Fossil Creek Hotel & Suites

Jan 8, 24 Blizzard shut down I-70 and placed our journey on hold. Checked out a few of Russell’s finest hotels and after speaking to the front desk @ Fossil settled in for the storm. The staff made the best of the situation and were amazing. Cookies, hot dogs & a keg of beer appeared in the lobby to everyone’s enjoyment. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to spend an unexpected stop. Added bonus - Waudby’s bar in town was so much fun. The burger was amazing and the locals were awesome. Definitely worth the stay.

Very clean, well decorated rooms. Breakfast is top notch: made to order omelets plus biscuits and gravy, potatoes, sausage, fruit, cereal, waffles, and more. Front desk gal could use a lesson in friendliness and smiling, but everyone else was great. We also attended a wedding in the conference room and it was a nice and big space with dance floor. Convenience store, gas station, and bar and grill in same parking lot, likely owned by same company, all walking distance. That plus being right off I 70 makes location perfect for the area.

The best motel we have ever stayed at. Our family travels and they made our family feel at home. The pool and hot where nice and clean and felt great after a long drive. Breakfast was excellent and our other meals we took advantage of the discount meals from the Fossil Bar and Grill which was great. We will be back for sure. Thank you for the great stay.

This place was a great find. It was clean, the breakfast was adequate, and the people were friendly. They have free popcorn, cookies, and a keg of beer in the evenings. It was a little confusing to find the way in as it seems like you're going into the gas station.

Best family hotel- more like a resort! Amazing WARM pools, real old-fashioned free homemade breakfast (unlike the chains), they custom made my kid scrambled eggs with whites only to accommodate her allergy, the rooms are clean and allergen-free, I could not say enough. We will go out of our way to come back here. Going to the local movie theater tonight.

While the hotel is older and could use a little updating in the rooms it was VERY CLEAN!
The staff was very nice.
The pool area was clean and relaxing.

This hotel came highly recommended by friends. Last night was our first time to stay here. Hotel was very clean and everyone was very friendly. Breakfast and coffee were very good with my husband having one of their made to order omelettes. Hotel is nothing fancy but we will take cleanliness and friendly any day of the week. We stay in a lot of hotels. Plenty of truck parking. If there is one thing I could change it would be larger bath towels. Definitely will return.

My family and I stayed at Fossil Creek Hotel & Suites for 3 nights we had great time . They have fresh eggs u choose what you like to put in ur omelets for breakfast every morning. We enjoyed going to the pool. We had so much fun. EVERYDAY the housekeeper checking up on us to make sure if we need anything. FROM ROOM 214

Alright, listen here folks: this is the place you've been searching for. Traveling with kids or pets, Fossil Creek Hotel has got to be the very best choice on all of I70! I was checking out reviews in Hays and Salina - we even drove through Hays to see the hotels there in person... needless to say, we didn't stick around long! Fossil Creek was well worth an extra 25 minute drive down the road. Great rates for seriously great service! Lovely staff! Beautifully maintained building, inside and out. Free cookies and popcorn at check in! Clean and comfy rooms with everything in working order, fantastic water pressure, cold AC... then there's a pool! And freshly made, custom order omelettes for breakfast! The whole breakfast bar was amazing, best we've seen and tasted! It's hotels like Fossil Creek that make you wish you could stay longer - but the road calls!

Very nice and warm feeling hotel. Rooms a little dated but very clean. Breakfast was really great. Cozy lobby to sit and hang out in. Over all very warm and inviting. Complimentary popcorn, cookies and beer at night. Yes I said beer! Oh and room doors DO NOT Slam shut. That was so nice! We are traveling with 4 medium to small dogs and they were able to accommodate us all in one room, thank you very much for that!! Highly recommend staying here!

One of our favorite places to stay, it's a cozy atmosphere. Several hot tubs, big pool and kiddie pool. You can feed the fish in the morning, great breakfast and coffee. You can get a room that walks out to the hot tubs or a balcony facing in.

We have stayed at this hotel a few times, and it has always been a great experience. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and very quiet. The home made cookies in the evening are a nice touch, and the breakfast is excellent. The lady cooking made-to-order omelets does a great job of it. Last time through, I drove about 100 miles farther than I'm usually comfortable with in a day because I didn't want to stay anywhere else.

Quite honestly one of the nicest, best run/manged hotels we've ever seen/stayed at.

Clean! Quiet! Best value we have found. The indoor pool and hot tub are amazing. The staff is helpful and professional. The amenities are endless, comfy beds, plenty of extra blankets and CLEAN! The place is charming, convenient to I-70 and gas station with yummy fried chicken next door. We were absolutely delighted.

The Fossil Creek Hotel and Suites has reasonable rates, is clean, and has an inviting atmosphere. Ashley and Brittney were most accommodating. Awesome amenities to include an indoor pool, kiddy pool and jacuzzi. Breakfast was phenomenal, especially the"made to order" omelets. I would recommend staying here even if it's just for a day to relax and meet the kind people.

Very nice hotel with a breakfast that includes a cooked to order omelet. I thought housekeeping was having a contest or something because all of my sheets and towels were perfectly folded and placed with no wrinkles! Highly recommend this hotel!

The entire hotel was extremely clean. The entrance and lobby are very homey! The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The room was great; bed was soft enough for me and firm enough for my husband. We even had a microwave and fridge in a $90 room. The breakfast was great! Fantastic variety of food and well kept! It was a bit crammed moving around the tables to get to food, but that's the only "negative" thing I can say!

My family has been coming to this hotel for many years to have our annual family reunion. They have always been very accommodating. The conference room we use for most of the festivities is very large and includes a full kitchen so we are able prep food for such a large group. The rooms themselves are very tidy and are also very quiet. The beds are also very soft and comfortable. We will be coming back here for years to come.
