My 2nd time here. I come when I'm in town. Our server Hanna and manager on duty Joe were so great. Very personable with light conversation. The food is always excellent. Who would have thought to grill romaine lettuce and it would be so delicious. Along with the lamchops and eggplant bruschetta, the meal was excellent.

My boyfriend and I were referred here by his car salesman while we were in the area for a purchase. Wow, is all I can say! The food and service were amazing. I had the oysters as an appetizer and the lamb chops as my entrée. My boyfriend had the spicy seafood pasta.Their lamb chops were so good my boyfriend ate half of mine, and we had to order a second entrée of lamb. Seriously, if you are in Springfield, try them out. You won't be disappointed!

Nice restaurant, everybody is polite. The food it’s good. We ask pasta and fresh and grilled oysters, they were fresh and good. Also the roasted acorn squash, it is soooo good.

We were invited here for a friend's surprise birthday party. We had never visited this place before, but it was absolutely wonderful.

Our server was friendly and attentive to our needs. The Eggplant Bruschetta was to die for! The various Olive oils for the bread were delicious. I ended up going to Roberts Seafood and buying some for at home. The Grilled Caesar salad had the best flavor I've ever tasted.

We ordered the Linguine Alfredo and let me tell you it was by far the best Alfredo I have ever had. We also tried the filet which was juicy and flavorful.

We finished off with the Spiced Pear Cheesecake. My husband doesn't like cheesecake, but he loved this one. This was the creamiest cheesecake I have had and it was so good!

Definitely a location for special occasions, but we will for sure be back!

Delicious food! We shared grilled squid for the appetizer- spicy! I had pasta primavera (the noodles were a little over cooked but the sauce was delicious!). My husband had linguine Alfredo and my mom had spicy seafood sauce - both yummy! The wait staff was very attentive! The decor is hip modern. Highly recommend!

Went out on a double date and had the absolute best experience. This was the second time we all went out there and our server was Nikki both times. She was absolutely amazing. Our water glasses were always filled, our table was always cleared, she did very well at recommending foods/drinks. I could type out so much more. We all can’t wait to go back. Will be asking for Nikki next time.

They were wonderful and accommodating of my every need. So hospitable and gracious. Lamb pops were so amazing. Might drive 95 miles back for those babies.

We decided to try Vele for our anniversary last night and it did not disappoint! It was the best meal we've ever had in Springfield by far. We ordered the Sea and Smoke whiskey, grilled octopus, lamp lollipops, ribeye, and the tiramisu dessert. Everything was delicious, especially the ribeye! Definitely worth every penny we paid. The service was great too!! We'll definitely be back!

I don’t use 5 stars often but Vele was probably to best restaurant I’ve been to in SPI yet. With a group of 11 so I got to see a lot of dishes.
They had an extensive drink list and if you are bourbon drinkers, they bring a smoke box to your table for a few of those cocktails. I’m a Tequila drinker.
I started with the squash salad, it was different but very good. Wife had the grilled Caesar, very smoky and I may try grilling romaine in the future. The crab cakes looked amazing.
Entree, my choice was the braised short ribs and tagliatelle and a side of polenta. That entree was what the 5 stars are all about. Sauce was rich and meaty. So good. The polenta was delicious. I told the waiter the visit I was going to order off the menu and get shrimp and grits. Wife order the fillet. I didn’t even take a bite because mine was so good.
For dessert was the CRAZY tiramisu ball. They poured hot caramel over the top at the table. It was insanely good.

We celebrated my fiance's 30th birthday here and everything was just incredible. The food and service were some of the best we have ever had. Our server was wonderful, I wish I could remember his name. Highly recommend the eggplant bruschetta appetizer, as well as the filet!

Excellent food and service. We went there for our anniversary dinner and it was great. Good selection of drinks that were well prepared. My Salmon dish was excellent. The waitress threw on a free Tiramisu dessert that was exceptional. The price was high but fair and worth every single penny.

Superb menu options with very friendly staff and excellent service. I was very impressed here. The bar selection and service was great, and the food something to come back for. Great spot for a date night, celebration, or work gathering! I would definitely recommend trying the grilled Caesar salad. Such a unique and smoky flavor!

Love Vele! One of my absolute favorite places to dine. Best appetizers, esp the spicy calamari and crispy broccolini! Plus my friends and I adore Nick who is by far the best at Vele! He goes out of his way to ensure everyone feels taken care of... and typically remembers "your usual".

Food and Drinks: 5/5: We had the grilled Caesar salad and the raw oysters for appetizers. Both were excellent. The oysters were fresh. I liked both the size (perfect for sharing) and the spin on the Caesar salad. It was grilled and the applewood smoked bacon complimented it perfectly. The dressing wasn’t too tangy at all. The ancho cherry margarita and summer passion cocktails were good (4/5). The lamb chops… perfection. They were tender, the Demi glaze was complimentary and the cauliflower purée was the icing. I took my seabass meal to go and that was also amazing. We both enjoyed the house Cabernet with the main course (5/5).
Ambience: 5/5: It has been a pleasure to be see the restaurant grow. The location is spacious and well designed. It speaks for itself.
Customer service: 5/5The hostess squeezed us is last night with no hesitation and decided she would figure the rest out and we appreciated that. Our waitress was also extremely attentive. I have always had excellent customer service here and last night was me exception. The 5/5 rating is earned for the consistency alone.

Easily one of the best restaurants in Springfield… I recommend it!

My fiancée and I did our Valentine’s Day on the 15th and made reservations. The atmosphere of the place is very elegant, and the lighting sets the mood. Our waitress was Bella; she was awesome and provided extraordinary service! We started with the crab & shrimp cakes which were delicious, the sauce was citrus based but paired very well. My fiancée had the linguini Alfredo with grilled chicken and it was delicious and I had the salmon which was blackened with black beans, and jasmine rice, along with pico and a green salsa, the salmon was cooked to perfection! Hands down this was a 5-star experience! If you’re looking for a great fine dining experience in Springfield, I highly recommend them!

Awesome food. Ordered calamari, salmon crudo, grilled oysters, halibut and tiramisu. All the dishes were tasty and great.

This is another restaurant we opted to try for the first time. We had not visited them when they were downtown, but glad we gave them a shot. They have a good whiskey selection and plenty of wine to pick from.

We ordered the caprese and Caesar salads. Both were well put together and very flavorful.

Our entree was the 8oz filet. I ordered mine medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. At some places you ask for med rare and it's ok on the inside, but it's mushy and soft on the outside. Here the steak was plenty warm, and had the perfect level of crispness on the outside.

We'll definitely be back.

Vele is the best restaurant in Springfield. I went for my birthday and it was amazing! Get the scallops! I also loved the crispy broccolini & the cocktail Mrs. Sherry. I would recommend sitting inside to get the full experience.
