MIX Prime Steakhouse, Fish & Sushi Bar

Absolutely phenomenal. There is something for everyone here and I imagine no matter what you order, you will be blown away. The sushi rolls and prime rib are both amazing options and you need to try the mussels. The staff are very professional and attentive.

Everything was delicious and the outdoor area is beautiful! The food was delicious and the wine list was good. I was not impressed with the special I had (stuffed sole) but literally everything else was perfect. The waitstaff was kind and knowledgeable.

Great experience! Food and service was exceptional, Nice atmosphere. Prime rib was cooked perfectly for me, great texture and flavor. My wife had the Cajun seared scallops with risotto, great presentation, and flavor. I had the Eastern oysters, the cocktail sauce was different, on the sweeter side but very good. The restaurant is on the pricey side but not out of line. Of note: if you're looking for a quiet place for an intimate dinner, this is not the place. It is very loud. Tables are closely spaced. It is a very good place to meet friends and have a very enjoyable evening.

I cannot think of the words to describe our praise for our meal last night. We booked the private room for our daughter’s birthday dinner for 20 people at short notice and it was spectacular. Rick was an absolute pleasure to deal with, who went out of his way to ensure the event was exactly as my daughter hoped for. The staff was incredibly attentive from set up, during the meal to clearing up. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending MixPrime to anyone looking for a private dining venue.

We’re visiting CT and looking for a nice restaurant to celebrate. We’re able to get a reservation here a day prior for six people. Restaurant is so beautiful with a cozy and modern vibe. Food and drinks were delish. Half of the table ordered filet mignon and they though it was so juicy and tasty. We also ordered an assortment of sushi and really liked what we got. It’s a busy night at the restaurant and it took us a while to get their attention. The staffs were nice; however, they also seemed so busy that night. We had to wait a while to place orders, get water refill, drink orders, etc.

This place is the best! I’ve been here numerous times and never had an issue. Anyone who writes a bad review about this place is a Karen … our server John was friendly and attentive the whole night! The drinks were delicious and the food was even better… all our steaks were cooked to perfection and the sides yummy. I’ll be back in a few weeks for my birthday!

We (My girlfriends and myself) just had an absolutely immaculate dinner at this restaurant. We tried a number of things from the filet mignon to the lobster ravioli and lamb, including the sushi as well. We also enjoyed a few different drinks! Everything was out of this world fantastic! A fantastic meal.

The music and dim, romantic atmosphere with visible wine storage and rustic lighting was unique for what I'm used to from a restaurant like this, and uniquely excellent, the service made me feel like I was eating at the Grand Budapest; truly exemplary.

We were served by a gentleman named Frank, and he was knowledgeable and friendly and attentive, without being overbearing in the slightest. He was also charming and personable! My party had a lovely time with him as well. Honestly, dining done right is difficult whether you're fine dining or eating at a fast food restaurant, and so much of it boils down to how the staff is taken care of by the owners. I like to think that they're doing a good job at this location, because everything, and I mean everything, was absolutely pristine! It was expensive, but you are absolutely going to get your money's worth if you want to really splurge. The dining experience is enviable from any perspective. I felt lucky to be eating there. Thanks for the great meal! We'll definitely be back.

My husband, daughter, and I went here for my birthday brunch. I have to say it was one of the best meals we've had in Connecticut. Everything was prepared perfectly. We did the prefix brunch menu and sometimes places go cheap on what they offer but I thought the selections were fantastic and the drinks were mixed really well! We will definitely be returning again soon.

Been here a few times and have almost always had a good experience. Came here recently and had some sushi at the bar, and everything was great.

Started with the Wasabi dumplings which are amazing - seriously - please try these, they won’t disappoint and I don’t even like wasabi!

We ordered quite a few sushi rolls and everything was amazing. Definitely pricy, but that is to be expected.

The restaurant itself is beautifully done, you can tell they thought about every detail when they renovated the place. Very clean and inviting!

Our go to for sushi!!! Also reserved a private room to celebrate my husbands birthday. Highly recommend for romantic dinners, outdoor dining or huge parties. Beautiful restaurant with friendly staff.

Some of the best sushi and fish in the state at Mix Prime! Definitely recommend the “Love Boat for two” for one! The staff is also incredibly accommodating. Ryan was one of the best waiters that I have ever had. A must go to restaurant!

High end steakhouse lives up to its prices. Looking at close to $100 per person, if not more but it was well worth it. Amazing service, great atmosphere, and delicious food. The Cabernet sauce was a must have with your steak.

Food is awesome. Sushi is on point and the linguini and clams is PERFECT ! Expect slower service for a large group- they aren’t great at that per several experiences now with that same issue. Overall awesome. Great bartenders with excellent drinks too!

Everything went smoothly from start to finish. Food was extremely hot and taste great. Interesting mix of food hence the name. Full sushi bar and full steakhouse in 1. Bar in cool. Drinks were good.

The food prices in this restaurant for dinner are ridiculous!! The wine on a Sunday is moderately priced for bottles, but the food prices are sky high. The quality is not that great with the food. Flemings and Max's have much better food for around the same price, but much better quality.

Great place. Excellent food, great servers, super nice bartenders (we waited there for our table/order appetizers there) beautiful renovated place after carmen Anthony seafood was there years ago. In summer the garage door type they have is lifted and takes you to a gorgeous outdoor patio setting with chimney for dinner, very nice. SUSHI BAR creations are so beautiful you don't want to eat them, steaks come out to perfection to all of the types we order in Our table .. onion soup was out of this world... All great....only minor suggestion, need more mature host at door beside the female teen they have/had sandals once and sneakers other day... need to dress up more. Thanks.

My family and I recently received an invite to return to the restaurant that we always loved. We expressed an issue we had during our previous visit, and we were very much taken care of above and beyond our expectations. Rick met us at the door and accompanied us to our seats, and we were greeted by our waiter promptly. We were very happy with the assertiveness and punctual service that we enjoyed in the past.
The sushi, mixed drinks, and appetizers were spot on. The entrees were amazing. We opted for the filet mignon, mashed potatoes, sautéed mushrooms, broccoli, and asparagus, all of which were absolutely amazing and to perfection. We finished our meal off with the rich and delicious lava cake for the girls and a nice smooth bourbon for myself.
I can't express how much I appreciate the evening, and we will be returning for many more nights to come.

I’m not from the area. I was just passing through and looking for a place to eat. I got the recommendation from a local, and was very satisfied. We had the beef ravioli, a ribeye, and a half dozen oysters. Everything was excellent. Beef ravioli was very flavorful. The oysters were very fresh. The ribeye was cooked to a perfect medium rare. I can’t remember the server’s name, but he was a very friendly guy, who made us feel very welcomed. Great place 👍🏻

Had a very nice night out with wife. Food was amazing and on point. I had a bon in NY strip, fried calamari for appetizer, negroni drink and lava cake for dessert.
They lost one star on service because the main meal did took a while to come a d a wrong plate was delivered to me.
