Zhang's Restaurant

Steamed vegetable dumplings, chicken wings, vegetable fried rice, chicken & broccoli & Singapore mei fun-all excellent, really good flavors & meat was tender & juicy.

This is a very nice Chinese restaurant with an extensive menu including many Asian cuisine including Japanese and Thai favorites such as sushi and crab Rangoon. The service is excellent and the dining area is very nice to sit for a meal; they also do a lot of take out orders. Fine, fresh food and generous portions at a moderate price.

I love Zhangs, I frequently come here for the lunch special or for dinner with my husband . The food is always great , drinks are delicious and potent .

Great food, good portion sizes, and decent prices. I was a little disappointed that they no longer give tea and fried wonton strips with duck sauce to customers. The restaurant is clean, and the service is good.

Live in Eastern Ct.We drive to Saybrook for "very good" Chinese.
Pretty bad when you need to drive 80mi.

Best sushi place around as well as chinese food. Everyone is always super friendly! Very quick in the kitchen and comes out so good every single time!

TL DR; Our dinner at Zhang’s was so good, we didn’t want to get full.

We moved to the shoreline around 6 years ago and have been searching for really good Asian food. For some reason, we neglected going to Zhang’s. Well, shame on us!

Zhang’s is delicious! I ordered the Pad Thai and my son ordered chicken lo mein. Both were excellent. We also had some steam and fried dumplings. They were excellent as well. We figured since this was our first try at Zhang’s, we’d keep it simple.

Can’t wait to go back and get more adventurous!!

We get takeout here about twice/month. Always good. Sushi is really good, favorite entree is the house special Pad Thai. Staff is very nice & food is usually ready before the specified time.

Got some pick up dinner on the way back from the beach. The fried ice cream is insanely good lol so good. If you are picking it up, eat it in the car as soon as you get it or else it will be completely melted, but definitely crave worthy.

Perfect. We order they give us a time and at that exact time it’s out and ready. Coming back!!!

The only good Chinese food on the shoreline. Food is freshly prepared and the owners are lovely.

I’ve gotten takeout five times in the last year or so. Two times were excellent, one was average and two were not edible. The general Tso was hard as a rock. My guess is they must have reheated it several times. I don’t know a professional chef could let this out the door

Zhang’s was a restaurant I heard about when I visited Connecticut recently, having travelled to Japan and China in the past the food I had at Zhang’s was the same if not better than the food I had there. It’s truly authentic and I would 100% recommend the Godzilla and Snow Mountain rolls. I would attach pics of what I ate but I couldn’t wait. It’s also family owned which is great to hear! Staff were amazing and if you’re feeling a drink, the scorpion bowl was recommended to me by their helpful waitress👍🏽

Best Asian-American restaurant southeast Connecticut. Great service and friendly staff. All their so dishes are very good. Sushi is also decent, if you want to go that route. We go about every 6-8 weeks and have never been disappointed.

We were passing through the area and looking for some chinese food. This place poppedup in the searchresults and did not disappiont. Best Pad Thaii have tasted. My husband picked The Happy Family, and it was excellant. Portions were generous and we both took home enough for lunch the next day. Service was great, and they do space out the tables and sanitize right after a party leaves.

First time going there, it was the best tested Chinese food. We ordered fried rice combo( fried rice, Fried chicken & roll) and house special lo main spicy.

one of the best Chinese restaurant yet! coming from an Asian household this restaurant definitely is on the more authentic side. The food is fresh and their sushi is a must try! I have been coming here for years and don't see a reason to stop! the servers are friendly and the family who owns this restaurant are awesome! 10/10

Zhang’s is my favorite restaurant to eat at! The sushi is so fresh, the Chinese meals taste so authentic, and the vibe is super comfortable. It’s a family owned restaurant and it certainly feels that way. The service is wonderful, everyone there takes great care of the guests— it’s no wonder that they have a loyal following of returning customers. Once you go to Zhangs, you are sure to go back. This restaurant always hits the spot for my Chinese food and sushi cravings 😋

My uncle and I went here and had an amazing time. The wait staff was impeccable and we were treated really nice. He brought us a scorpion bowl that was effective at satisfying. The food was great too. It was all hot and if you wanted something diff he will bring what ever it may be out right away... great food
