Sammi, maria, john, and Brandon were so attentive and so knowledgeable about all of the beers they have on draft! I definitely recommend this place for anyone who enjoys craft beer. They were nothing but super kind! LOVE THIS PLACE! Also the double Des Moines imperial IPA is AMAZINGGG! Picture featured below!

Always a great time. Lots of different styles of their beers are always available. When it’s stout month you should go (mostly) dark! They have a gorgeous patio that is just a short walk away from Grays Lake park and the bike trails.

Confluence Brewery is a great place for great local beer! It’s right off the bike trail- with a patio - and a food truck most nights.

Amazing experience. Loved the patio and live music. So many beer options and they were all very tasty. Fun taproom, great art. Highly recommend. We came in from KC and are already talking about a trip back for Confluence

Awesome place. I had some time to kill and I got here when they first opened. I had the Extinction Event, a really nice hazy IPA. They didn’t have a kitchen for food but they did have pretzels with some pretty interesting flavors that were delicious. I’d love to come back here when I have more time.

Great local brewery, excellent selection of beers on tap (or for purchase to go), good service and a live band (5 Below) this time around. Always something entertaining happening at Confluence. Definitely worth the visit if you’re in the area.

Fantastic brewery! Very clean and such a variety of beers! The menu shows you the different styles of beer. I had the pineapple banana coconut wizard beer which is a great sweet beer! It looks like they have different beers at different seasons. This was a great spot after walking the 2 miles gray lake trail!

Came here tonight with a group of friends. Great place, great beer!!! One of the bartenders completely ignored my group, was flirting with some guy, and reaching across the bar and eating food off his plate. The other bartender Sammy seemed to be picking up all her slack. Even with an absent bartender we still had a good time!

Getting to Confluence Brewery is easy. Just follow the bikes. Once you get to the bar and see the fresh beers on tap, you'll look to your left and see the vats where they brew. It. ALL. They have a lot of variety and it's all brewed right there. So next time you want to exercise here is what you do:
From downtown: Get on the Meredith Trail (bike, walk, jog or skate) until you get to Grays Lake park. Take a few minutes to enjoy the scenery, the sound of the water and beauty of the wildlife. Then you hang a left and you're in rewardTown, or Confluence Brewery. Get your liquid bread and pat yourself on the back for exercising. You earned it. And you're supporting the local economy too. Good job, you. Be careful on your way home.

I'm a hop snob, growing my own hops on trellises in southwest Iowa. Been a huge fan of Sierra Nevada, Stone, and Laughing Dog. When I encountered Confluence's Des Moines IPA - Double Dry Hopped, it instantly became my number one. What a perfect balance of subtle but not overwhelming sweetness with a crisp wet hoppiness that doesn't overwhelm. Getting this balance right is insanely tough.

Got to tour Confluence and was even more of a fan. What a fantastic operation, with a passion for innovation. They may be Iowa's best microbrewery but I'm telling my boys at Sierra Nevada, you've got one hell of a competitor nipping at your heels!

This place was amazing. They had 35 different beers on tap. Way too many to choose from. But that's not a bad thing. Beer was good and creative. Staff was fantastic and it was not very busy.

Great local brewery. Convenient location as it is right outside of downtown. Large selection of beer in multiple varieties. The beer is great and the staff is too! The beer from Confluence is easily one of the best in the state of Iowa. In addition to a great taproom, atmosphere and beer they also have many of their beer available in cans.

An amazingly large beer selection in a warehouse type environment. You can smell the hops and grains from the brewmasters behind the scenes as well. Highly recommend!

Always enjoy the variety of beer here and there's a flavor for every palate! Love the patio seating when it's warm out!

Every time we visit Confluence we know we're in for a great experience. Amazing beers, tons of variety, can't ask for much more.

Hands down the most innovative brewery I've visited in Des Moines. The beer is awesome and the Brewer isn't afraid to add a special artisanal twist to the brews. I haven't disappointed in any of the beers I've tasted so far. As for location, it's amazing! Come hang out inside it on the back deck.
