I had an Amazing first massage experience at East Village Spa with Vianey. I highly recommend the 60-minute EV Signature Massage, which was a satisfying length of time. Vianey was professional, personable, courteous, and a good listener and communicator. The massage was fluid, relaxing, warm, and essentially full-body. The applied pressure was appropriate, and she periodically checked in and was attentive to specific areas. Loved the hot stones and towels! The table and sheets were so nice and comfortable. The staff were inviting, and the music, lighting, and atmosphere were peaceful, modern, clean, and new. As someone self-conscious of body care, I felt completely at ease and had the best experience. Thank you!

While it's not as often as I wish, every visit here is such a delightful, relaxing experience - from the easy booking and check-in, welcoming front desk team and AMAZING massage therapists! I especially appreciated how cognizant they were ensure my massage wasn't one size fits all. Very tailored to you. Thank you EV Spa!

From beginning to end, my appointment with East Village Spa was fantastic. It was very easy to book online, the front desk staff were very friendly and check in was easy. My massage therapist Thea was amazing and extremely professional. I had my first prenatal massage and would highly recommend Thea and East Village Spa if you are looking for a way to relax!

I had a massage earlier this week by Vianey and a facial by Blaire…both were 10/10! My massage was so relaxing and the perfect amount of pressure. My facial was equally relaxing and Blaire recommended some great products that I’m loving. I’ll be back soon!

This was the only spa in the metro that I could find that has a pregnancy exclusive facial. My overall experience was 10/10. Allie, the esthetician, was extremely sweet, gentle, and knowledgeable. The pregnancy flow facial was very relaxing and left my skin feeling plump and rejuvenated. The other workers and receptionist were also very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this spa! :)

My trip to the East Village Spa is easily my favorite day of the month. I am a regular for massages and facials and I am consistently amazed by the kind staff and exceptional service. You can’t go wrong visiting this Des Moines gem.

Blaire was knowledgeable, kind, and patient with all of my questions during my first facial! She did an amazing job and made sure to use products for sensitive skin. I would definitely recommend her and East Village Spa.

I have been a client here for years, they are extremely professional & customer focused. Their therapists are extremely knowledgeable & offer a wide range of services. They also offer a variety of types of therapists, depending on your need. Every massage I’ve had there has been fantastic. The facility is very clean & they have a great selection of products for sale. The app is very slick & easy to use. They take Covid very seriously, which I respect & appreciate greatly.

I had a great first experience at EV Spa! I got the seasonal Forest Berry full body massage, and it was amazing. The environment was so cozy and relaxing, and my massage therapist, Soraya, made me feel completely at ease. The complimentary tea and chocolate afterward was the cherry on top of a perfect experience. I’ll definitely be back!

I cannot say enough good things about East Village Spa. I have seen multiple massage therapists and they have both been incredible and professional, but the massage was also affordable. I always know that I am going to have a good experience there. I love that they are LGBTQ-affirming- if you are an LGBTQ person and need a safe place for a massage, I highly recommend East Village spa-it is absolutely a safe space!

Soraya did absolutely phenomenal! For such a little person she can really apply some pressure which was so, totally needed for this pregnant mama!! Thank you Soraya, you left me feeling like jello in the best way possible!

First time here and couldn't be more impressed. From the friendliness of the front desk staff to Vianey my therapist. She checked periodically to make sure i was ok and was very good at her craft. I will definitely be back in the future.

Adore this spa so much! The staff is experienced and knowledgeable. They are professional, caring and meticulous about safety, cleanliness and clients' individual health needs. Also love that it's a local, woman-owned business!

I always ask for Glo. She knows just how to work out the kinks in my back particularly. Overall, the whole spa is very clean and everyone is very friendly

I love this place! I've been going here for the last three+ years and will not get a massage or wax anywhere else. The staff is courteous and professional. They know a lot about the products they are using which makes me feel very comfortable. The spa is clean and atmosphere is relaxing. Another big plus is the online booking! It's pretty easy to book a service and you can do it at any time. They will send a text or email before your appointment to confirm. I would recommend this spa to family, friends, whoever!

Update.... 2 years after my initial review and I still love this place. I've never had a bad experience and the service is fantastic.

The staff was so pleasant. Holly was amazing, both as a person and a masseuse. Very personable. She also advised in self care between massages. I don't live in Des Moines, but if I did I would definitely return!

I just LOVE East Village Spa. I've been coming for years for massage, and have always had excellent experiences.
Every massage therapist I've seen has been outstanding, but I have to give a special shout out to Conny for being so attentive, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable. She's helped me in so many ways!

- Amazing menu of services, they have something for everyone.
- Super friendly, caring, and helpful staff.
- Rooms are quiet, clean, and comfortable.
- Great selection of self-care products to shop before/after your appointment. I most recently picked up some CBD soaking salt, but I've also gotten soaps, massage oil, lip balm, and more in the past.
- Rotating fruit/herbal infused water in the lobby before your service and the little chocolates at check out are a very sweet and much appreciated touch.
