Friedrichs Coffee

First time getting to try Fredrick’s Coffee. The service was quick and friendly. I though roughly enjoyed the loose tea selection and baked goods.

Great cup of coffee! Located in a unassuming strip mall, this spot has some of the best coffee in Des Moines. The staff are very friendly and they know how to pull a great shot of espresso. Give this place a look!

Hands down the best coffee and coffee shop in Des Moines!!! There is no close second. Very much enjoy chilling inside the University shop with a turtle mocha (hot or iced), good music and a GREAT staff. The quality in-store is always consistently great, never been disappointed. And, they make the Beaverdale/Drake area that much better. And as you can see from the picture, we enjoy the experience at home as well. Again, there is NO close second!!!

Had some delicious coffee and picked up a few bags of loose tea. Great deal and it's super delicious. It's small but in a charming way. Very clean, staff was good about suggesting drinks. Service was fast - so many people were in and out in the short time we were there. There was never a long wait after you ordered. Definitely going back.

Wonderful staff. Fun seasonal lattes and daily blends; loose leaf teas and smoothies also. I like the "peachy panther "smoothie a LOT. Oh, and those cinnamon rolls! 😻 Art displays change frequently and a lot of different styles of art make the environmenta bit different every month...cozy atmosphere.

Great cup of coffee. There was live music and a mini out door market out front on Saturday. It was a fun vibe. And the coffee was good!

waited 10 minutes and the barista girl didnt even get started on my coffee… so i told her to forget my coffee and left

must’ve been casual friday as she was in hurry at all, moving slowly, walking around, chatting with cashier. i appreciate hardworking people and im very patient in those cases - but this barista wasnt even trying. will wait a while before i visit this location again

I really like Friedrichs, to me, it's among Des Moines' best local spots. They always have unique seasonal drinks but without skimping on the quality of the coffee itself.

I stop by every morning I love the place and the service is Amazing. He knows exactly how I like my coffee definitely a great way to the start of my day!!!

I've been going here for years. Hands down my favorite coffee shop in DSM. Their turtle mocha and Chai frappe are the bomb.

These shops are definitely the best independently owned ones in the state. They roast their own beans and have the best tasting specialty drinks. Definitely check them out if you're a coffee lover!! They also have a great selection of loose leaf teas and cofee/tea accessories.

Great coffee, highly recommend. Newly renovated interior. More modern look and items to choose from.

The inside of the shop is so cute! I love the apparel and candles they sell. I ordered a hot white mocha and it was one of the best I’ve ever had, plus the staff was so friendly. I’ll definitely be back.

Hands down, Friedrich's is the best coffee shop in town. The staff is knowledgeable & friendly. They have their art down pat! This is one of my fave locations! Right on the way to everywhere in DSM!!!

Only at this shop once in a blue moon due to living location being far away but when I’m out here they’re always so friendly. I can never remember the woman’s name but of course I ran into her again today (wearing orange shirt if she can get Recognition) and as always the biggest smile and always able to pick up a swift and pleasant conversation making you feel right at home.

Consistently great coffee, great atmosphere and great staff. Adam, Liz and all the crew make you feel welcome and appreciated. Friedrich's has been my favorite place to be for years.

This coffee shop is the best. They bend over backwards for their customers.

The staff is super friendly! What makes them amazing is helping me pick out a drink that would work with some of my diet restrictions. Its really intimidating to sort and debate and they had no issue engaging with the conversation and helping out.

Great local chain. Their espresso seems to be a little bolder than other places. You can buy whole beans and loose leaf tea here. This location is a little smaller than the others, but is just as nice.

Wonderful local coffee. Whole beans available (Swedish blend is personal favorite). Pastries and other items available as well. I go several times a week.
