A&W Restaurant

There was a drive up A&W by my grandparents' house growing up, and I remember sitting in the car drinking root beer floats. I hadn't seen one in years, so when I was stuck in Russell for the weekend, we stopped by. Burger was good, and root beer was great! Not in a glass mug like back in the day but still brought back memories.

This place was a blast from the past! It's not far from 70 and the food is so delicious! We stopped in for a bite and the staff was fast and friendly.

Restrooms were clean and the place is a great stop for kids!!

It was nice to visit an old school A&W that wasn't in a truck stop. Felt very mom and pop which reminded me of when I was growing up going to the old drive up A&W. Great food and friendly service. We'll definite stop again when we're posing through again. Highly recommend.

First time being here. Staff was friendly service was fast restaurant was clean. Food was hot. Definitely will be back next time we travel though

This is a "vintage" A&W (built in 1950) that still has a drive-in! It's located in the boyhood town home of Bob Dole, a fun piece of trivia. The facilities were clean and well maintained and we had efficient, friendly service. The burgers were hearty and wholesome. The rootbeer float brought back fond childhood memories of A&W visits in days past.🍦

Haven't eaten at one of these in years since we don't have one near. The food was exactly as I remember. The root beer was so creamy and yummy.

This place is awesome best place to stop for some old fashioned American home made cooking im 26 and my family used to come here when i was verry little now i am bringing my fakily every year. We willbe back soon.

This is authentic old school A&W all the way down to the frosty mug and the drive up car hop service! The people were great, the food was good, the place was super clean! It's worth checking it out! It was a blast from the past.

A legendary tradition in Russell! This location is super-clean and well run. I’ve been enjoying burgers and treats at this A&W since the 1970s, and the food and service are as great today as ever. Timeless, tasty, a local favorite!

This has been a favorite of mine for the last 50+ years. Not because the food is unusual or outstanding, but because it brings warm memories of my childhood, spending time at these places with my parents were so wonderful, now I share it with my children and grandchildren, hoping they will be able to experience the
same happiness I have.
The food is still good, the root beer floats and just root beer still have the same wonderful taste they did years ago.

Stopped in Russell for gas and left with ice cream.

I've eaten here multiple times and have never had a bad meal! Most recently I enjoyed the 3-piece cod dinner with fries and cole slaw. As I was swinging by during a business trip, I opted to drive 35 miles home prior to eating. A few minutes in my air fryer, and my meal was as hot and crispy as when it was fresh. The fish is one of Tim's Lenten specials. Try it! Also, the staff was super with smiles on their faces!

A&W is always prompt, great customer service, smile, & good is always fresh & tasty! The restaurant and seating area, plus bathrooms are always clean! Car hood are always friendly & prompt. Tim the owner is almost always there working hard & supporting his staff & restaurant.

Love the food, the ice cream, and of course the root beer. Great staff.

Chicken was nice and crispy, fries were a great texture. Came out quick during a busy time of day. Everything tasted great!

Had the double PapaBurger and onion rings. Was thrilled to find this place. This place has been here since the 50's. Not too many of them left. Great food and great nostalgia!

We got there a little over a half hour before closing and I figured we'd get the stink eye. The cashier was very pleasant and nice. The food was very good as well.

Everything was good and the employees are very nice and friendly.
