Great experience stopping by here on my way along I-70 towards Denver, will have to make this a regular stop for my road trips through Kansas! Food and service are both amazing and breakfast is served all day, and there are buffets offered at certain times as well.

Just yes! The food is like my Nana’s, delicious. It’s very “honestly” cooking and I love it. The service is just fine! The ladies are nice and kept the hot coffee coming and my water topped off. The Atmosphere is basic and I love it. Having just ridden (a motorcycle) 3 hours in 50 degrees with 32 mph gusts of wind, this place is everything that I needed to fuel up (food) and relax a bit in a local atmosphere.

This was a hidden surprise that was so good. It's right off Hwy 70 at the Russell exit. If you're hungry and want a home cooked meal, this is the place. I got here at noon, and it was busy, but they still took great care of my needs. If you're looking for some of the greatest service I've seen in a long time, ask for Cory. She's been here for 23 years, and it shows in how she provides exceptional service and doesn't miss a beat. They have a buffet that was constantly being refreshed, and the food was delicious. If you decide to go here, make sure you say HI to Cory!

Awesome local restaurant. They have a buffet on Sunday it was $14.50 including salad bar fried chicken, stuffed peppers, and beef strips. I ordered a smoked pork chop with hash browns it included the salad bar. It was a good meal . We also ordered chicken gizzards meal with salad bar included. It was tasty. Service was efficient. On a Sunday it was busy

This whole review section accurately portrays this restaurant. We came based on the fried chicken recommendation and it did not disappoint! I could have eaten the chicken and the salad bar until I had to apologize for it. The staff in approachable and nice. The place is definitely hella quiet. Which I appreciate but it's definitely a vibe. If you are coming by Russell I would 100% recommend stopping by here

This was a delightful place to stop and eat on an exhausting trip across the country. Food was yummy. It came out fresh and hot and quickly. I loved the atmosphere. I could hear the conversations of the locals around me and everyone seemed to know one another and I just enjoyed it all around. It’s stops like these that make me feel like I should move to a small town. Thank you for the comforting experience on our way home from a funeral. We will definitely be back! Oh and the prices were good too! Bypass disgusting McDonald’s at the exit and go a little bit further and go to this little gem! You won’t regret it ❤

My husband wanted to take me to this place, a sort of bucket list. We drove 3 hours to get to this place for the ribeye. It was totally worth it! It's just a clean little diner but don't be fooled, it has awesome ribeye! If we head east we'll definitely stop again.

We have been on the road for a while it was great to find a place that had great home cooking. While not typically a buffet person we opted for it and are glad we did. Everything we sampled was delicious.

2 of us got the buffet $13 each, excellent value. I ordered the Denver omelet with hashbrowns and "dollar cakes" $11. They were full sized pancakes! Down home atmosphere, friendly and quick service.

No finer breakfast anywhere. And a great place to finish off the day for supper too. The steaks are as good as you will find across the country. Pork chops are fantastic too. Meridy is sometimes busy, but she will stop by your table for a chat if she can. Great place!!

To have the biggest and best steak that is grass fed beef from local ranchers. You won't have a better piece of soft tender ribeye steak. It comes with all you can eat salad bar or soup. Choice of potato. And drink. I get sweet tea. The staff is wonderful and there is big truck parking in back. Call ahead to get a big one ready for you they personally cut the steak to your size. Small is cover the plate and large is a platter size which I got.
I take it for dinner and then breakfast it is that big.

You cant beat the hospitality and the great food. Small town folk with big hearts, kindness and can they cook.

Buffet and menu ordering, beer, water and tea awaits your thirst. The servers are enjoyable to talk with. Next time your looking for a place to stop and grab dinner, stop in and have a seat and enjoy the menu.

Tonight we grabbed the small horderves tray and chose the small ribeye steak dinner. Mashed potatoes and yummy brown gravy. Looking forward to my return trip.

I ate at the restaurant on my way from Kansas City to Denver. Natalie, the server, was very kind and we spent some time talking. The food was quick, good and cheap. I would eat there again.

Very nice home vibe. Great food and amazingly delicious looking buffet... with real food. Love the fact that this place has quite a bit of space for truck parking

We walked in and you can definitely tell this was a regulars type of diner. We felt a little out of place because we weren’t from around there. We sat down and our waitress was great. Always kept my iced tea filled and was fast with the food.

I read the reviews and was told they had the best steaks. There sign said best steaks in the Midwest. Their pics looked great on other Google reviews. I was ready to order a lunch steak and there was a note on the menu that said “Due to rising meat prices ask for the current market price”. The cheapest steak (breakfast steak) was $36! The cheapest ribeye was between $46-$52 and that wasn’t even the market price. I couldn’t justify paying that much for a steak.

I settled on the all you can eat salad bar for $7.95. Everything on it was homemade (the salads, the eggs, the ham, everything tasted homemade).

My kids orders off the kids menu and enjoyed as well.

It was also AWKWARDLY SILENT in the restaurant. No radio music. Nobody talking. Just very quiet. Not used to that!

I give this place a 5 star. Just on based on customer service they're awesome. The stakes are delicious a little pricey but worth it. And delicious pie.
All my truck drivers they got parking in the back plenty of it. Going to make this a regular stop when I'm coming through Kansas.

A great local restaurant with a wide variety of menu items. I've been several times and am never disappointed. Meridy's has great breakfast, brunch, and lunch items. The servers are attentive and helpful. You never have to wait long for your food. If you're traveling through Kansas on I-70, plan a stop at Meridy's during your drive!
