VanWeelden has roofed and sided my homebuilding company for over a decade and also has done work for me personally. Excellent service, response time, very professional. The team at VenWeelden Roofing wowed us from start to finish. Matt - the Production Manager we worked with - walked us through a detailed and line itemed quote step by step. He kept us updated on when our re-roofing project would start and what the process would look like. The sizable roofing crew was professional and hard working and are clearly expert craftsmen. Matt again checked in with us throughout the day and conducted a final walkthrough after the roof was done. When we got storms the first night, Matt checked in again to make sure everything was to our satisfaction and to make sure no repairs were needed. On top of being pleased with our new roof, i think the communication and follow through on our expectations is what impressed us the most about working with VanWeelden Co. 10 out of 10!

Brad and his crew installed our roof this fall, and I cannot recommend this company highly enough. After meeting with a host of Des Moines roofing companies, we chose to work with Van Weelden, and we are nothing but pleased with that decision. Brad took exceptional care in helping us decide which product to use, he answered an insane number of questions, and he was on site throughout the project to make sure everything was running smoothly. The team was prompt, hard-working, and very tidy from start to finish. I wish all home improvement endeavors ran as beautifully as the one we contracted with Van Weelden Company! We had our house resided and painted by Brad Weelden Co. We selected them because: 1) a neighbor had a positive experience with the company, 2) their bid was similar to the ones we received from other companies, and 3) the Matt Montange, company representative was knowledgeable and responsive to our particular concerns.
The work was scheduled to meet our needs and was completed quickly. Any final concerns we had were corrected to our satisfaction. The exterior of our house looks great and should remain that way for a long time!

We had moved into a home in November and by January we were experiencing water damage and ongoing issues with our deck. After receiving three local bids from James Hardie preferred contractors, there was no question we felt the most comfortable going with Van Weelden Company. Since we had resided our last home with James Hardie cement board, we had some ideas of how we wanted the process to go. Any expectations we had were beyond exceeded by Matt and his crew. Everyone was kind and courteous. We frequently had questions and they were always answered promptly. The communication was stellar - we had an initial timeline, I knew when each crew was going to be present (siding, deck, gutters), and Matt would personally check in regularly on site but was also available via email and text. This experience was even enjoyable, watching our house transform as each detail was considered and addressed. When the time comes for roofing or any other exterior need, we will absolutely be going with Van Weelden Company with no hesitation or reservations. Of note, our neighbors went with one of the other companies for some exterior work a few weeks after us. Her unfortunate stories and overall experience confirmed we made the absolute right decision in choosing Van Weelden Company.

Upon completion of construction they followed up on each of our concerns during final inspection. The 'fairy tale' started when I contacted the President of Renewal By Anderson, 'Dave'. At one time, his company, Renewal was in the siding business and I needed help finding a good one. Dave explained that he has only ONE referral and it was BRAD VAN WEELDEN Company. He told me he would make a call to them and hopefully, they will call me back. With NOT good experience dealing with contractors, I was a bit shy on same. Within TEN minutes, I received a telephone call from a Matt M. with Van Weelden Company. WHAT? Really? Goodness sakes, I was excited and an appointment was set up shortly after that. After meeting with Matt M. there was absolutely no doubt in my mind that this was the one! Thus, my journey began. It was by far, the most fabulous, exciting moments of construction EVER. And believe me, my remodel had been going on for two years.

Matt M was superb in communication with me during it all, explaining each step as it was happening. And anytime I called him with a question, he was there for me.

My only regret was that I wished I had the Brad Van Weelden Company for my entire home. Since that wasn't possible, at least I was able to have my siding experience with them. They truly are a TOUGH ACT TO FOLLOW. Rose L Des Moines

We were extremely pleased with Brad VanWeelden Co. They re-roofed our house and replaced our vinyl siding with James Hardie Siding. Matt, the production manager, visited daily to check on the work being done, and was happy to answer all of our questions. We have never had a project run so smoothly. The results exceeded our expectations. We could not be more satisfied.

Van Weelden took on a large job for us (new roof, siding, gutters, and windows) but the work was done quickly and beautifully. The contractors were professional and kept us informed of each stage of the project. Highly recommend.

Van Weelden Co installed a synthetic deck for us a few yrs ago, and recently did a re-side of our house + window/slider swap-out. Well-organized; professional; timely and responsive. Finished product met all expectations. We happily recommend them to others.

Matt Montangue from Brad van Weelden Co. acted as our general contractor on a major rehabilitation of our twelve year old home. The original builder had neglected to construct the home with TIVEK, a critical insulating material. The result was that water had seeped in behind ALL the Hardyboard and windows in the home. Also, the raised wooden deck was rotting and needed to be replaced with concrete. Last, we needed to to repair major portions of our driveway and have some landscaping improved.

Our experience with our complex project using Brad van Weelden as the general contractor was exceptional..They kept us fully apprised of the status of the project, ensured that the sub-contractors stayed on the project's critical path and within the overall budget. Best of all--NO SURPRISES! They have come back several times since to make sure that the quality of the work has withstood the last difficult winters in the Midwest. So far, no problems in this exceptionally managed project. Kudos to the company.

Worth every penny! DaVinci shingles are beautiful and Brad is an amazing communicator! I usually never respond to these kind of surveys, but in this case it would be wrong not to.We almost took a different route in order to save a few bucks. I remember my husband said, "Do we really need to have the best of the best shingles on our roof?...doesn't it all end up looking the same?" The practical, money-saver that I am submissively agreed.
Then we took a long walk around our house and started driving through neighborhoods, paying special attention to everyone's roofs. I started to take mental notes of what I wanted and didn't want in a new roof. From a design perspective, I loved how our current cedar shakes looked and the DaVinci shingle was a close match. My husband wondered what kind of work crew would be willing to handle some other nagging issues on our roof (like removing the dish and working with our contractor for better ventilation). We soon realized that a lot more goes into a new roof than what we initially thought
Let me tell ya, those few bucks we almost saved? It would have been the stupidest savings ever! Now that our new DaVinci shingles are on, I can't stop staring at how gorgeous our roof looks. The crew was the most hard-working, efficient crew I've ever had the privilege of partnering with. I hope whoever reads this takes the time to carefully weigh their options and considers working with VanWeelden Co.

We used Brad Van Weelden Co for siding, roof, and windows. The quality of workmanship was outstanding. They were also great with my 5 and 7 yr old boys who liked to watch and ask questions. Pricing was fair. We will use them again for future projects.
