Dr Schmidt is very caring and will not waste your time or money. She personally called me to answer my questions when I called in with concerns for my pet. She takes her time with you and your animal. She was very empathic and thorough when our beloved guinea pig was very ill. When it was time to let him go, she made the process so much easier. I couldn't recommend her enough for your small/exotic pets. We have had such a good experience with her for the care of our guinea pigs.

The care that my cats recieve from the nurses and doctors is amazing at the Ankeny Veterinary Clinic.

Staff were very welcoming and attentive. Was nervous about finding a new vet clinic, but am very pleased I went here. They show genuine compassion for pets and followed up to see how my cat was doing after the visit. Will definitely be returning here for all of our veterinary needs.

Our sweet Zoey got stung by a bee and had a reaction the following day. Every person that I spoke with was very kind. They also had us in and out quickly. Our family won't go anywhere else. I highly recommend!!

The staff at the clinic are wonderful, even with Covid measures, I still felt like I and my fur baby were well cared for, questions answered, and our needs met. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and went the extra step to make us feel like we were their only visitors.

They treat My standard poodle Louie with the most respect. Every issue is resolved so you know they care. They serve animals with care and love and my dog has always left healthier with a little extra help from Ankeny Veterinary Clinic.

We've been taking our two dogs to this clinic for two years now, but we recently moved from Ankeny to Grimes, and got a kitten. The kitten had pink eye, and I felt that since the kitten couldn't see out of one eye that it really needed to see a veterinary specialist right away. Since Grimes is closer I called two of the closest vet clinics and they both told me that they wouldn't be able to get me in for 3-4 days. Ankeny Vet Clinic is always busy, but they got me in within an hour after I called them! They are always professional, and they really do care about your animals. Thank you all for everything, and we will continue using you guys for all of our animals!

The Ankeny Vet Clinic is hands down the best place to take pets in the area. The facilities are updated and clean, the vets are top notch, and the prices are super fair. The Riordan brothers (Dr. Dennis and Dr. Terry Riordan) are especially friendly and knowledgeable. They explain every diagnosis and procedure to me, and I never feel rushed or unappreciated. I highly recommend this clinic!

This vet clinic was amazing!! Called at 8 am on Christmas Eve, got an appointment for 9 the same day! Super professional and friendly. We will definitely be coming back!

Awesome i had a very old and sick cat. He was a insulin dependent cat for 6 years and finally things went down hill. One of the vet doctors lisa was so caring and kind helped me say goodbye with all the love and passion for me and my fur baby and her loving her job. Thank you.

This was my 1st time for being there. I adopted a cat from the ARL on April 25th and had Moo's ARL Wellness Exam on May 15th.

Extremely helpful and twice now we've had to call them due to our dog being extremely sick and both times they squeeze us in the same day. I've interacted with two of the vets and they do seem caring and not just doing a ton.

Love love love! Vet comes into the room for exam and treatments, treats us and our pups with respect and love. Sadly, we had a new pup get hit by a car. The vet took loving care of our dying pup, took it home to care for it, and understand and treated our grief with understanding and respect.
