Sunnybrook is a local favorite! Several clearly marked trails of different lengths - blue, white, yellow and red. You will see trees chewed by beavers. and herons' nests, too! Sharper eyes will see remnants of the old Fadoir Farm, such as rusting farm equipment and a bathtub for thirsty cows. Very dog friendly. For a longer hike, you can follow the Blue Trail (John Muir Trail) across Newfield Road, to Walnut Mountain (the highest point in Torrington, but no vista) and ultimately to Burr Pond.

A nice balance of flat, easy trails and more challenging options. The yellow and red trails are not very well maintained. These are best for older children and experienced hikers. The pond area is great for younger kids. Very dog friendly, with leashes.

Beautiful place for a nature walk. Enjoy the peace and quiet with easily marked trails. The Brook is beautiful to listen to. Escape the chaos of everyday life when you visit Sunny Brooke State Park.

Cool place to go on a walk, or hike, and the day we went there were a lot of bikers. the trails looked really sweet for some experienced riding. had a great time walking through the trails with our dog, keep an eye out for those bikers and definitely don't let your dog off the leash!

First time here today. Nice walk. Lots dog walkers. Woodsy with lots of trials but today I stayed on the paved or gravel b/c some of the trails were too muddy.
I'll definitely be back to explore more of the park.

Wonderful trails along the river, through streams and marshes - followed the yellow trail all around the marsh with Osprey nests, tons of moss covered rocks - peaceful!

Sunnybrook is a nice place to walk around, there are a bunch of marked trails to explore.
Fishing, hiking, and there's even a field where they fly RC plains.
Plenty of parking and I believe hunting is allowed,
Great place to relax or take the dog for a run.
Never had an issue with ticks but they are definitely in the tall grass so check.

Great place to go if your looking for an easy walk, but don't be fooled there are also some very well marked hiking trails with a variety of difficulty differences. Dogs allowed as long as leashed, kids would have a great time exploring

Sunnybrook is like old faithful for me. Being only 10 minutes from my house, it's my go to for when I want a hike but don't have a lot of time. I've been here many times and it never gets old. There are always people here and lots of dogs. A lot of them off leash unfortunately. Trails are loops, fairly easy and well marked.

Beautiful place with many trails for a hike through the woods or a walk on the old road trail to the Dam.

Been walking my dog here sometimes for a couple years, it is always very clean and maintained my dog loves it!! Also, the people that do come out there mostly seem very nice and mind their own, good company!

This park is secluded and peaceful. It has a pond/ bog to hike too. There are several mountainous trails with different degrees of difficulty to try out.
I tried mountain biking, but its really not great due to the large rock's, boulders and tree fall.
