Heartland Animal Hospital

We have had such a great experience at Heartland Animal Hospital. All of the staff are so kind and helpful. Our dog is entering into her senior years and has had some challenging new conditions. Our vet helped us problem-solve alongside Iowa State. They even took extra time to explain some of the Iowa State results that were written in medical jargon. Thank you Heartland for the amazing work you do for our pets. We love you.

We have been using Heartland and Dr. Prescott for years! She was so kind when our Labrador had to be put to sleep and now we have a new kitty and the staff and Dr. Prescott are the only place I'd go to for all and any veterinary needs you have. Great Job Everyone!!!

Everything has been fantastic with Heartland. From the moment I first called to seeing the Vet tech and the Vet, I couldn't be more pleased. Prices are very fair and they took the time to explain everything in detail for a first time client. My one year old mini golden doodle is in good hands at Heartland. One visit is all it took for me to know where I'll be going from now on, Heartland for the win.

The front staff is always so happy to see our puppy. During emergencies I can always count on them to do their best. They make having a dog easier somehow and I really appreciate it♡♡♡

I recently had to have them help me with my beloved cat, Dewey, as he passed on to heaven. I've never been so grateful to my mother-in-law for recommending this office. They have taken superb care of our elderly cats. They genuinely care about every patient they treat, be it emergency, serious diagnosis, or just a check up. Their prices are reasonable, and they sell several different kinds of Rx pet food in house for VERY good prices.

I've been taking my puppy to Heartland Animal Hospital for almost a year now and have always had a great experience. They are very responsive and even have text messaging options to get advice and ask questions. The staff are knowledgeable and absolutely love my dog. He gets excited every time we pull into the parking lot. They go above and beyond to make sure he is taken care of and my questions are answered. They do all of this for some of the most reasonable prices I've ever had from a vet, and they're willing to provide coupons and rebate codes to make it even more affordable. By far the best vet's office I've ever experienced.

I absolutely love Heartland Animal Hospital! A coworker of mine recommended them for my pup’s care and I have been blown away since day 1. They’re super easy and flexible to work with and really put the animals first. I’ve recommended them to friends who are just as impressed as I am! I love when the vet tech remembers my dog when we come! I also love that they send home report cards when they see the vet! I cannot rave enough about Heartland. They’re amazing.

Our pets (cats and puppy) have been seen at Heartland for the past ~7 years. The veterinarians/staff are all incredibly kind and knowledgeable. They respond so quickly to any questions; they work efficiently to get your pet seen, especially when it’s more urgent. They always check-in following surgeries, vaccines, etc. I wouldn’t take my pets anywhere else.

Dr. Prescott was incredibly friendly and helpful with new dog owner advice. The vet tech was also very nice and helpful, and so was the front desk lady. Price was reasonable and the new dog owner packet was very informative. I'm not living in the area, was visiting family, but if I did live in Des Moines they'd be my full time vet.

I love heartland! The staff are super polite and helpful. I've never had a bad vet here, either. Highly recommend! Service is a little expensive, but not crazy, and it's worth it considering how consistent their care is!

Love our team at Heartland-- they are professional, caring and beyond competent. They recently had to perform a minor surgery on our 14 year old kitty- and we were thankful they kept us updated by phone along every step of the way. I especially appreciated their timely follow up when we had aftercare questions. Such great peeps! Thank you!
