Identity Salon

Today was my first time at Identity and it was such a great experience! It’s hard for me personally to find a salon that I like that actually gives me a cut that I can truly say I love! Roz was super kind, open, and communicative when it came to my hair and about life in general which I loved! It felt like I have known them for more than just the hour and a half that I was there for. I’m so happy to say that I found a place that I genuinely enjoy going to - to a person I can trust my thick/long hair with 🤍 Anyway - don’t hesitate to come here!!! Make sure to check out the shop side of the salon! There are cute jewelry pieces, tops, vintage jeans and claw clips that actually look like they can hold thick hair! 🤍

I came here for a haircut and bleach and some vivid color. Roz did a phenomenal job and I’m super happy with it! It was a really nice atmosphere, very cozy and cute.

Roz is an amazing hair stylist and is so fun to talk to. She's been cutting my hair before she opened her salon and I cannot fathom going anywhere else.

My autistic son got his haircut here today. He had a good experience and loves his hair.

Roz provides an incredibly welcoming and safe atmosphere, and is a joy to work with.

I really didn't want to write this review but after being urged by multiple people I suppose I will. I received a free hair cut by Roz Saturday Sept 23, 2023 during their gender affirming hair cut event. I filled out the form on their website and was extremely impressed and even more excited seeing all of the questions on the client questionnaire. I was explicit about how I was growing my hair out but wanted to connect the two distinct layers from a previous undercut and that I needed a wash and wear type of haircut due to my chronic illnesses. Prior to the haircut when asked what I wanted I again was explicit about what exactly I wanted. Unfortunately I left with my hair maybe 1/3rd of the length it was previously and it was extremely thin from the straight razor. When they messaged me asking if I had liked my haircut I was honest about the fact that I was displeased with the results and the one any only response I have gotten from them was "Im thinking it just needs to be brushed and dried right" (Sept 27th) I've sent a few messages including the fact that I had to get my hair fixed elsewhere and how much this has effected my mental health, but still have not heard anything else from them. My hair held a significant amount of gender euphoria on top of the fact that I am autistic. It's unfortunately been a very mentally taxing experience. I've had a significant increase in gender dysphoria relating to the hair cut. And while there's no money to be refunded, and hair cannot be glued back on, I still would have appreciated some sympathy or empathy or some form of customer service.. I've waited a total of 2 weeks to the day, and I'm just unfortunately very saddened by my experience because I adore what they're trying to do.
