Washington Supply, by combining with 2 other regional lumber/hardware businesses, has managed to bring the best of everything together. You get the variety, volume and pricing of the "box" stores, and the individual attention, simplicity of purchasing, and quality control/follow through of your local lumber and hardware store. We recently built a barn that required a great deal of material for completion. Brad and Allie were both excellent contact people to ensure I got the best quality materials at the best pricing. Even when there was a glitch in the order of materials for the roof, Washington Supply went above and beyond to secure the best outcome. That's when that more personal attention is most evident and most welcome. My advice is not to waste the time and the trip to the box store and work with a local business that can give you the best of everything.

I am in love with WSC. What a well organized shop! From browsing the hardware side to going to the outdoor living center, we were absolutely wowed. If you want a chill shopping time, this is the place. It’s the best balance of assistance when you need it and no one bugging you with useless greetings and info when you don’t want it. I went in looking for gnomes and outdoor decorations and found a lively, colorful wreath for my door. The lady working the OLC was helpful and sociable. I really love a well curated gift shop and found so many things. It was great to see local product representation from Goat Boy soaps in addition to Dionis, one of my favorite body care products.

Washington Supply Company provides great products as well as the BEST customer service. Recently, I brought a concern to their attention about some high-end outdoor furniture that was purchased years ago. Dawn, in outdoor living, immediately followed up with me and interceded on my behalf with the manufacturer to resolve the issue. She is awesome. This is the kind of customer service one expects, but rarely gets these days. Winning customers for the long-term is what makes WSC a true gem!

I love the Outdoor Living Center of Washington Supply!! Dawn gives outstanding customer service as well as great birder/birding advice! (Dave is also wonderful !) I love nipping in every week or so to see what’s new- it’s always fresh, fun and eclectic!! We just had a wonderful experience! We had been waiting for almost 5 months for some wood from a big box company and Washington Supply had it in stock and delivered it on the same day! We will be using them for future lumber purchases! They also had amazing customer service.

Washington supply is a great local small hardware store. Small isn't actually the best description, I only said it because it's a small town. But they do actually have an extensive lumber yard parts department, and hardware for home. Next door is the garden center, and they have everything you would need for around the house, and landscaping. They do cater to local builders and contractors, but it is also geared towards the local population. Prices are a little higher than the average True value type store, but that's mostly due to the area. There are a lot of New York residents, and wealthy people in the area, and you really can't blame them for running the business the way they choose to. It's still extremely convenient for the locals to go there for stuff that they just might need. And I will say that the normal everyday items are not hi in price. It's mostly the luxury type items or higher and products. But that's the expected

Great service, knowledgeable staff, very good prices! I recently bought a sheet of birch ply for a project in my wood working shop; Home Deport would have cost be $124 ( 4 - 2ft x 4ft sheets) at the Washington Supply a better quality sheet was $75 and for a couple of dollars they cut it to my specs. This is a great local business support it I buy everything here! They will order ANYTHING that's not in stock, and they sharpen blades and bits.

A great garden and home center
Everything you've gonna need to do a home project. The staff is great to work with. The garden decor is extensive and we'll thought out. A must to stop by if your in the area. Good stuff to do in the area as well

The best store in litchfield County

I was installing a generator for a home owner in Washington. I ran short of 1-1/4 inch PVC conduit. The supply houses and big box store in the Waterbury area were all out of that size. The home owner told me to call Washington Supply. Confident they did not have the conduit, I called to make the home owner happy. To my surprise they had it!
It was my first time at the store and I was pleasantly surprised with the order and variety of supplies. They were friendly and helpful, making sure I had everything I needed.
