The food is delicious. The portions are very big. We had the fish and chips and it was delicious. The clam chowder was very good; thick, creamy and flavorful. The service was excellent. It's a crowded and popular place because the food is always great. It's our third visit and we would recommend getting a reservation ahead of your visit.

Our visit was great! My thanks to everyone for making me feel like I was coming home. We had the lobster roll and captain burger, which were prepared perfectly! The fries were nicely thin and crispy, and like everything else on our plates, seasoned perfectly. I'd have pictures of the clam chowder if I hadn't gulped it down in five minutes! I couldn't recommend this place enough. The homey feeling of the pub, the helpful, polite and friendly staff. It was a perfect time. Thank you all again! I can't wait to come back!

We absolutely loved this place- it reminded us of a small pub we ate at in Ireland. Our seafood was fresh and delicious. The lobster roll was nowhere near skimpy like other places we've been. Prices were very reasonable.

By far best oysters I have ever eaten great service great atmosphere. The salmon scallops lobster roll and and rated cod are amazing definite recommendations. Bread pudding and Gelato for desserts. This is a must go to restaurant.

From Robert, I had the fish and chip and it was delicious. The cod was lightly battered and flacky as it should be. We also had calamari with perfect blended sauce, describing it as quite delicious.

The atmosphere with a gas fired stone fireplace, old wooden beams accented it nicely. And the service was great also.

We will return, thank you.

The DPI is a "must" when you visit Mystic. The service and quality of food is fantastic. The historic significance of the building and old New England feel makes for a warm and intimate step back in history. Another bonus, they have live music down in the bar 7 nights a week!

Cold day so popped over to the DPI for a quick lunch in the bar. I love the ambience and love the bar in winter. It’s cute upstairs but I tell all yo try to get a seat downstairs!! There’s Easy parking behind the building. We had chowder, onion soup, a Reuben and stuffed portobello mushroom with some tea and a drink. Great time. Great service.

Fantastic place, and in a great location just outside the main strip, so easy to walk to if you need to, but you can find parking easier (although the parking is pretty tight). My wife had the lobster Mac and cheese and we also had the lemon pepper chicken. The pub looked pretty cool in the basement and looked like an old school British pub. But we are upstairs which was still really nice. Note - the pub doesn't take reservations, but it is recommended to get reservations for the main dining room

The Captain Daniel Packer Inne Is Awesome! I always enjoyed coming here when I lived in CT because it’s just so awesome. The food is very good. The interior is decorated very well with the scenery of the 1700s era. The staff are friendly. There’s a bar. There’s a beautiful fire place. Without any doubt going to the Captain Daniel Packer Inne is a great opportunity because it will always be a great experience! Have a great day!

They were super accommodating as my friends and I were able to get a table for 12 during Memorial Day weekend with just 10 minutes of notice when everyone else was booked solid. The server was very friendly and the food was delicious. Highly recommend. The lobster tail is great!

Lovely atmosphere and history, gorgeous building, and our server Cameron was amazing and really went above and beyond. If you at all like scallops, you HAVE to get the scallops here. I am not exaggerating when I say these are the best scallops I've ever had. Can't wait to go again.

recently had lunch, the server, ambiance and food was perfect.
Constructive criticism the lobster in the lobster roll was flavorful and plentiful, but slightly overcooked.
The roasted beet platter was the best I gave ever had. Would have liked more Ricotta on the plate it was almost not there.
Overall can’t wait to come back for dinner!!!!!

My brother was visiting from CA and I wanted him to have a really great dinner with an old fashioned New England atmosphere. DPI it is and we were not disappointed. Food was fabulous! New England clam chowder snd Nantucket scallops for dinner. Wish we had room for dessert. Our waitress Heidi was so pleasant and attentive. Really made our night! Well done!!!

My husband and I decided to try the Captain Daniel Packer Inne on a blustery, windy day. The warm and comfortable restaurant with fireplaces taking the chill out of the air was a perfect choice as was the hot cider. The food was delicious starting with the clam chowder. My fish and chips was fantastic while my husband really enjoyed his roasted cod. We had enough leftovers for another meal. We’ll definitely return!

We went for a mini honeymoon to Mystic Ct. we had dinner at Captain Daniel Packer Inne and it was absolutely amazing. Our waitress was so sweet. She even gave us a brownie and Ice cream to celebrate us. The atmosphere was so cute! I definitely recommend grabbing dinner from here if you’re in the area!

The place is a hidden gem in Mystic that is right across from the water. I ordered the lemon chicken and the sauce was so creamy and yum. It reminded me of chicken fried steak. The mashed potatoes were garlicky which i like. We also got the short ribs which were perfect and so flavorful. I was surprised with how much i liked the sautéed spinach and kale but everything was so fresh and had great flavor. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the roasted grid with bread because it didn’t give much flavor but everything else was good.

Delicious food, great bartender. Everything we ate was amazing. First time I've ever had brussel sprouts that I couldn't stop eating. These are NOT your mom's brussel sprouts. Lobster roll and tacos were both excellent also.

Found this place by accident, so glad we did. Went to the pub, and it was happy hour. Half price apps and certain drinks. The oyster and crab cake were so amazing. Lori was our bartender, and she did an excellent job. Will definitely go back when back in town!!!

My wife and I read a great review regarding Captain Daniel pack are inn.

Upon our arrival we were greeted promptly we were early for a reservation, but they were happy to accommodate with a smile 😊

Amazing history we were greeted by Michelle our server she seemed very happy to be there.

The ambiance was fantastic the fireplace was lit, Michelle informed us of the history of the in which dates back to the 1700s.

Our meal was perfect and it's nice to see Michelle had a passion about her job and it was a breath of fresh air after getting excuses after excuses about bad service due to covid at other establishments.

I highly recommend.
