Best Hotel in Ames, IA. I travel quite a bit, and I ALWAYS pick this hotel. The hotel staff are super nice. The continental breakfast is home cooked scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, and biscuits and gravy! The hot tub jets are the BEST!

If you have anything wrong with your room, the manager will bend over backwards to make it right. Love him!

A very nice home cooked breakfast restaurant is next door to this hotel as well. Super convenient.

The manager's entire family work their butts off to make this place awesome. Please show them some love and stay here! You won't regret it.

We usually come here in the winter to escape the cold but there must be new ownership since last year. From first contact on the phone when booking the room to checking in at the front desk, this gentleman was so helpful and kind. It's obvious that some remodeling is going on as well. He was quick to let us know that if we needed anything to not hesitate to ask. We've stayed here before and always liked it but a good staff makes a world of difference. Obviously the rooms are clean and the pool area looks great as well. We will continue to come back here year after year.

My boyfriend and I REALLY enjoyed our stay here. The staff is INCREDIBLY kind and attentive. The breakfast was always yummy, the rooms clean, the hot tub was amazingly relaxing, and the location of the hotel is great! They are located next to a couple restaurants (we tried El Azteca that was a 1 minute drive and was SO DELICIOUS), and close to Iowa State University/town life. I fully recommend staying here!

I work in Ames, yet live in Altoona. When the weather is bad, my company pays for my stays. I have multiple choices to stay, but I will always choose this place.

The rooms are clean. Has the amenities I need. TV actually has more than 13 channels (there is a newer hotel west of AmericInn whom only has that!) The breakfast is tasty in the AM.

Above the basics of leaving a review for a hotel, I always want to give a shout out to the staff! Everyone is always so kind, helpful & most importantly respectful!

Good service is hard to find. Man working on desk was Great service and also he is Hard worker This place was fantastic though. Hot shower in rooms .Staff was so nice and friendly. Nice hot hotel breakfast. Nice pool and hot tub. Rooms were clean and had Keurig. Nice shower. This is a nice area to stop with a lot of restaurants and a Wal Mart. Ames IA

Just like to say the staff at the AmerInn Ames were extremely pleasant to deal with, Very helpful, and greeted us by our first names whenever we came back into the motel. They are currently updating rooms and have the second floor done but the first floor is not yet. Motel is super duper clean and will definitely be staying there again next time we need a room in Ames?

We rolled in late around 10 pm and the staff were so energetically welcome and kind. They just so beyond nice to us when we were checking in so late.

It’s tough to find great old school customer service sometimes and this place really nails it.

Really clean, well kept hotel too. Comfortable beds. Safe feeling location. Easy and right off the freeway.

This hotel is amazing! I've stayed several time and have had nothing, but great service. The Hotel is being update new paint, carpet, and last year did new brick. The manager takes pride is this place and is a very kind knowledgeable person. He even took the time to help another Amerinn in Jackson, IA, when they could figure out how to do 2 CLC guest on one card!

We were traveling and just passing through didn't get there til late at night and the staff were so friendly! Very clean rooms, good breakfast options. The pool wasn't suppose to open til 9am but one of the staff noticed my kids begging to swim at 730 am and he opened the pool early for them overall great experience!

Love the management team!! Very accommodating and super nice. The swimming pool and whirlpool exceeded all my expectations. Would definitely recommend and will return.

Amazing Place!!
My 3 kids and I enjoyed a lot New Hot Tub and swimming pool. It was our best stay ever after Covid. I stayed for 3 nights during State Fair of Iowa.Front desk staffs are super friendly and helpful all time. Our room was clean and fresh. Breakfast was hot and lots of options. Highly recommended this place to family.

This place is a winner for this price!! Very clean and welcoming. The owners put all in it. I like the places when people care, and this is this kind of place ❤ we choose hotels by Wyndham for comfortable beds and this one was also very comfortable. But like not other hotels, this one was very, very clean. Big plus!
Sweeming pool and hot tub are great additions. The pool is 40, and the hot tub is 15 capacities.
Breakfast had good choices. The morning lady was running around to make sure all guests were satisfied and nothing was missing. We highly recommend this place 👌

I do not normally give reviews for services. Although, this AmericInn in Ames on 16th Street was an exceptional pleasant stay. The first impression I got when walking into the lobby was a "this is going to be a good experience" Sham (not sure if spelled right) is a very accommodating man! Pleasant, with a nice smile.
The room was very clean and inviting and provided a good night's sleep. Price wise, I'd say it fit my budget just fine, very reasonable!
Breakfast was just as good as the service was. I will probably never pass through there again. If I did, Would I stay there again? You betcha I would!

Stayed at AmericInn for an overnight visit. Very nice hotel. Manager is very helpful and friendly. Enjoyed the hot tub.
Great night sleep.
Will visit again.

Sham the manager of the hotel remembered us from last time we stayed.He’s very friendly and welcoming. He called us by our first name, when he saw us around the hotel. When Sham wasn’t there, the lady made sure everything was clean and looked nice in the lounge area, and was very friendly also. We’re definitely going to come back.

Price is really affordable.

I traveled here with my family and must say it is an amazing hotel. The staff are extremely nice. The service is great and the location is amazing. The food in the area is family friendly(budget friendly) and taste awesome. If traveling with kids this hotel will make you feel safe and reassured staying here. The beds are comfortable the rooms are clean. They has an amazing pancake house next to them. The Hot tub is so relaxing and I just love the pool. They have a laundry room in the hotel. Their free breakfast has the most amazing waffles as well. I would recommend this hotel especially if you are traveling with your family.

Our stay was great. We stayed for 5 nights here and it was a good experience. The only problem that i had was the tub. When someone would take a shower, the tub would drain really slow and would flood the tub. Otherwise a really good hotel to stay in!

I am a very demanding, picky traveler. And I go into each hotel ready to do battle to get all of my wants and needs met. This hotel with no different. I walked in, gave my list of demands, and to my very surprise, they accommodated me on every single item I had on my checklist. These people bent over backwards to make sure I was happy and satisfied. Any time I am in Ames I will insist that my company book me at this hotel. It was safe, secure, clean, friendly, welcoming and everything else I could have asked for. They greeted me and treated me like an old friend. And now we are.

You will not find a more kind and considerate staff, especially the manager/owner. They will do anything to make your stay more enjoyable and comfortable. I was there for many weeks while on the job. The pool and giant hot tub are first class! You will not be disappointed!
