This park is close to my home and where I go to find peace and quiet. It's in the middle of the city, but you're surrounded by beautiful landscaping and gardens cultivated by the neighborhood. I've lived the area my entire life and have enjoyed watching the park and landscape grow! Love my neighborhood!

"Community" garden plots available to individuals, only $25 annually... with water, compost, soil, and mulch provided! Full sun exposure. Ample parking. Borders prairie area via bike trail going through beautiful cemetery with forested spots and pond... Next to community center and library :)

A lovely park in NW Des Moines. Has tennis courts and basketball court. Lots of soccer here. There is a shelter house and water park with restrooms. Also known as Tower park due to the water tower.

The garden there is very nice and the outdoor exercise equipment is fun to use with your kids.
