Pendleton Health & Rehab: Morren Christopher MD

I have been to Pendleton on many occasions due to the need for physical strengthening. It isn't exactly where I'd prefer to go after any hospital stay. Just like anyone else all I want to do is go home.

Because rehab is necessary I have chosen Pendleton for a number of reasons, not because it's the closest to my home town. But because it is, in my opinion, one of the best facilities that can accommodate all of my needs.

Their physical and occupational therapist personnel work with me to make sure that by the time I am ready to go home I have achieved all goals necessary to maintain a safe home life.

The nurses,nurses asst.,office staff do everything to make your stay is as comfortable as possible. They also consult with me as often as possible so that I don't feel like I'm being kept in the dark with regards to my health. The dietitian personnel work with me to create as favorite-able a menu to accommodate my needs.

I would,and have,recommended Pendleton Health & Rehab to others as a very good choice compared to many facilities in the New London county area.

I don’t recommend this place to anyone. Some of the staff is caring and you can tell they care but alot are their for just a paycheck. They don’t really care. My mom was residing their until her passing.

She fell there around March of 2020 and I got her story and then their story and none of them were the same. I believe what my mom said though. She was in the bathroom and mind you she is a one on one assist. So someone was suppose to be close to her when shes going to stand and walk herself. She got light headed and dizzy and fell. She fractured her left hip. Lets just say that she was in bed for 4 days in severe pain and all they gave her was tylenol. They did xrays and said they were clear so they gave her someone else to help but the pain was so out of control. My mom would call my brother and I crying that she was in pain. They did another xray still nothing. So I called and complain they got a different xray company to come in to do more xrays and thats were they found the fracture. She got sent to the hospital and had to have surgery. She went back to this place to recover and she was never the same. She ended up with her infection with e.coli in her incision and they had to wash it out. The hospital thought they got the infection somewhat under control and they sent her back to the nursing home. Somehow the infection got bad again and she had to get sent back to the hospital to get her incision washed out again and lets just says a day after the last wash out we had to put her into hospice care and she passed Aug of 2020.

Please do not send your loved one there.
