Came here on the way to the Hidden Valley Preserve and we are so glad we did! We absolutely LOVED the full Monte. Its actually addicting, i must get another hahaha

My mom loved her grilled ham egg and cheese. The pop tart and sookie cookie were such a pleasant surprise too! It tasted like a brownie, so so good. We plan to definitely be back again for all of it!

Everyone was also very nice and friendly, even when the place was pretty full!

Late reviewer, but visited in October of 2022 while driving thru CT. Great breakfast and location. Delicious and great customer service!

Yes yes and yes! I came from NYC because of Gilmore Girls duh and this place was amazing. Everyone was so nice and thank you the barista that had glasses and I believe a green hat he was so nice to my son. I came with my family and even though it was busy in there everyone was so nice. I got the Sookie cookie because duh lol and it was so soft and ooey gooey I loved it. My husband got the thanksgiving break and he loved it as well. The French toast latte tasted like the fall and I appreciate the books they had for children. I will be back definitely!

One lunch at The PO Cafe, and I’m in love! From the moment I arrived, the place was peaceful, quaint, and charming. Their menu had some really great options, and I thought it was adorable how several menu items nodded to the “Po” namesake, whether it was the “po”ke bowls or “po” pork sandwich. Everything was super yummy, but the Chicken Winner sandwich definitely stood out! The strawberry matcha latte, berry smoothie, and chai we had were all great. Don’t even get me started on the cookies - unreal!! Especially the “po” chip, which was a perfect mix of salty and sweet with potato chips mixed in. I’m not often in Washington, but I think The Po Cafe has inspired me to come visit more!

Consistently awesome, fresh and locally-sourced breakfast. The baked goods are ridiculously good too! Friendliest staff in Litchfield county. And it's just a fantastic environment with locals and weekenders alike.

Had the Green Hill sandwich with regular cheese, as I'm not a vegan. The sandwich was delicious!! Lots of crisp, fresh greens, soft grainy bread, and just the right amount of cheese. The green goddess dressing brought it all together. I am a picky vegetarian and this sandwich was just yummy! I will be ordering it again and again!!! Soooo good!!!!

Came here for some pastries and coffee and ended up finding one of the best chicken sandwiches I ever had. Which was followed up with their potato chip chocolate chip cookie….don’t ask just try it and thank me later. Staff was friendly and super efficient! The setting is quintessential New England, Go out for a nice drive one weekend and check this spot out!

This place has such a great vibe. The po taco was good but what really stood out for me were the pastries and coffee. I had two croissants, a spinach and feta and a leek and cheese, both were amazing. The pastry itself was soft and buttery and the filling was plentiful and tasty. The coffee was strong and so well brewed I kept saying how much I enjoyed it on the way home. Not many places brew coffee like that!

Great food, cute seating area inside and out, and kind people. Everyone seemed to know each other as they came in and out. Employees very friendly! Would come here again for sure.

A dear friend took me there today for my first visit. The atmosphere is quintessential New England eatery housed in the old Post Office. The menu offered something for everyone. Service was friendly and speedy. And most importantly, the food was amazing. I ordered the Delhi sandwich - a curry-lovers dream! I can't wait to go back again!

The PO is simply the best. The cakes are gorgeous. The cruffins are always warm. The lattes are truly the best in the area. And the family that owns it is genuinely kind.

We love the PO. The food and drinks are always amazing. Fresh ingredients and so delicious. Maggie the owner is always so accommodating, and has made my kids such delicious cakes for their birthdays. Her staff always remembers us and our orders. It’s such a welcoming place, and my whole family loves it there. Be sure to check it out.

it’s been a while since i’ve been to the po (I live in NY!) but I always rave about it to my friends and family. my best friend and I originally discovered the cafe through a gilmore girls inspired tour, and we were instantly hooked! the latte’s are AMAZING and the fresh whipped cream they put on top is addicting. the girl working behind the register gave me such a sweet compliment the last time I was there, and it’s stayed with me ever since! I can’t wait to visit again in the fall :)

I had the PO taco and it was amazing. If I weren't on a diet I would have gotten quite a few more.

We were hesitant to give this place a try after seeing some of the negative reviews. Let me just say, we are happy we ignore the negative reviews and gave them a try. I had the Full Monte sandwich and it was delicious. My husband had the chicken sinner. His response was he always needs this chicken in his life. Would definitely recommend and will be back for more.

The Po is The Best. Their breakfast sandwiches are perfect -crispy, melt-in-your-mouth, drool-worthy and delectable. My family is divided between BEC and SEC (but since I’m writing the review my vote is for bacon, always!). Their coffee and other hot drinks are always great, their lunches and delicious and varied - it’s impossible to get bored with all of the great regular options plus the specials! I dream of the ginger cookies (even if the last one I had was a little dry, it happens), and their custom cakes make a celebration truly special.

The Po has high quality sandwiches, amazing coffee and house made pastries and baked goods, and great service. The ambiance is warm and classic. They regularly develop exciting and inspired specials. They have healthy options for a post hike lunch or more hearty satiating meals if you’re especially hungry. It is amazing that there’s a high quality but casual and unpretentious restaurant that has an expansive menu in such a quaint part of Connecticut.

Great little eatery tucked away in Washington CT. I have only had their breakfast but it's always been good. Really fresh ingredients, very pleasant dishes.
If you get the breakfast tacos I would recommend getting 2 or 3, they're slammin' but a little small.
