I wanted to get a second opinion, I’m so grateful I did! Oceans previous vet was not looking out for my cats best interest $$. We had the best experience at Healing Paws. I couldn’t of asked for a better group of compassionate people to assist us in ending his suffering. Thank you for all you do, it truly makes a difference. My family and I will be forever grateful.

Dr Rausner always goes above and beyond to make sure your pets are taken care of and healthy. We are so lucky to have such a great vet in the Ankeny area.

Have 4 pets (2 cats and 2 dogs) that have been patients for a couple years. Vets, techs and receptionists always friendly and professional. Eager to provide documents when requested. The only downside is that it is sometimes difficult to get appointment because they are busy and so popular.

They took great care of my fur babies. So happy to have found a vet that my older dachshund can feel comfortable around. She tends to be a "problem patient". Thankful to have established care with them!

I can’t say enough good things about this clinic! The staff is amazing! We found him when our Golden ret. was very sick and we needed help, he was willing to come to our house and he helped us with him clear til the end! Dr and staff were amazing! We now take our new puppy to him and he is still so amazing to our family! I will never go to another vet!! This place is amazing!! I can’t thank them enough for s the care they give our furry family members!

I am convinced that Healing Paws is the best Veterinary Clinic out there! They are very quick to respond and always so helpful. The whole team is extremely personable, knowledgeable, and kind. We have only had good experiences here! Not to mention, my puppy absolutely LOVES going to the vet. Thank you, Healing Paws!

They did very, VERY well with my easily terrified, and often not cooperative, cat. I greatly appreciated their advice and they communicated every decision with me 100%. My cat is scared of leaving my house alone, so you can imagine her excitement for the ride and exam and shots!

They have great reviews for a reason and they're definitely my go to vet. They're also doing a wonderful job of providing a great experience while taking precautions due to covid, and it's good to see they care about the health and safety of their staff, clients, and our sweet fur babies ❤

We absolutely love this veterinary clinic! Dr. Rauser and the staff are caring and take the time to get to know your pets while providing excellent medical care. Our dog is very scared of people and they take the time to slowly approach him in the room. We have also had to euthanize a beloved cat and they were wonderful through that process. Absolutely the best vet clinic we have ever had!

If I could give Healing Paws 20 stars I would. Dr.Rauser and all the staff is so amazing. They take the time with your pet and fully check them thoroughly to ensure proper care. I’ve never been to a vet clinic with such good people. Thank you to you all for what you do everyday for our fur babies! They are very reasonable in pricing. Dr. Rauser and staff really care about your pet and ensuring they’re as healthy and happy as possible. He’s willing to try different approaches in caring for your pet if the first one doesn’t work. Willing to answer any and all questions you might have and admits when he doesn’t know an answer right away (though that’s not too often!). He’s great with cats AND dogs!

Great vet and wonderful staff. Always takes time to listen and explain everything. They are willing to work us in when something unexpected happens. We are very pleased with the care our dogs receive from them.

Both my Dog and Cat love Dr Rauser and all the staff: They have been there for us when our new puppy Gracie cut a tendon in her front foot on broken glass on a weekend and when our cat got a urinary blockage. Rusty our cat is totally at home in their office on visits and really likes the staff.
They are the best.

This place is wonderful, very caring. When we we had to put our pet to sleep due to illness, they had a very nice service. On a happier note - they have been fantastic with our new puppy :)

I've never been there before so this is based on a one-time experience, which was great. We had found a stray and needed to check for a chip. They were kind enough to come outside to the car with the chip reader and gave us a nexgard to help with the fleas I had observed on the dog at no charge (free sample). They gave us information on places we could go and options, like non-emergency police number to pick up the dog should we need it. They were kind, efficient, and knowledgeable and I appreciated their assistance. Again, it was a one-time visit, but the experience was extremely nice.

Healing Paws Vet Clinic is the best in the area! A great family business. We trust them with our 3 cats and our dog -- Dr. Rauser is very gentle with all of them, and he makes the experience as easy as possible for them and us! We don't really shop for low-priced vet service, but we got lucky here -- the best people, the best service, AND great prices!
