and loved it! The first thing I noticed when walking in GPBC's doors the very first time in 2006, was the friendly atmosphere and outgoing nature of everyone there. That was very important for me, a young adult. The 'Journey' college age group is amazing, effective, and very personal. The sermons are expositiory, doctrinally sound, and Biblically accurate and very down to earth. Pastor Smith is a dedicated minister of God's Word who preaches unashamedly what the Bible teaches. The music is a great blend of praise and hymns with nothing loud like Christian rock and not stuffy like a church you'd see in Andy Griffith show. Sovereign Grace Music & Chris Tomlin are two common modern song authors. Blessed Assurance, A Mighty Fortress is Our God, and Great Is Thy Faithfulness are a few of the traditional songs played. And all songs are beautifully played by the orchestra often consisting of an organ, piano, vocalists, cello, guitar, violin, and at times, trumpet, tuba, and flute.
Of course every church will have disagreements and hypocrisy amongst members, but Grandview has been one of the few churches in my experience that has had very little comparatively.
Grandview is a member of the GARB Churches and consists of about 300 +/- attendees every Sunday morning.
I give Grandview a 5 out of 5 for Biblically sound and outgoing.
I only wish we had a Grandview out here in Los Angeles...
