I brought my car in for an estimate only, and did not consent to repairs. I was told that the estimate would be done and I should hear back from Kevin later that day (Monday) or perhaps the next day (Tuesday). I heard nothing from until I called Kevin on Thursday asking for an update and an idea as to when I could pick up my car. I was told I needed to keep my car there and I provided Kevin with more of an update than they were able to provide me. The car being “estimated” is a handicapped accessible van that I need in order to transport my adult son who has been paralyzed since birth. I was told I couldn’t pick up my vehicle without having to pay County Line a holding fee which I believe their sign states is $80/day. I arranged transportation with my father to go get my car and discuss this issue in person. When I got there Kevin denied ever telling me that I would be updated by Monday or perhaps Tuesday. And repeated stating I would not be allowed to pick up my car with out paying them a holding fee for days in which they held my car without my permission. The manager of the collision department was called. I don’t recall his name mostly because he entered the room with an condescending arrogant attitude. He held that rude attitude until he agreed that I could take my car after paying a 2 hour fee for estimate work. Then added this issue wasn’t worth “wasting his time on”. Horrible customer service and I hope this man spends most of his time NOT dealing with customers directly. Long story short I took my car after paying for ONLY the service they provided. I brought my car directly to another more reputable auto shop in town and had a second estimate done within 1 hour and have my car to be able to transport my son. The only reason County line wants to hold onto these collision vehicles for days on end is because they will be paid $80/day, by the insurance company or customers, for vehicles they do not expend any resources on during the time in question. I certainly won’t be “wasting anyone’s time” at County Line again and neither should anyone else.
