always feel confident in ordering delivery from them just as much as we trust going there to eat. That’s a tight ship. Well done Penny Lane Pub!

Low key, relatively small, but good selection at the bar. Screens had game on but sound low so it wasn't obnoxious. Bartender was closing up, but didn't make me feel rushed. I needed somewhere chill but clean and comfy. This place delivered.

Jax makes great drinks! The kitchen knows how to cook an impossible burger. This vegan, in a non vegan restaurant, is happy.

We've visit a lot of cities and towns in CT; and we stop at a lot of places. Penny Lane Pub is one of the places we would visit over and over again. We walked in no reservation on a cold Saturday and we're met with smiles and polite Hello's. If you come sit at the bar and chat with Brian. You want calm he'll talk calm. You want snarky he'll talk snarky. There's one thing he doesn't do is snooty. Move on. Talk is not all you get at Penny Lane Pub. The food is phenomenal, fresh and cooked perfectly. The house made Blue Cheese dressing would out HVR to shame.

Food was very good , cozy feeling and very efficient friendly waitress- I asked her name and Jocelyn is a breath of fresh air- brings you a cocktail right away -
Starts you with an appetizer and checks back to make sure all is well ;

Really good food and service and they allow well behaved dogs on their back patio. If we lived here this would be our go to place.

Great time and a great end to the Girls Weekend. Everyone's food was on point...... And the Bloody Mary's were superb. Wouldn't be a trip to Old Saybrook without stopping into Penny Lane Pub ❤🍾👏

Really good restaurant food! Had clam chowder and ahi tuna salad. Both had great umami, good levels of seasoning and ingredients were all fresh. Sat outdoors, lighting and heat worked well.

Excellent food! my veggie burger was delicious, best fried sweet potatoes I ever had. Client server very Nice!

A perfectly medium cooked burger. The chef did the Niman farm beef justice. I can't remember ever getting this perfect of a burger
