We took a ride on the Northern Lights Limited evening train. We booked seats in the Hickory Creek Observation Lounge. The train, departs Thomaston Station for Santa's Workshop. The cabin lounge was festively decorated and lit.

The staff were all extremely friendly. The cars were roomie and cabin seating was confortable. Santa and Mrs. Clause did a great job engaging all guests, giving special attention to the kids. It was definitely a great night spent with my kids.

One of the best train experiences! They are all very professional and friendly! My family has been on many train excursions with them and tbey are always on time and even try to wait for the occasional person who is running late and have even accommodated people with a different time if they did miss their train! This train is mostly run by volunteers who give their time up for the love of trains.
Highly recommend!!!

What a great ride for any age. The staff insured that all have a great time and enjoy the train ride. Love the Northern Lights ride at 5 where there was some daylight left for great pictures and then again at night. Fun to watch the cars at the crossing getting out and also taking pictures. Highly recommend a trip here

It was magical one suggestion u need more lights in the town and the option to have the window open or closed could barely see due to the rain

The museum and Christmas Train was a wonderful experience for one and all. Options for the kids and adults. Beautiful restored railcars bring you back to the golden age of rail travel in the U.S. and classic Christmas music...

Went for the Holiday Train ride as part of a larger multi-generation family group night out and was a good time for all. Will repeat and do recommend! One word of advice is use the restroom before boarding the train or you might wish you had because it has no bathroom.

We rode with Santa, so much fun! I would love to ride the train during the day, especially to Thomaston Dam. The train cars have comfortable seats, large windows but might I suggest use the facilities at the station, not on the train.☺

Orion and his crew are the best! Tons of fun events featuring a picturesque ride on the Naugatuck Railroad.

We love serving our wine on these historic cars!

We took the Torrington Twilight train in mid autumn, and it was a wonderful experience. The staff are all very kind and knowledgeable, and the museum/gift shop were very interesting to look through. I'd highly recommend any train ride with them. We did take first class for our journey, and were allowed free alcohol and light snacks.

We went to the Bourbon train this weekend and had a wonderful time. The food was excellent and the bourbon was delicious. I had read in a review of the tequila train that they had run out of water and came prepared with our own water, but the station had apparently took notice of that review and had plenty of water on hand before, during, and after the ride. It was really fun and the stop at the chocolate factory was nice, the sample box of chocolates to take home was cute. We will definitely book another ride.

Great place! We went on the pumpkin patch train and my nephew had a blast. There's a guided tour and they give you donuts and cider before. Beautiful views too!

We went on the "ice cream train" we had some ice cream and went on a beautiful ride. The conductor did a great job telling us about the area and the kids were able to do a scavenger hunt. We're looking forward to going on the Christmas train

We visited for the Northern Lights event.
Santa and Mrs.Claus made their way to each and every child on all 5 cars! Took pictures & of course asked what the wanted for Christmas.
The children received a reindeer bell & had the chance to pick a toy out of Santas toy bag. Everyone were in costume, from the Conducters to Santas helpers/elves.
The tricky part was getting down Into the train station, gps will bring you to the middle of the road. You have to go up and turn around (depending which way you get there) you will see a ramp take that down to the station. No bathrooms on the train but there are restrooms the next building over from where you pick up your tickets. Which are very clean! free parking on site.

We enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be going again next year 🎅🤶
