I recently visited Wheatsfield Cooperative and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The selection of products was impressive, and I appreciated the focus on locally sourced and sustainable goods. The quality of the items I purchased exceeded my expectations, and I left feeling not only satisfied but also proud to support such a fantastic cooperative. I highly recommend Wheatsfield to anyone looking for high-quality products and a welcoming atmosphere.

Love supporting local, especially when it's this great of a store! So many diverse dietary friendly options and the vegan options on the hot bar/bakery/deli areas are delicious. We appreciate always having options!

Quite possibly the most awesome store in Ames. If they dont carry it, they can probably get it. Newly remodeled, extra friendly staff, places to lock up bikes, hot food bar, indoor/ outdoor seating, meat and seafood counters, etc.

I’ve had Challah from LA to NY but the Challah that comes out of the bakery fresh in Ames on Friday is by-far the ultimate BEST!! I love it 🥰 and everyone that tries it does too! Get it fresh out of the oven and it’s really super delicious 😋 I get two loaves because It goes fast. But if you have any leftovers it makes great French toast.

Great food selection and produce. Bakery and delicatessen part are amazing. Those cherry pies and mango chicken wraps and salads are to die for!!!

Today was the first time I have been here, and I really liked it. I've been on a journey of trying to eat healthier, and this place has it all. Yes, it's more expensive, but you're paying for better quality food..and weighing out your needs and wants because in reality it's better to spend the money on stuff that's good for you then junk with pesticides and god knows what else. I will definitely be back.

Like the sign at the entry says, more than just groceries. This is a very welcoming store.

There is a worker named Lydia, who was extremely kind and patient. In addition to helping me pick the products, she gave me advice on a dish I wanted to make. It's truly a nice place to shop and everyone is so kind 🧕🏼💖

It was my first visit and I went with my friend, who's a member. I have Celiac Disease among other food related issues. I was so happy to see such a variety of the good foods I can eat! Staff was helpful and our checkout person answered any questions I had. You're my new favorite store!

All natural or organic only. Great selections and shopping environment. Great natural food smell as always. Serves fresh sandwiches and coffee there. Love it!

For a Co-op, it's very nice. Good but small hot bar, salad, reasonably price. The staff is always helpful. Lots of local grown, and organic food. I visit from Florida, ans always stop here several times.

Good source of organic and fresh vegetables, flour and bread.

It is the great place if you want to get safe, healthy, trusty groceries. so much variety of foods and other stuffs.
people are very friendly too.

What a wonderful community treasure! Stopped in for lunch from their hot plates and salad bar. Wonderful selection of fresh, and delicious foods. Indoor seating is still unavailable due to Covid protocol, but everyone was super friendly, and there were some tables set-up outside to eat. Great food, great price, and a wonderful feeling that comes from supporting a local treasure.

This is the only grocery store in town that I actively enjoy visiting. All the others are fine, but this is where I go if I need one thing and can’t bring myself to go anywhere else. Best produce in town, and great variety of everything else. Their fresh baked bread is the best around, I recommend the focaccia on Saturday!

This place is simply amazing! Honestly, could spend more time and money here stocking up. I love how they always have chard. And, Sir Kensingtons gochujang everything sauce is something anyone who likes aioli/mustard must try!

Excellent selection of specialty, local and vegan food you can't find very easily elsewhere. Also natural cosmetics and cleaners. Great produce, fresh bread, vegan baked goods and local brews. Prices reasonable. So glad to have a store like this in Ames!

A nice selection of high-quality, environmentally-conscious foods and other merchandise. Not inexpensive, but a membership in the co-op gives you a decent discount. Helps support local growers and producers. Staff is great!
