The staff was very friendly! We went to get Valentine’s Day pictures taken. I appreciate that they do partnerships with local people and organizations. They also have a great selection of toys, treats and food. We picked up a toy that has turned into our pups favorite. We will definitely be back!

Pet food and toy advice: clothes, Wheatgrass, endless eye catching stuff and pet bakery bliss. This terrific staff has gone above and beyond for me and the rescue dog and cat I have needed guidance in caring for. Life savers I'd say and the German Shepherd and Calico cat I found abandoned would probably agree as well. 😻

The staff is extremely kind, helpful and we appreciate that their products are guaranteed. If something doesn't work for or dog or he doesn't like a toy, etc. you're able to bring it back and get something else. Definitely recommend Bone-A-Patreat!

I've been buying pet food using a corporate company with home delivery. Wanted to support local business. Friendly thoughtful and helpful staff and well stocked with varieties. And some specials saved me money by buying from them.

Oh my if I could give more stars I would. The 3 people there during our visit were beyond accommodating and friendly. We had our cat with us and they were knowledgeable and amazing as they found us plenty of samples to try for a kitty we have with a skin condition. They all pet our cat and were helpful in the layout and deals available. They gave us way more then we could ever ask for. It was the best experience I've had in a pet store. I will definitely be returning and with my other animals.

Bone-a-patreat is your one-stop-shop for all things pet related. Cannot say enough good things. Speaking from most frequented experience of the Des Moines location, although been to others on occasion and have always been serviced just as well.

I don’t know of another store where 1. You’re rewarded in loyalty cash to put towards future purchases, 2. You can take part in their bagged food program where you buy 12 bags and your 13th is free, 3. They offer to carry your bags out for you.

In addition, if there’s a certain product, or a brand they do not stock, they’ll happily custom order it for you! Nothing compares to their offerings, products + and customer service! They are the most knowledgeable team ever.

I've been shopping here for more than 5 years for a reason! They have a really good selection of high quality pet foods that the bigger stores don't carry. They also have a good selection of toys and treats. The staff is really friendly, and when we switched my dog's food to a different brand they were very helpful and knowledgeable about what would be similar to what he'd been eating. In fact, 5-6 weeks later I came in to get another bag, and the staff member not only remembered me but asked how the new food was working out.
