Such a large selection of really nice beers. Very tasty. And the girls (staff) went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and helped us more than we asked for. We had a very good time there! This is the place to be if you are in the area looking for good beer!

Had a flight plus tried out the Irish Red. Out of the whole lineup, my favorite was the Dreambar. It is caramel and chocolatey. It tasted like a Reisen to me. As far as aesthetic, it's a very open space with soft lighting. The staff is friendly and willing to discuss flavors and beer styles with patrons. Don't know what you like? Ask for a sample or two. This would be ideal for big crowds, and they have party rooms as well. The bathrooms were clean and the tap room is well maintained. It's worth a stop if you're in the Ankeny area.

Good selection of brewed beers. Tends to be on the lighter side but that's what I like. They have trivia on Tuesdays which is always a good time. The place is clean and spacious. Acoustics and the audio video equipment could use an upgrade though.

Come for the beer, stay for the awesome tap room experience! Their tasting flights are a great way to try out some of their delicious options from the tried and true to the new to you. Check out their social media because on Friday they usually roll out some really unique infused flavor options, those are definitely worth the trip!

We very much enjoyed our evening at Mistress Brewing. I am not a beer drinker but the Mistress Mojito Mojo was one of the best drinks I've ever had; I had two plus we left with 2 six packs. Hubby loved the Jackie Brown. Food was great! We only ordered appetizers and it was very elevated bar food. I cannot recommend the Iowa Sushi Eggrolls enough as well as the Brat Tatchos.

I’ve been a long time fan of Mistress Brewing beer and was excited when I found out they were opening a taproom. I’ve been to the taproom several times since it opened last fall and I’m always impressed. The beer is outstanding with a more European feel than most. Having Fletcher’s to order food is super convenient too. I like the community focus with art featurig local artists .. and the giant big screen behind the bar doesn’t hurt. Highly recommend!

Mistress Brewing has a vary kind staff, you sit where you want and they give you a menu of 24-26 options of craft beer. They have "Core Beers" which will always be there and "Seasonal Favorites" which they switch out as soon as their kegs are up. So much parking opportunities and rumor has it they're going to have food (appetizers and sandwiches- all farm to table) they have an option of wine as well and a couple options come from The Cellar of White Oak and then there is the typical wines you purchase of the shelf at any store. There is outside seating which is pet friendly.

Love this place! Great selection of beers and they roll out new ones every time I go. Really convenient to have the Fletcher deliver food right to the table. With the private rooms, upper level and stage - there's something for every event. Wish Mistress would open another location in West Des Moines!

Stopped for a beer about a half hour before closing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had a milkshake double IPA that was nice, and also sampled the Mead they serve from a meadery in eastern Iowa. Very nice place with a LOT of room.

Nice place. Great staff. Beer is above average for a microbrew. They've recently begun to offer food and it's really tasty. A terrific place to chill!!

It was our first time trying their new food menu. We first tried the brat nachos.....could I suggest they should be called notchos? I don't mean this in a bad way. They just don't look like nachos. I should have gotten a photo, but they disappeared too fast. They consist of pretzel sticks with pieces of brat along with onion cheese and mustard Yum! A couple next to us asked what they were and said they would be ordering them next time in. We also tried the chili cheese dog flatbread. We weren't as impressed with them, didn't seem to have a good distribution of the ingredients, but would try them again.

There's plenty of beer on tap so you'll always find something you like! Staff is friendly and usually always something happening there! Nice open area and can bring the whole fam to play games or just hang out. Seriously one of my favorite places to go!

Came in on a Wednesday for a few flights. Waiter was extremely helpful. Apparently they had a comedy night and it was very awesome to be there for it. Beer was also great, definitely coming back.

What a pleasant surprise. We had time for one stop and we chose Mistress over Firetrucker. Love FT, but we can get it in dubuque. Oh man, did Mistress leave us wanting more. Great beers and a bonus, it was BINGO night. We had such a great time sampling their delicious beers and were plenty entertained after all day at the fair. We plan to go back! Their Black IPA was very good.

This is a regular stop for me. The place is extremely nice, has a great atmosphere, and friendly bartenders. My only gripe is that it is WAY too loud even when there is a small crowd and could highly benefit from sound deadening or dampening material installed. But, I love the beer selection especially the Boudica, Trummerfrau Hefeweizen, and Little Black Dress Black IPA...I see a lot of people complaining about the temp of the beer and the saying goes "If you have to drink your beer cold, you don't actually like your beer" as the colder you drink a beer, the more the more it diminishes the flavor. I prefer my beer less than cold so I can taste more of the nuances and subtleties. Aside from that I have never had any issues with their beer's carbonation levels any time I have been in. This place, in my opinion, is one of the top 5 breweries in the metro.

Great service! Kudos to making such a large space feel home-y and inviting. Sound management is great as there is not an overwhelming loudness or echo. Love Friday happy hours and their loyalty program.

Mistress has been a favorite for a long time. Now that the taproom is open is just more reason to drink their beer. Quality selection of beer that never disappoints. I would reccomend trying the red and black ipas along with the stout. All very solid. The newly opened taproom is spacious and elegant.

I'm not a local resident, but when I travel to DSM I always look for Mistress brews. Regardless of the style, they produce authentic beer that satisfies. When touring the brewery at its new location, I was shocked at the amount of care that goes into each part of the process, especially the water filtering system - so cool! Can't wait for my next visit (which is next week!!).

In this era of tiny house living & less is more Ankeny's Mistress Brewing Company stands out as a cavernous good time. Pick a secluded corner with couches to gather your friends for a visit, or order from the bar & play some well loved board games in the main area -- while keeping a watchful eye on multiple screens of sports. Entertainment ranges from live music & stand-up comedy to my favorite ALL NIGHT LONG karaoke featured 2/14/20 & every other Weds. Bring your friends & have a unique beer (I'm not a drinker, so look to another review for those details).
