Weird thought it had posted earlier but doesn't look like it now. Anyway. Great time. Haven't been here for about 30 years. Stopped through Ames and was able to go again with the family. The owner still "lurks" there.
Sarah was a great waitress made us feel very welcome.
I got the cubano others got the Border burger and two Brasilian burgers. It was all very yummy! Oh and the Yucca fries! Nice deviation from normal fries.

Good restaurant / bar located near the university. I came in for a late dinner and ordered the Cuban, which came with fries and dressing — very good. They have big TVs for showing of sports. After 9 PM, the kitchen closes and they start operating principally as a bar, meaning that they start checking the IDs of everyone who walks in. Overall great place, big screens for football, and open late.

The food here is always great. I love their burgers and the fries that come on the side. It is a little on the loud side but other than that, it's a great spot for lunch or dinner.

My partner and I wanted to try something new for Valentine’s day, and I’m so glad this is the place we chose! The food and drinks are delicious, and the service was great. Our waitress was so kind, and we were never waiting too long for anything despite it being quite busy. My only complaint is that the music is a bit loud, we ended up getting dessert to-go because my partner was getting overwhelmed with the noise. Overall though, I had a great time and look forward to going back!!

We tried the Bauru sandwich and garlic spaghetti. The sandwich had a delicious grilled chicken patty with cheese and other veggies. The bread was fresh and toasted perfectly. Definitely go for the fries on the side.
The garlic spaghetti was quite flavorful and was exactly as it should be. Wonderful place for a relaxing dinner.
The ambiance was good. And the playlist was amazing!

Extremely unique place. Came here for a quick bite on a Saturday early afternoon. I highly recommend the Beiruit with chicken and Brazilian potatoes. It's the best dish. The walls tell a rich history of the Cafe and owner who has been here for YEARS and I love it. ❤ He loves sharing stories too if you ask him!

Best kept secret. I've lived near Ames most of my life and have never tried Cafe Beaudelaire. Based on a recommendation from a coworker, I decided to try it for lunch. I had the Cuban sandwich and wasn't disappointed! I look forward to returning and trying something different (and a long Island when I don't have to return to work).

Call me Guy and take me to flavortown!! I've never heard of Brazilian cafés until today. I had the chicken empenada and Brazilian burger & fries. The flavors are out of this world. Upbeat jazz music in the back ground and great mood lighting. Staff was prompt and polite. Have I mentioned how great the food is???

Cutest little place. Staff was relaxed but on top of it. Just got appetizer and a drink but they treated me like a queen anyway. Totally going back. All the time!

Got the yucca fries, beef Beirut sandwich and Brazilian burger as a Sunday lunch takeout. We were on a road trip from Albuquerque to St. Paul with 2 dogs and this was what worked for us but we would love to stay for dine-in next time, so we could get cocktails and enjoy the ambience! The food was delicious and exactly what we needed. So grateful for the takeout option!

This place has some of the best fries I've had anywhere, and the sandwich too was also made incredibly well. You can tell the chefs put a lot of effort into what they make, and it pays off in the taste.

The atmosphere of the place is also pretty nice, they have a ton of flags strewn across the walls and top of the bar - giving it a nice welcoming feeling.

In town for a work related conference, my wife & I checked out this great little place. Partly because of its great reviews and party because of my love for Brazil and its cuisine (I've traveled many times to this South American country). I started with the Argentine beef empanada. It was delicious, perfectly flavored beef in a crisp pastry with a tasty chimichurri. I also had the Brasilian burger. Wow! Quality beef perfectly cooked (pink) and everything that's packed onto a burger in Brazil, including a fried egg which gets kind of messy, but that's part of the deal. It was full of flavor! The Brasilian fries that come with it are delicious as well. My (vegan) wife had the Iron Vegetarian. She said it was incredible. Appreciating true Brasilian cuisine, this place did not disappoint. The service was great as well, quick and helpful (we went for lunch). I give this cool little spot a two thumbs up and high recommendation!

Cafe Beaudelaire (or just "Cafe B") is a small bar/restaurant on the corner of Welch and Lincoln directly across from the ISU campus. Cafe B tends to attract a more mature crowd compared to most places found in campus town. There is a decent drink and food menu, and everything on the menu is quite good. My favorites are the beef empanadas and the Brasilian burger. The famous Brasilian fries are just your typical steak cut fries, but served with mayo. Don't worry, the fries also come with ketchup too for those looking to have American fries. What we love about Cafe B the most is their weekend brunch menu. It's nothing fancy, but everything is just made so well. Service is always great, but parking can be an issue given Cafe B's location.

I wasn't sure what to expect, our son picked it, and it was really good! My wife and I both had the Bauru (chicken and black bean) and both were very good. Will definitely come back next time we're visiting our son.

The Brazilian Bauru was delicious! Just like it was when I first had it twenty years ago as a kid. It's an extremely filling and very flavorful meal for about $10. The atmosphere is hip and laid back. Good place for a late lunch or weekend brunch.
