This place gets five stars because everyone here was so friendly! Two girls and one guy with a cool mushroom shirt All were super informative.
It’s not a typical co op but then again the only other co op I been to was Ashland Oregon which was huge. Very small selection here, nothing really here for my vegan gluten free needs. Only left with a great chapstick.

This place operates couldn't be possible without folks passionate about real food, supporting local growers, & connecting community to fresh produce & local made products.

Highly recommend stopping by to say hello to this faithful & friendly crew & undoubtedly you too will walk away feeling inspired to return while being thankful for folks who have boots on the ground, toiling the good earth & making delicious & nutritious food miracles + providing them for their community members.

This is truly a treasure of authentic Iowa produced food. The product is available online for easy ordering. It can be picked up locally here in Des Moines. Gary the GM Has developed a great network of food providers in the state of Iowa and you could get it all right here ! I picked up some great honey and creamy butter all made right here in Iowa!

Sell Iowa grown produce, meats, dairy, prepared foods, personal care products, etc. It's a cooperative that supports small farmers, producers & our local economy by providing 85% of the sale price of goods back to the sellers. Environmentally contentious and supportive of sustainability. Sell vegan & gluten free products as well.

Authentic Mexican food. Tasty unique street tacos. Chips and guacamole are fantastic. My new go to place for Mexican food.

we just got our order for this week an tried WW HOMESTEAD DAIRY's aged sharp cheddar and mild cheddar. what a pleasure to find such great cheeses. hope many of you will try this. we are cheese lovers! now if we could just find a great swiss!

Distribution team was super helpful and started pulling my order while I waited outside. Everyone was respectful about social distancing and wearing masks. So happy ro have GF foods and other great producta feom Iowa producers!

Always a good experience here. I've been coming to pickup a prepaid order for a friend the entire pandemic -- never a cause for concern. Great people!

The Iowa Food Cooperative is a wonderful place to get farm fresh, healthy local food. Food that is grown in Iowa. I have been a member for 5 years and never had any issues.

They have the products I want, are open a couple times a week and I don't need to be a member to shop. Very happy to have them in my neighborhood.

Wow, the spiral cut ham from Story Farm Meats was fantastic! Great locally sourced foods.

This place is super amazing. You place an order on line and pick it up. The place survives on volunteers and that group of people are amazing. Get a membership and join us.

I've been gratefully and regularly shopping local through the IFC for 10 years now. I seriously don't know what I would do without it -- it's almost one stop shopping! <3
